I was famished when we pulled the cute antique handle on the door to this adorable luncheonette on a cold winter day. What a treat!! Everything about Stam's is fabulous - the people, the food, the decor! Love it! Classic old pharmacy that was lovingly restored. I just love the attention to detail! And the light fixtures are amazing! Ok the food - We sat at the counter & split a tuna melt & an egg salad on brioche. Lemme say I damn near fought my husband over the other half of the tuna melt. The tuna was fresh & flaky. Just enough capers & perfectly grilled. It was scrumptious. The egg salad was great too! Absolutely made with love. I wish I had enough room for one of their milkshakes that I watched get whipped up. Definitely next time.

Cutest leprechaun milkshake of all time... thankfully not 32 ounces of goo. Such a cute treat!

My husband and I have lived in almost every major metropolitan area in the US and the homemade, hand-dipped ice cream at Stam's is as fine as any we have had at any legendary west coast Salt & Straw or Palm Beach Sloan's or Sprinkles. This spring's limited edition cherry blossom flavor was particularly remarkable. Plus, the place is a local legend--the same place my great-grandparents used to take the kids for a treat. So cute! Do not miss if you're visiting this small town.

Had tuna melts for lunch. It was okay for luncheonette food. Fries were crispy and soup was good.

Upon entering, the young woman showed us 2 cases of Hershey's ice cream, and one of fresh homemade ice cream, just made in-house. She also showed me another freezer chest with pints and quarts of other homemade flavors. I was definitely all about the homemade stuff. Got two scoops, Oreo and Peach! I had checked their social media to see posts about the fresh peaches they just got for the ice cream, it was really good! They post regularly, so check that out for their latest flavors! Loved the Oreo too... that was my toddler's favorite. Huge portions! I could not finish it all. My toddler liked the pictures on the walls, especially the posters of a kitten and a giraffe eating ice cream. Cheesy but adorable touch! The young woman who helped us was so kind and sweet... explained all the flavors and said we could sample if we weren't sure. She was in the middle of talking to us when some male employee appeared, took over in an authoritarian way, with no discussion with the woman, and just gave our total, like "where's the money" all brusque and pushy. That young woman was personable and deserves 10 stars; the guy was obnoxious. I wanted to tip the young woman but they don't let you do it with c-card, and I had no cash. So bring cash for tips! I didn't see Mommom... is she fictional or real? Or a spirit watching over us? Any which way, I'm happy I stopped, and will definitely visit again! Tip-- if you want lunch or dinner, stop at the Little Grocer nextdoor. They too have great reviews!

I settled on two scoops (absolutely huge scoops) a scoop of coffee Oreo and a scoop of monster (the blue at the top). I'm an ice cream lover and this did not disappoint. Can't wait to get more this summer.

[Coronavirus review] This is one of a set of a half-dozen or…read moreso wooden shacks that appear to form the "downtown" of Rock Hall. They have an ordering window and a pickup window, and you can order while maintaining a reasonable distance. For some reason, they've renamed their mint chip and mint oreo flavors into something less intuitive, forcing me to ask and have them tell me that it was just mint chip and mint oreo. I ordered the latter, plus a scoop of black cherry. You might be skeptical of combining mint and cherry, but it actually works really well (as I've learned from getting the occasional cherry on top of mint milkshakes). The cherry had whole cherry pieces, and the price for two scoops was low, so I was satisfied. The mint was nothing special. They do have some flavored ice for someone wanting non-dairy refreshments. Presently, the bench next to this place is taped over, but it's not far to the bayside anyway and there's a small beach, so I say drive over while that ice cream's still cold.

Quite possibly no...though maybe, just maybe you'll find yourself…read morein this area (due to the hour away neighboring Dover, Delaware) or perhaps traveling around the rural maritime-ness of this part of the Chesapeake Bay. If so, we all could use a little ice cream and I know just where you can "Get the Scoop." No seriously, that's where. This minuscule ice cream shack, located in the middle of this tiny town, is cleverly-named and can't be missed by the line of people wanting some sweets (especially if there's heat, ya know, from temperature). My girlfriend, her family, and myself found us here a few weeks back and dove into some ice cream that totally hit the spot. Made with what is apparently a local farm brand of ice cream (Kilby Cream), Get the Scoop has a respectable list of creations and toppings. Cookie Monster and Mootella (bet you can figure that one out) are just a few of the somewhat original offerings. My choice came in the form of Tractor Tracks: vanilla ice cream with, well, a lot of peanut butter. There were a few other ingredients mixed in, but the PB reigned supreme. Chunks of amazing nuttiness just knocked this cup of cream out of the park. Pricing was superb and there was plenty of outdoor seating scattered about to scoop up those...um...scoops. The only negative notion I can muster is a lengthy wait once ordering. This is probably because it seemed that ingredients were mixed into that Kilby Cream to concoct those edible options. A factor probably worth waiting for (because hey, it's tasty). Overall, Get the Scoop will give you what you want (as long as that's some good ol' ice cream). I mean, you may not find yourself in Rock Hall tomorrow (or the next day), but I promise if you do, dessert will be waiting.
