My wife and I stopped in for breakfast recently. The location was quite charming and we were surprised by the number of people at the restaurant late on a Friday morning. The ambience was bright and clean. Pricing was reasonable. Our server was new and attentive to our experience. The food was OK. My wife asked for her Florentine eggs Benedict to come out hard and they were soft. She had to send them back to the kitchen for additional cook time. My eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and the ham was good and the highlight of the dish. The hollandaise sauce however was watery and on the cool side. The hashbrowns were average. The star of breakfast was the corned beef hash, simply top notch. We will return for a second experience.

Our dogs loved lounging on the shaded patio.

My wife and I visited the Naked Egg Cafe while in State College. The servers couldn't have been nicer to accommodate us and our 2 dogs in their shaded patio. They brought them water and gave them attention. My wife had a delicious breakfast burrito, and I had a GIANT waffle w/ scrambled eggs. We also shared a side of bacon with our pups. My waffle could not have been better, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. I cannot recommend this awesome place enough!

Eggs Benedict with home fries (get the tots instead)

Cute, small place off the road from Huntingdon and State College. Has the "locals" vibe. Service is attentive and friendly. Eggs benedict is decent. Good, but not great. Skip the home fries and go with the tots. The home fries seemed more like the leftover burnt hashbrowns and nothing close to home fries.

The menu is creative and a little different, the food is very tasty, the service is great, and the outside patio is a great place to eat with your dogs!

    Eggs Benedict (allegedly)

Service was fine, but my Eggs Benedict was awful. The english muffin wasn't toasted, the ham was just a couple pieces of lunch meat, the egg was overcooked, and the hollandaise sauce was as thin as water with almost no flavor. And all that for one of the highest prices I've ever paid for the dish.

This place was delicious! The service was fantastic! Our waitress was super nice and wonderful! The banana bread French toast was delicious, creative and inventive, but it sort of felt like just a warmed up piece of banana bread. I think to get the full French toast experience it should but cut thinner so it can really soak up the batter and get that crust on the outside. Heads up, if you order it- that's literally the only thing on the plate, no whipped cream, berries, garnishes etc. Overall good experience here

Breakfast is our families favorite meal of the day so we're always looking for great places to enjoy. Starting with the Irish combining scrambled eggs with salmon, this dish was excellent. Lightly scrambled eggs with flaky salmon creates a delicious combo that goes well with the side of toast and the cook Naked Egg did it well. The Western combined the traditional green peppers with onions done exactly right tasted very good. The BYO's made to order were also very good. The spinach side is made with rich tasty leaves steams yo perfection. Hash home fries are also an excellent side that were light and tasty, a dish that many restaurants will over butter or oil making the soggy but not here. Lastly, the banana bread French toast was a home run. 5-star for this place. Waiter was attentive, and seating was fast for the crowd on a Saturday morning. Oh and if you want to look at the menu, don't rely on the pictures of menus past. Instead follow the link to their online menu and see the latest creations. https://qrco.de/bbhtvF

We were on the road and every breakfast place was only open at 8am, Naked Egg was open at 7am, had good reviews, and pictures so we checked it out. Great discovery! The menu had some unique items like crab Benedict's and banana French toast. They were flexible enough to create an omelet with crab meat, cheese, & tomato which was excellent. Our waitress Rachel Lynn (ironically same first and middle name of my wife ) was friendly, knew the menu and even swapped our coffee when it wasn't hot enough. My Rachael had biscuits & gravy and a latte that was very good. Their coffee is unique as well so don't feel you need to go to a coffee shop. Very good experience and highly recommend the Naked Egg!

The food is amazing. The wait can feel long, but I remind myself that it means my food is fresh. I got scrambled eggs this time, but I actually got over easy the time before and prefered those. Both taste amazing, it's just easier to eat on toast as a whole egg. The tots are nice and crispy. I gave my bacon to my boyfriend, but I have been told it is also amazing. Definitely try to orange juice, it is the best I have had!

The Greek omelet was light, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The Pesto-Port Egg Sandwich was simple but absolutely delicious with a perfectly cooked egg and great pesto. The Balsamic Garden Avocado Toast was as beautiful as it was tasty, with fresh ingredients, creamy goat cheese, pickled onions, and a rich balsamic glaze. The Spicy Mango Sriracha grilled naan was incredibly unique--the sweet and spicy combination worked perfectly. The fresh-baked pretzels are a must-try! We took home several varieties, and they were warm, soft, and some of the best we've had. Even the latte and biscotti were excellent. On top of the amazing food, watching the staff handcraft and bake the giant pretzels right behind the counter added to the experience. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and the service was fast despite the café being busy. If you're in State College, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Fresh ingredients, creative menu, outstanding baked goods, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back!

We had arrange for a graduation dinner here at 8:30 pm for 8 people. Shortly before we headed to the restaurant they called to make sure we were still coming we I thought was odd. This is where they could have righted a wrong by telling us they were very low on entrees and give us the option to decide to go somewhere else. 4 of the 6 dinner entrees weren't available, mashed potatoes were out. Most of the appetizers were also out. We ended up getting the last 4 small empanadas, 2 pretzels and 2 salads then decided to leave it was 9:30 pm by this time. We ended up at McDonalds yay. They did tried to work with us but it wasn't going to work for us. The bartender was snooty I won't get into that. The food is pricey and what we ate wasn't spectacular. My wife got the catfish - she liked it. You want to support local establishments but this was a miss. If you're offering a limited menu then have what's on the menu. Three entrees, two appetizers, two beers, a glass of wine and a soda for $230. Disappointing!

Our local PSU friends told us to make sure we visit the historical venue and we were very happy we did. Dane, our bar tender, was welcoming, friendly, and professional making handcrafted cocktails for us. He was very informative about the building and downtown State College. We really enjoyed his history of the Prohibition era in downtown State College with the connecting tunnels to each restaurant/bar. Next visit to State College we will definitely dine at The Corner Room based on Dane's welcoming and fun atmosphere. While we enjoyed happy hour we noted numerous families (prob PSU student families) all enjoying dinner. Cheers.

The atmosphere hits you right away. Dark wood, old school charm, the kind of place that feels like it has stories in the walls. It is cozy, a little dim, and exactly what you would expect from a spot celebrating a century in business. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. It leans heavily into comfort food, with plenty of sandwich options, but enough variety that most people will find something they like. Prices are fair, nothing over the top. I started with the soup of the day, a sausage gumbo with rice. It was flavorful and satisfying without being overly spicy or heavy. A nice warm up, especially on a rainy day. For my main, I went with Bobby D's famous beef chili topped with cheddar cheese and green onions, served with cornbread. It came out in a cast iron skillet, which was a nice touch presentation wise. Portion was solid, not massive, but definitely filling. The chili leaned a little sweet, which I personally enjoyed, with just a mild kick of heat and a lot of flavor. The cornbread was excellent and tied everything together. This is not a fancy place, and it is not trying to be. It is a comfort food spot that knows its identity and sticks to it. Great for a casual meal, especially if you are in the mood for something warm and satisfying. I would absolutely come back again. Next time, I might even give those sandwiches a shot since that seems to be their bread and butter.

The burger was that good. Because I want to end on a positive, let me start with negatives: the fries were okay. Normally these are a side dish not worth mentioning but this restaurant makes them a star with a fry menu. ( I humbling suggest they try frying in beef tallow to make it a whole other fry experience). The other critical comment is my French onion soup (on take out) was really cold and we weren't late nor (but for the fries) anything else cold. To give you reference, I microwaved for 1 minute and was still cold and did another 1:30. But it was delicious. Now, why 5 stars? The burgers. My son and I both got the Lancaster burger with horseradish mayo on the side and substituting wagyu. It was heaven. It was perfection.
