My mom and I were up for the weekend and we were intrigued by some pictures found online, so we decided to add a stop to our agenda. When we arrived, there were a few cars there, so we parked near them and a door that we assumed was the entrance. When we entered we were overwhelmed by the amount of products, followed by the amount of space that was dedicated to crafting. I wouldn't think that so much stuff could fit so neatly into one person's home. The first few aisles are lined with charms for necklaces, bracelets and other needs for crafting projects. There were rows of beads, gems, and other fun goodies. I found a bunch of wreath making supplies, a room of flowers and a room of ribbon...and some Christmas items. The owner is a super nice person and I can only assume that she was "the" Claudette, since I never did ask her name. My mother and I were just so excited speaking with her and checking out the craft samples that she and her family had made. This place is for the true crafter. One who isn't afraid to spend their time looking through thousands of items just to find that perfect piece. Though I'm sure if you ask, you will be told right where you will find what you're looking for. I did not see any scrapbook or junk journal type materials. Because the business is in the lower portion of a home, I would assume it is due to climate control. Did I mention that the prices are quite reasonable? I left with a full bag of so many fun things that I just can't wait to dive into. The store is closed on Sunday and Monday, so be sure to plan accordingly. The lady there was super helpful even letting us borrow a tape measure and calculater to make sure we bought e ough yarn to complete the project. She has an extensive collection of every color, shape and size of mosaic tile imaginable and the know-how to help you create a piece of your own. She has studio times T, W, Th and classes and she also has space for tile parties on the weekend. Her hourly rates for studio use are very reasonable especially where she is also there to assist with projects. Be sure to check out her website as it contains many images of her work. I purchased two small rock tile kits as gifts and have already made plans to go over one evening for the studio time! We need more small businesses like this! Well, stop I did, to see if they had a gift for a friend's birthday. First, I love any store that smells like balsam as you walk through the door. The scent makes me feel like a kid again. I'm not from Maine (have been here long enough to feel at home), but as a kid we used to drive here from Ohio and spend a few weeks going up and down the coast. The smell of balsam reminds me of these trips. Second, I was shocked by the variety they had. Maple syrup, Maine souvenirs, crafting supplies, wooden figurines, and antiques. The have a sign stating that they "glue chairs". I didn't know that was a thing, but apparently, it is... They also sell wreaths and Christmas trees during the appropriate season. And finally, the owners were as nice as could be. They had out hot chocolate for the kids, and they wrapped my little gift up neatly. This little shop is well worth the drive into town because of how darn cute it is!

Oh no I do understand that a different customer might have put that book in the wrong box BUT when…read moreI went back to look at your past issues you had like 4 long boxes sitting there and I asked how much are these you said there ALL $1 boxes I could also tell from the condition that most likely that was a book that you received when it was new it didn't sell so it made it in the $1 box as most do but that one just happened to go up a little bit in the 10 years it had been sitting in your store ! And like I stated before you came at me with the Mint Condition value ($15) which it clearly wasn't it was probably worth $7 so the fact that you couldn't give up a few dollars on a book that you most likely paid less then cover price 10 years earlier that's ridiculous all that aside I remember very clearly you saying oh that shouldn't have been in that box that should've been back here (pointing behind you on the wall) ! So your excuse isn't gonna fly ! Either way your a used item store so when you buy something from someone you only pay a price low enough so you can turn around and sell it for a profit right ? So what I'm saying here is let's say you buy an item for $20 and it's worth $40 at the time so $20 profit right ? That's good double your money so why is it so bad for you to just put that $40 on the item and leave it there your still getting the original profit you were originally fine with but your way of thinking is if that item went up $10 YOU need to get that extra $10 instead of letting what could be a loyal customer get a good deal and you still get the profit you intended from the beginning this is what I was trying to express to you in my last review I mean you have MANY items in your store that have been there for YEARS ! I'm not saying if you paid $5 for an item then it sky rockets to $500 to still sell it for $10 but I mean if you let that go for ....$300 then wouldn't you say you both win you only expected to get the original $10 but got $300 then your potential RETURN customer got an amazing deal to which you know he would brag about to EVERYONE! I'll leave this here I think I've made my point hopefully everyone understands what I was trying to get across ??
