When selling your home, sometimes the first offer falls through. Such was the case with our recent home sale. We received an above asking price offer before we even had our first open house and thought, "well, that was easy... now it's just going to be rainbows and unicorns" from hereon. WRONG. The negotiations quickly went sour, and we found ourselves back on the market. Unfortunately, we already moved into our new place so the home for sale was left vacant. When we started having open houses again, the response was lackluster. We're talking crickets! Potential buyers had ZERO imagination. Each time, they were able to schedule the installation within the needed time frame, which was critical, and (unlike many stagers) were willing to do partial staging and utilize some of the homeowner's existing furnishings so that the owner did not have to completely clear the home in advance.
