Oh my goodness. I've never been so impressed by a service provider as I was by John Ellero with Stairlifts Made Simple. Starting with my initial request for service on my motorized wheelchair (couldn't figure out how to get it closed). I sent the request out on Tuesday night at 11:17. Before 11:18 pm, literally he responded. I'm going to post it in its entirety- that's how impressive it was: "We do not sell these chairs and therefore do not have any real experience with them. If you absolutely need someone to make a home visit, we can do so for a fee based on our service call mileage tiers. Being honest about a lack of experience with this particular product, I can not guarantee we can solve your problem. Before you pay someone to come out, check out this video I found online. Hopefully this is all the information you need. Again we can still come out but I'd like to help guide you for free with some information prior to having to charge for a home visit. Hope this helps. " So needless to say, I had him come out the next day (Wednesday) to fix it. He was pretty swamped and wouldn't be able to make it till around 6 pm. I did not purchase a stairlift from this company and that's why this review is so important. My elderly friend was in a pinch and stuck on his stairlift. I don't know the first things about chair lifts and the manufacturer, Acorn, didn't answer. I just did a Yelp search to try to find someone to quickly help me troubleshoot for my friend and Jennifer and John at Stairlifts Made Simple stayed on the line with me over two phone calls and at least thirty minutes to make sure we got his issue resolved. When I first walked into the store, Jennifer, was on the phone, but acknowledged me and my wife immediately. I was looking for a desk chair, but was not sure what I needed. She patiently explained the different chairs in the store and helped me determine my needs. I decided to purchase a chair they had on the floor. She called John, the owner, and he came into the store, and explained more about the chair and it's operation. Stairlifts made simple not only helped my dad get the right chair for his specific needs but also helped set it up and even helped clean up the area that it was going!. They were very professional and patient given my dads current health situation, he is now able to sleep with his legs elevated ( which is huge for his health ) but the chair even helps him to stand up on the really bad days! I have no problem with the dealer, John Ellero. He has gone out of his way ( He was sick and came to store to assemble and deliver the one chair) to make the Christmas holiday cheery and bright. Ordered 2 X-Chairs on the 13th of December. The ads from the manufacturer say 2-day shipping. Sat with him as he checked inventor and placed order. That is when the whole experience with X-Chair begin to fall a part. John sent and received several emails from the company once what had been ordered was no longer available...they were out of stock but the inventory system said they had the chairs. Now it is December 24th, still no chairs. But wait, it's here. Go to pick it up and it's just one chair and it is not a complete order. One of the big reasons I got this chair was the heating, cooling and massage pad. They ship the chair but not the pad. Now it will be mid-January before I can get the pad and I'm hope the second chair. Now it is December 27th, X-Chair's website shows all chairs are in stock and free shipping. But I still haven't got my order. X-Chair sells direct and through dealers...I wonder if the direct orders get filled before the dealers???? Thanks John for all your effort in getting this order filled-five stars to you. X-Chair has done a lot of advertising to get people to their product but I would give them no stars for offering something and then not being able to deliver. read more

We purchased the AutoChair Person Lift and Mobile Base from John back in 2013. We have been very happy with the products until last week when one of the caster on the mobile base came out and could not be re-attached. Despite being out of warranty John investigated the issue as a possible product defect. He obtained a replacement part, came to our home and was able to repair the Mobile Base. I cannot say enough for the outstanding service that John has provided. I'm mailing a package at Sun City post office and this man comes up to my car and comments on my Harmar Scooter Lift. He says, "This is a model 301 XL." I said, " I know." He goes on to tell me that this is designed for very large mobile wheelchairs and are very heavy. I thinking to myself, Who is this guy? He introduces himself as John Ellero and he installs these lifts for veterans all the time. He notices my anti-rattle attachment and he says that where I connect the lift to the hitch I'm missing a small part. This I didn't know. Then he does something very wonderful. He says, "I have the part you need at my truck and I'll give it to you." Sure enough, I follow him back to his truck and he pulls a plastic small parts kit out and gives me a round short barrel of a part. I see instantly that this is the part that is going to make my installation complete. I tell him that I need his card so I can contact him again and he does. This guy is AMAZING! He strikes up conversations with strangers and helps them out by giving them a free part and invites them to call him with any other problems they might have. John, you are such a breath of fresh air because the other other mobility people in town are so unknowledgeable and just plain rude. Your free small part made my lift so quiet and from now on you have all of my business. Next time, I'll insist I pay you. You are my Harmar Expert! read more
