I hired Glen to install epoxy flooring in our kitchen and family room. As you can see by my pictures, he does NOT do clean work. There are holes all over our floors (potential holes were never warned prior to start) and you can see he didn't finish the edges well. After asking Glen to fix the issues, he became very standoff with me and my wife and walked off the job- leaving us concrete stuck all over our kitchen cabinets (see pictures), blue tape stuck in my cabinets and concrete, unfinished edges and holes across my entire floor. I was pleased with Glens experience/expertise in the hardscape but I was not thrilled when I noticed the discoloration of stucco. When it comes to prepping he was mediocre when power washing my cement floors. I really wanted to give you a full 5 star review but it's very difficult when I come home and notice the streaks on my porch wall which is the front entrance! As one reviewer mention I wouldn't discount him but make sure you are aware that he doesn't prep/ cover walls. I hired Glen to come to Alaska to refinish a fish processing plant with a high build aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea, I initially thought he was out of Whittier Alaska but when he said California I didn't think he would come to remote Cordova Alaska. But he came, got off the plane with his tools in hand and got to work. Prior to contacting Staintec, we had a bonehead contractor do some masonry and concrete work. Everything was fine until the concrete had troubles curing. It was completely mottled/blotchy. Our concrete looked like cowhide... black spots everywhere... a complete eyesore. The contractor told me it takes time to dry out but it didn't do anything for 3 months. It was a complete embarrassment... even one of my neighbors asked me about it. So after this idiot persistently denied any fault... I decided to seek some outside help from an actual professional. I contacted Glen Roman at Staintec and he responded right away. We had a 20 minute phone call about my issues and he let me know exactly what was going on without even seeing my embarrassing patio. He told me it was differential curing, and sometimes it just happens but also could have been from poor finishing practices (which the original contractor denied). No kidding though... Glen knows his stuff. Outside of his great reviews, go do your due diligence and you'll find a lot about how this guy is pretty much a master in his craft. Just talking to him you can sense he is very passionate and proud of what he does. We decided to go ahead and have him stain our messed up concrete. Very reasonable and fair pricing as well. Our back patio was different shades of grey due to multiple pours of concrete. To even out the color, we hired Staintec to color the concrete a medium shade of brown (forgot color). It looks awesome! Glen did a great job of protecting my plants and keeping the work area clean. He also finished the job very quickly. We also hired Glen to strip the sealer off our stamped concrete in our courtyard. The courtyard was calcified and looked dull. Once it was stripped, he touched up the color on the stamped concrete, then resealed it and the shiner bands. The courtyard looks brand new again. My concrete around my pool deck as well as coping was fading. The stamped/colored concrete was never sealed and I procrastinanted an entire year to have it done. I had some water stains as well as some calcification building up. Glen came out and took some measurements and gave me a great quote. He explained that he is not a miracle worker but I think he's underestimating his skills. He recommend a high pressure wash and a coat of acrylic sealer. I decided to hire him and was home when he did the job. He was on his hands and knees for hours with the detailing around the pool coping. His attention to detail was impressive to say the least.
