There are hotel rooms in the back, facing the river. The River Centre is located in a sleepy little Ozark town, Van Buren, Missouri. The backdrop to the River Centre is stunning. I've never been to a paid event here but I imagine the prices are in line with other venues of this size. The Blue Heron restaurant is located inside the River Centre and it is a wonderful restaurant. People come from out of town to eat here. Amazing place to eat. The River Centre is easy accessible and parking is plentiful. There is no reason for you to not attend. You will be so glad you attended an event or dined here.

Oh an the "crew" she brought was her husband. ONE person. They stood in the corners all nite, the family of the bride had to make sure the head table had drinks and food and drink were where they should be. THe planner did NOT get the parents together when the cake was cut, my friend missed it. She was busy refilling ice buckets because it was NOT being coordinated. So basically if you want to pay someone to apparently watch your family so all the work then go ahead and hire her. Otherwise go with a reputable company at with 1. A valid website, 2. Contract, 3. BBB raring and common sense. Oh did I mention as soon as the bride and groom left so did she!!!! No supervision of the vendors leaving and my friends family and friends had to clean up. Just very unprofessional!!!!

She also regretted to inform the florist in a change of arrangement, due to the weather, and couldn't find her way out the predicament besides yelling at the bride. After the ceremony the reception had to set up for and the only two people really helping with set up was, the mother and the bride and the brother. They were running around setting up multiple tables because Betsy did not have enough table for guest OR the brides immediate family. Betsy was also very rude to the bridal party and snarky towards the bride and groom. On top of all of that when the bride and groom left at 8 pm she left instead of cleaning up the venue, my family stayed until 11 pm cleaning up. We DID NOT want to be involved in every single detail and wanted to delegate as much as possible to Angela. She helped with contracts, design, vendor selection, and with my sanity. Angela took care of every detail and was extremely organized. Angela organized things so well that we only made a single trip to Memphis during the planning process for a weekend filled with meeting DJs, musicians, tasting caterer menus, and visiting venues. Most importantly, Angela took the time to understand the vision we had for our wedding and was very creative and meticulous in executing it. She had great vendor recommendations, but didn't mind working with new vendors we had heard good things about. She worked her contacts to help us find a band composed of local church musicians, and mined flea markets for months looking for decorations - she really went above and beyond.
