What a hidden gem in the heart of Huntingdon. Friendly staff, cool art on the walls, plenty of seating and the roast their own beans! My wife was sad to only have discovered this place on the way out of town after a week long stay but I know we will be back! Their breakfast foods were awesome. I got the fruit and yogurt parfait while my wife and our daughter split the bagel sandwich. Coffee was great! Cannot wait to try more of their roasts!

A quaint cafe in Huntingdon PA where Juniata students gather. They offer student discounts. Their breakfast items were nice though nothing special. Loose leaf tea was a nice touch, and it came with a hourglass! Generally warm ambiance.

What an awesome cafe! This place has a very homey and welcoming feel to it right as you walk in! The food and drinks were delicious, well portioned, and fairly priced. And to top it all off the workers were super friendly! Highly recommend ordering one of their paninis--they are amazing. Also a cafe that serves spiced hot apple cider?? I'd come back for that alone. This lovely place is now on my must-go list for the next time I'm in Huntingdon.

Best scones we've ever had! Coffee was also terrific and the staff were wonderful. We bought unusual treats for stocking stuffers too!

Great coffee offerings from farms they have visited and met the growers. To this company, coffee is a passion not just a commodity!!!

Is breakfast available all day? Or only until a certain time?

We love breakfast so much that we serve it all the time! Sometimes, we need to make an exception if we have an incredibly busy night but this is only on rare occasions.

When I realized they did a peppermint/mocha in a shaken expresso. I was excited. Let me just say- that's the BEST shaken expresso I have ever had! It was Christmas in a cup! The high ceilings gave the shop a light and airy feel. This probably isn't the best place to study or work since the sounds of voices bounce off the walls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I ordered an iced strawberry fields matcha latte and a blueberry muffin. I think I was accidentally given a mixed berry muffin, but it wasn't a big deal. It was still delicious. The matcha, when I received it, was also very good and I really enjoyed it. My one gripe is that it took 25 minutes to receive my drink. While waiting, I noticed that the two individuals handling the food were rock stars. They got orders out very quickly and efficiently, and I had my muffin in less than five minutes. I also noticed the number of other patrons waiting for long periods of time. People who placed orders after I did received their coffee drinks, so I was confused. When my name was finally called, I noticed that three matcha drinks were ready at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the barista making the numerous matcha orders at the same time, but the 25-minute wait seemed quite excessive. There was a steady stream of customers, so it was busy, but not insanely busy. Again, I enjoyed everything about River Bottom Roasters except for the long wait for drinks.

I've spent a ton of time in serious coffee shops from Shanghai to New York with Q graders and baristas with bonafides. Alabaster can stand up to the best of them. The coffees we tried were fantastic. The Rwandan was delicious and the roast complimented the natural expression of the beans. My dad got the Ugandan which was awesome as well. I grabbed a bag of the Salvadoran beans to take home, and it brews up an amazingly clean and interesting cup (I used a V60). One of the better cafes I've visited in the U.S. with a roaster that knows what they're doing. On top of all that, the tahini date banana bread we tried was seriously good and wasn't a premade, mass produced baked good like so many cafes have resorted to in recent years. On top of that, the cafe was beautiful with reclaimed wood tables. We were traveling with our dog and they allowed her in because she was well-behaved. Nice people, awesome cafe, world-class coffee, and seriously good pastries. Keep up the incredible work! I will be back to Williamsport for more.

There were plenty of outlets along the walls, which made it relatively easy to study. There was a lot of foot traffic, but the overall ambiance did not get too rowdy, providing pleasant white noise. There were a few seasonal specials, but otherwise the selection was not very large. The tea selection was rather small, especially considering it is part of their name. Drinks came out extremely quickly. There was a dish tub near the entrance to drop items off after finishing. I tried their seasonal egg nog cappuccino, and it came out lightly warm. The egg foam was not overwhelming and the spiced notes were well incorporated into the drink. It was not too sweet and gave me a pleasant buzz. I hope to see more diverse tea options in the future, but the overall feel and quality of this cafe were great.

I've walked and driven past it many times but had somehow never made it inside. Since Denim was also participating in the 2026 Cumberland Valley Coffee & Chocolate Trail, it felt like the perfect excuse to check it out and grab a quick late-afternoon pick-me-up. I walked in around 4pm and found a handful of people inside -- some chatting quietly, others working on laptops. The space was clean, calm, and welcoming, with soft music playing overhead. The woman at the counter was an absolute sunbeam on an otherwise dreary afternoon, greeting me warmly and happily taking my order. I went with an iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla syrup (extra sweet, please!) and oat milk. Total came to $5.25. While she prepared my drink, I took a moment to look around and realized what a great view Denim offers from their bar seating area. Full glass windows with stools looking out over the square in Carlisle make it a fantastic people-watching spot. That afternoon, the Farmers Market was set up across the square, and it was fun watching people dash between stands while dodging raindrops to grab their weekly goodies. It struck me as a perfect place to meet a friend, spend a few hours working on a laptop, or just decompress with a coffee and watch the world go by. Denim also had a small sweet treat case with snacks that would pair nicely with coffee. I stuck with just the drink this time, but everything looked tempting enough that I'd definitely consider adding a pastry next visit. A few minutes later my name was called and my drink was waiting at the end of the counter. One interesting touch: they placed the container of oat milk beside my coffee so I could add exactly as much as I wanted. It's a small detail, but not something you see at many coffee shops, and I appreciated the flexibility. The iced coffee itself was excellent. Unlike some places where iced coffee tastes like watered-down brown liquid, Denim's actually tasted like coffee -- strong, smooth, and delivering a solid caffeine boost. Overall: great service, really good coffee, reasonable prices, and a cozy spot right in the heart of town. The only real challenge is parking since it's so close to the square. Street parking is available nearby, but depending on the time of day you may need to circle a bit. All in all, a great little coffee stop and I'm glad I finally walked through the door.

In addition to coffee and tea, they offer breakfast sandwiches and pastries, along with locally made goods such as flavored balsamic vinegar, customized Keurig pods, candles, and chocolates. The main area has standard tables, while comfortable couches and chairs are tucked away behind a vault door. They offer a regular menu as well as a monthly rotating board. *Egg, Cheese, and Sausage Sandwich: was served on an everything bagel. While nothing stood out as exceptional, the components were serviceable. The egg was slightly dry, and the sausage was salty and greasy. The bagel was fluffy, but the overall texture was quite soft throughout. A sauce would have added depth, spice, or acidity and improved the sandwich. *Sweater Weather Chai: was a seasonal blend of chai and hot cocoa. Although it leaned sweet due to the cocoa, the spiced chai still came through clearly. It was a comforting and rich drink with deep chocolate flavor. *Nutcracker Chai: another seasonal offering. The chai was once again fragrant and warming with subtle praline notes. However, it could have been served a bit hotter as it arrived slightly tepid. Bason Coffee Roasting offers great ambiance and consistently good chai. I would likely pick up a sandwich elsewhere nearby and stop here primarily for drinks.
