He did not just put the ledge stone as a border, he made an inground foundation to mortar the stones in place and keep the grass from crawling under the border and into the beds. This was a complex project due to the glue down installation of bamboo floors that had to be removed at the second level of the house. Portions of the first floor finished in polished concrete were also installed - all along a gentle curve.. The care and precision of installation was perfect, particularly working around a curved steel stair case that was finished in 3" floating black walnut treads. After a year of use and a long overdue review, I remain extremely impressed with the durability and beauty of these floors. The entire team was fantastic to work with, particularly Steve and his install lead Cesar. When you have a single guy on the install team that makes all of the cuts, you know they have their process down pat. We did not have a single punch item on the job. After our personal experience, we had Steve provide floors for my daughter's house in Mercer Island, Washington. Steve advised on locating a certified flooring installer and the results there were fantastic - a custom herringbone pattern and color perfectly fitting the mid-mod house. Lincoln Jacob was contacted to review my home because I couldn't tell whether I was dealing with…read moretree root invasion or a more significant issue. They responded quickly, came to my home, and thoroughly assessed the damage. What really stood out is that they didn't immediately try to push a costly solution. Instead, they advised close monitoring and said they would follow up over the next 60-90 days so I wouldn't spend money that I might not need. However, when my home began to worsen and I could tell the situation was progressing, they acted immediately--scheduled the work right away and returned to install piers to properly elevate and stabilize the home so it would stop sinking. Throughout the entire process, the team was highly professional and respectful of my property. The work area was necessarily invasive, but they kept everything extremely clean and handled my home with care. Communication was excellent, with clear explanations of what to expect and a solid timeline from start to finish. They also provided a full warranty, and the quality of the job is flawless. I cannot recommend Lincoln Jacob enough. I found them reasonable, meticulous, and genuinely worth every penny--and I will absolutely use them for future jobs.

Had some cracks around the house wondering if I had any foundation problems especially with our…read moreterrific clay soil in Katy. Had 2 structural engineering firms - both had different solutions to the same cracks. Called Lonnie and Jack at Lincoln Jacob Construction (LJC). They came up with a 3rd solution that incorporated the best of both engineers. Claeton 2nd in command from LJC came over to redo the inspection that the other 2 engineering firms completed. He noted there was a marginal need to do anything . We decided to pursue a minor lift to fortify our foundation. After the completion work, LJC had the engineering firm to do final inspection. Voila - house foundation now solid and leveled. The people at LJC are great - honest, responsive and excellent value for a local Katy company. Some tips ; expect lots holes, but will be filled back up with soil or new concrete patch. For those areas where you don't want an unaesthetic concrete patch - like the entry to your front door -request tunneling. Ask for rebar added to concrete piers to provide more strength. Expect new cracks- this is inevitable but the majority of the my old cracks are much better Make sure engineering firm comes back to certify the completed work. My recommendations work with a good team . The best is Josiah at Crosstown Engineering and work with a honest responsive and excellent construction company - Lincoln Jacob Construction - Jake, Lonnie, Claetan, Omar and Jamie were great.

They came out and ripped the old tile out and put new tile down (~ 400 Sq Ft) in only 2 days, with clean up on the 3rd day. On last week, they came out again and put new flooring down in my foyer. I am looking forward for them to come out again to complete my last two rooms when my timing is right. I would highly recommend this company.
