Honest experience with this store…read more Context: Goal was to build front porch steps using composite decking. Sounds simple right? Guess again. TLDR: Avoid this store at all cost. If you have to use them - watch them like a hawk at every point in the process from account creation, planning, ordering, and invoicing. Lastly, expect to delay your project another month from the inevitable errors they'll make. ____________________ Problem #1: I go in-person, and set up an account alongside writing down my credit card information on a separate form to attach to the account. When it's time to pay via phone, they claim I did indeed set up an account, but didn't have card information connected to the account, which makes absolutely no sense when I simultaneously opened the account and filled out the credit card form. Good to know there's an unprocessed form with my CC information floating around in that store. Problem #2: They insisted I have my contractor bring in the dimensions and plans for my stairs and they would take care of the rest in terms of ordering quantity. Seems like white glove service! Nope. Don't take their word for it. Even with the standard 10% overestimate accounting for error, I was stuck with way more deck boards than I needed, based off of their "recommendations." And all returns require approval and even if approved impose a %15 fee. Nice scam. Problem #3: They mess up my order TWICE. First, they give me the incorrect railing. Second, they forget to order the deck screws. Problem #4: When they take back the incorrect railings ordered, they also suggest they take back the post sleeves by giving us the rationale that the railings may not be compatible with the sleeves. Makes perfect sense to me. Little did I know, they wouldn't provide any paper trail of keeping the post sleeves. When the new railings come in, they don't provide the post sleeves and claim that we picked them up in the initial order. At this point their only solution is that I pay another $400 in post sleeves because they refuse to accept the fact that they never gave us the sleeves the first time. Logically, why on earth would I need an extra set of post sleeves? Do they suspect me of reselling them on the black market? Again, nice scam. Problem #5: They horrendously mark-up their prices. I'm all for helping local businesses, but after they tried cheating me out of $400 for 4 post sleeves at $100 a pop, I decide to check out the big box stores to find alternatives... only to find the same exact post sleeves at Lowe's for $44. Are you kidding me? The funny part is, they claimed $100 was with their "employee discount" to make me think they were doing me a favor. On top of the horrendous customer service, they have the audacity to markup these items MORE than 200%? Laughable. Yet again, great scam.

This location has over 100,000 square feet of warehouse space." Okay, so what does a trader of the finest natural stone mean? Well, it might mean a little more than the target for why I was there but for the most part -- think counter tops and the like. You are not going to get pricing here and I can almost understand why. Part of the problem is you are most likely not going to be buying anything from them at all. It will be the counter top fabricator that will be doing this and since this place only sells slabs they might have a good amount left over after finishing your job depending on what your needs are and how big the slab is. What is left over is referred to as the remnant business which is something you will NOT be able to find here directly. The only thing of help are dollar sign counts like '$' vs '$$$$$'. Think Yelp when it comes to cost -- your milage will vary but in general you at least know the ballpark you are getting yourself into. Otherwise, what to expect is a teeny tiny showroom where you are going to see almost nothing but then the real fun begins when you are escorted by an expert through the warehouse where it is like that last scene of the original Indiana Jones film where they were safely storing the ark. In this case, you are trying to find the slab(s) that stand out for your needs from all of the others safely filed away in their warehouse.

Website lists products they don't have, customer service is terrible…read more I ordered and paid for their seeding mix which was listed on their webpage. They did not respond at all that day, and I called the next day to try to schedule delivery. It turns out, they don't have that soil in stock. Instead of helping me by changing the order, the man who answered the phone was rude, told me to cancel it on my credit card and that they hadn't processed the charge. This means they saw it come through, knew they didn't have the soil, and didn't bother to call or email me. The whole time he acted like I was inconveniencing HIM, when in actuality I was trying to give them hundreds of dollars, like I used to do every year. Then he had the nerve to hang up on me, as if I'd done something wrong by ordering soil and following up the next day. I was friendly the whole time. He was acting like a petulant child. I can't dispute the transaction on my credit card since it hasn't processed, so it's just sitting in financial limbo and I have to trust that they won't process it later and try to sneak it by me. I'll need to spend the next few weeks following up on this now. I'll also be finding a new compost supplier. I'm planning on replacing my entire front lawn with garden beds this summer and will need plenty of soil and mulch. Oh well.

I love their supply of lumber, it is unparalleled to all the yards I have been to. I will agree…read moreservice there can be sketchy and the process they use is confusing, especially for those who have no experience dealing with a lumberyard. However, it is a pretty common, old fashioned, kind of lumberyard. I see that there were many complaints regarding issues with the wood, cupping warping, color changes when items are substituted or replaced. One thing to understand, wood is a natural product and behaves in an unpredictable ways after being Milled and finished. While the customer wants their job to be perfect, it is often a tall order given the natural or unnatural characteristics of wood. There is no real cookie cutter technique when creating a custom wood project using unique and custom milled woods. Which is probably why you do not see a business like this in every town or county. I have never had them build anything for me or had them mill any of my lumber. So to critique this aspect of the business would be inappropriate. I will say that you will be hard pressed to find a yard with the diverse species available here. I will continue to use them for my wood needs. Prices are decent and the material is great, from what I have experienced.
