This review is long overdue - The first time I worked with Liana was 2 years ago when I did my first flip project. I knew I needed a stager and a realtor recommended Liana from Stage of Mind. I called Liana to set and appointment. She was professional, friendly and works fast - my appointment was a few days later. For good measure and due diligence, I had two other Stagers come out to estimate as well. She knew that this property was going to be a big and expensive project and unlike the other stagers, she was genuinely interested helping us reduce costs, came up with creative ways to make stuff we already had work and came in at least 1/3 less than everyone else! As I was finalizing clearing up my family home and market strategy for the home, I called Liana to set an appointment. Here is where I am even more impressed: Liana could have just taken my deposit and do the job as scheduled, but instead, she took 1 hour going over my market strategy to make sure I was set up properly to sell the home. It turns out the price my parents wanted was overshot by $1 Million! She was upfront with me and told me that she could still stage my house, but given her knowledge of the market, as she regularly stages in my area, she knows the house can go, but not at the price I want. In the end, she and I came to the conclusion it was better for me to hold onto the house even though it was not in her best interests. I was blown away by her honesty--after walking through she said "this house does not have to be staged but it will sell faster if you stage it". When preparing to sell our home, we decided to stage because there were some features of the house that we felt might make it harder to sell. While selling our home, our family, including 2 young kids, would be living there with our existing furniture. When calling around, I realized that not many stagers are willing to stage with existing furniture. I finally found 2 stagers willing to do it, including Liana at Stage of Mind, so had them come to give me a quote. Liana came to evaluate the house and gave me an overview of what she thought should be done. She gave us advice on which light fixtures and curtains to switch out and her advice was spot on. She is very cost-conscious and her advice reflected that. Since we had our young children, she knew that we needed accessories that would look good but were easy to remove and put back again when preparing for open houses. We decided to go with Liana mostly because I liked her vision of our house better than the other stager but on top of that, since I told her we needed to use our existing furniture, she stuck with that whereas the other stager told me that we had to replace some of our furniture. The other stager's quote was more expensive even after telling her we couldn't replace our furniture. It was a no-brainer to go with Liana who worked within the budget we gave her. Liana and her team of 3 other people came to stage the house. They were very professional, quick and friendly. Prior to them coming, we cleaned out all the clutter but her team moved all the furniture that needed to be moved. 3-4 hours later, our house was transformed! She integrated our furniture so well with her staging that a friend of ours thought the stager brought some of the furniture. I didn't know our house could look like the way that it did. The staging was simple but very tasteful. It was really easy to move accessories out of the way when we were just living in it and also easy to put back when we needed to prepare for our open house. I loved how Liana listened to our needs and applied that to the staging. She was a pleasure to work with and really has an eye for beauty, knows how to bring out the best in the house.
