We love, love, love Stagelight for so many different reasons. My daughter started Musical Theater Singing and Dance about 1.5 years ago when she was 4.5 and has really stuck with it; and this studio is magnificent. 1. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ms. Lindsey is THE best. She teaches the dance portion and has so much energy, enthusiasm, silliness - she makes dancing technique so accessible to this age, which quite honestly is a bit more harder to captivate since their attention is all over the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 2. The price/schedules is so amazing. It fits what we need and there are so many class options - including acting, dancing, singing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's just a lot more than a dance studio..so if my daughter were interested in improv/acting later, then she can easily switch to that or use a makeup token to check it out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 3. The productions and how they showcase their students on stage is genuinely such a huge effort and I'm amazed at how they can do this for hundreds of students across 3 shows - we love it and my daughter has a blast on the big stage, with the stage makeup and showing off their skills. And we also love how the costumes are stage/age appropriate - which honestly is something I've noticed in other dance companies I don't love. Cannot say enough great things about Stagelight. The "studios" are very crammed. They tried to put too many kids in one session with only 1 instructor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This arrangement may work for older kids who are able to listen and pay attention but definitely not good for the 4-6yo groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most of the kids were all over the place, talking, playing, distracting others and it was very hard for the instructor to control so many little ones and still try to teach. I don't recommend for very young children. read more

We take my granddaughter here and she loves it. She has attend for over a year. The teachers are terrific and there are so many classes to choose from. The price is just right so you can sign up for more than one class. She has been in one recital and that was very reasonable compared to the other studio she has attended.The costumes are included in the cost. I definitely recommend this studio. read more

My 5th grader started classes at Stagelight last summer, and we've been delighted by our experience. She's taking a few dance classes, Improv Acting, and recently added a private vocal lesson, and she's really enjoying them all. There's such a huge variety of classes that it's easy to find things that work with our schedule, and she's already seen a lot of growth in her performance skills. She likes her instructors and fellow students, and she looks forward to attending class. The front desk is patient, helpful, and responsive. Every time I've had a question or needed assistance, they're right on top of it - both in person and via email. They are truly a pleasure to work with. The facilities are very nice. The studios, lounge area, kitchen, dressing rooms, etc. are all pleasant to be in, and it's clear that they take pride in using their space thoughtfully. I first came to Stagelight for a birthday party and thought it was such a cute idea. When it came time to find a dance class for my daughter who is 3, I tried 2 other studios that I was not a huge fan of. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The minute my daughter walked into class Ms. Lindsey had a huge smile on her face and made sure my daughter felt comfortable and included.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The preschool creative dance is so cute and each child gets a bag with fun things to use throughout the class. There was so much learning incorporated that wasn't just dance related. I can just tell that the instructors enjoy what they are doing and care about the kids. Dance, Singing, Musical Theater and More! The little one loves coming here. The classea are smaller with low teacher to student ratios. The school promotes the arts with a fun spin. The kids work together for biannual performances. The school has a very positive vibe. I have yet to meet a "dance mom" and haven't experienced any negative vibes. The four year old looks forward to the classes all week. She always has her dance gear and shoes packed and ready to go. The teachers keep the yiunher kids involved and alert the classes run about an hour. Every Summer and Winter the schook puts on a musical in the theater. Each class participates. If your child is in two classes, your child may be participating with multiple parts. Three classes is what the school refers to as the "Tripple Threat" and there are multiple benefits. Ms Lindsay teaches the "preschool creative dance" class for 2.5-3.5 year olds. She is INCREDIBLE. The instructor involves lots of pretend play dance (example: "we're going on a bear hunt," and "we're going to the moon") which keeps the kids interested and teaches them to follow instructions. She also manages to sneak in technique and the kids really learn it! My son definitely has first position down and several other important beginning moves. Most importantly, I can tell that he is developing a love for moving his body to music. The recital experience is amazing because you rent your costume, the dress rehearsal is during the class time (awesome if you're working like me and can't take a whole day off for a dress rehearsal). My son had an absolutely amazing time overall and we are enrolling him for another season. I'm very grateful to have found this place! If you have a little one, I strongly recommend it!! read more

We are about 20 miles away from this studio and had no idea what to expect but wanted to give it a try due to the positive vibes we received after our trail run. We have been with this studio for almost five years now. My oldest daughter started in the preschool dance and ballet/tap class when she was not quite 3. We absolutely love Stagelight and I always recommend it to anyone looking for dance classes for their kids. The teachers are wonderful. We have had Miss Darlene, Miss Bonnie, Miss Katy, Miss Lindsey, and Miss Alyssa. During COVID, my daughters continued with the dance classes through zoom and Alyssa was AMAZING. Of all the online classes we experienced when COVID first hit, their dance class was one of the BEST. Alyssa was so attentive to each student during the class and kept my girls engaged and learning through this very difficult time. The teachers really care about the students. They are polished and professional. And I can see that my girls are growing in their skills and still have a deep love for dance. It's a 20 minute drive for us to get to class, but it is so worth it, which is why we've been there for five years and plan to continue with Stagelight for years to come! read more

We have been at Stagelight for about 6 months now. My daughter loves going and looks forward to her class each week. Alyssa is great with the kids! You can tell she truly enjoys her job!! She's very positive, caring and makes the class fun! The other staff are very friendly and welcoming as well. Each studio/room has a viewing window so you can see your child in class. They have 2 dance rooms and 1 singing room. And have a great space in the back for kids to do homework while they wait, get ready, a place for their stuff...etc. The front has a lot of space to hang out while you wait for your child during class. Stagelight is such an amazing performing arts center! All of my kids have loved the classes here. The teachers are all so sweet and it's such a relaxing environment. We were at two other dance studios previously that were so competitive that it just wasn't as fun. Stagelight makes every class so much more fun!
