Stanford Physical Therapy So far so good. I am making improvements weekly post rotator cuff surgery. My PT pushes me to my limits which I painfully appreciate. Eric stretches my shoulder at different angles and range motions that I don't know if I would find. The receptionists are average. read more

I came in for Urgent Care services and was seen within an hour. An hour wait for Urgent Care isn't bad at all. The doctor assessed my issue and I was sent home with a prescription. I've had great experiences when visiting Stanford - Valley Care and I would recommend them to anyone with a PPO health plan. read more

I hate to do this because the therapists were quite nice and helpful for my minor hand injury. They would get 5 stars but when I saw what they billed the insurance for 45 minutes of some light exercises and paraffin treatment (over $2K) I was horrified. I did not and should not have gone here for PT for their billing alone. I have used private PT places who charge 10x less for the same treatment. I only went here bc the doctor suggested it. Hell0 s0 today I went into the er to get medical help and pain management. Sop Dr DouDouglanmshi Yoshida Gave me meds which helped the pain a little. About otwo hours later I asked for more pain meds and the hospital said she will not give iv which helps the pain right away. What are they supposed to do? I left because they both said they were addictethd to that. which i am not and which really was rude and disrespectful that is not right. The hospitalist arguing with e and i asked how are you going to manage my pain, she said pills which ok every time i have been admitted doctors would give me both which that helped but i left and i could be having a stroke due to the symptoms i had they argued i said please stop i am leaving i do not want to be in pain you are suppose to help me not call me names like a drug addicted this was really rude and disrespectful. ashely [please call me asap about this and the other complaints. they didn't even show compassion. eude and major issue ifi have a stroke. read more

Broke my wrist playing tennis and after surgery went to Dublin's Stanford Occupational Therapy. I was assigned to Elizabeth Sakaldasis as my therapist. From day one, she made me feel comfort and never pushed me to do anything I was not comfortable to do. She used different techniques to help me with my PT. Had me bring my tennis racquet in to help with exercises that would strengthen my wrist. She got me playing tennis and golf by 3 months! She was caring, funny, very knowledgeable and I cannot recommend her more. I will miss our sessions, for she made a unfortunate accident into a empowering situation. Thank you Liz! read more

I begged them for help and the dr wouldn't even give me one more day off work even though I hadn't been off but a week ... mind you my injury is a slipped disk in my neck .. I went to another dr who is helping me with my pain . You couldn't pay me enough to go back here .!!!!! read more

I had a surgery at Stanford-Valley Care. Everything was great until the night shift came on duty. I was having numbness in my hand from where they put a IV line for accessing meds. The on- call doctor came in and told the nurse to take it out that it was hitting a nerve. The nurse responded and said" sure". Almost 2 hours later, never saw my nurse and so I took it out myself. I was due to have my pain shot at 8pm. I called 4 times and my wife went out to the nurses station. After, then came in to put in a new IV line, it took 6 different nurses and I was poked 10 times. Finally, they got one in, gave me my pain meds. I then I removed that one. They could not understand this. I told them that I had not had any food or water in almost 30 hours and that I was dehydrated, they didn't even listen or acknowledged me. By this time is was so pissed I told them I was leaving. My nurse finally came in and told me that if I left, I would be charged for my hospital stay. I told her I don't think so, I was not paying to be treated this way. I had a 5 hour throat surgery, no IV meds, pain meds or fluids and that I had oxy at home. I said you have 15 mins to get your paperwork out or I will leave without it. Came in 3 more times telling me they were working on it..BS. It took another hour and a half to get it done and I signed a AMA {Against Medical Advice}. I left and went home. They never gave me and discharge instructions etc... I also told the nurse, I was to be in a private room. She said we could have done that, we are fully staffed and there is only 13 patients here on our ward. That comment just pissed me off more. I felt a total lack of compassion and professionalism by the staff. The prior shift {Day} was excellent. Very unhappy and my wife even told me that each time she went out to the nurses station there was at least 3 or 4 sitting there talking. I have to blame this on dept. heads, with a need to control your nurses. When a patient is in pain and you are dragging your ass around not helping there is no excuse. It should be a priory period. If I ever need to go back to the Hospital, I will really need to consider this Hospital. I also never had a follow up call from the staff. The following day my surgeon PA called and said he was looking for me. He said that my chart was not updated that I left. He apologized, but it was not his doing. I will never stay without a family member either, if it wasn't for my wife I would have been stuck at their mercy. read more

If you are thinking of going here for a workers comp injury, be advised the doctors here advocate for your employer, not for you as their patient. They will do what suits your job, not what's best for you, your injury or proper healing. I made the mistake of going here, now waiting the mandatory 30 days to designate my own provider. Lesson learned. read more

The care is not up to par, and insurance will bill you as a hospital so even if you have no copay for OT, so the patient responsibility portion is much higher. I would only do this facility if you have no other option. read more

They have the worst care and the worst doctor. My appointment lasted only 5 minutes, even though I waited for over 20 minutes to be seen. Tore or pulled my hamstring ( verdict is still out) and had to go here because I did it at work :P They have done a great job so far and love their physical therapist. Dr. Santos is a hoot and its good to see a Doctor with a great sense of humor who isn't afraid to connect with his patients. read more

DO NOT go here if you have physical/occupational therapy benefits with a copay!!! They quoted me these benefits and I signed off on it and didn't question it. I paid a copay for several appointments for physical therapy for my son's tiptoe and massage therapy for my husband. Found out later that they bill insurance as an outpatient hospital and not a physical therapy office which is a completely different benefit that applies to deductible. Now we will be responsible for at least $500 more and that's only because we have a low deductible. Either they knowingly lied to us or the office ladies at the check in counter don't know how to do their job. Either is bad and they are not apologetic about it at all. We cancelled all future appointments and are now trying to decide what to do next since this is ridiculous and unethical! read more

They (the location in Palo Alto Medical Building. Dublin) told me I was covered, but I see they charge the insurance as "Outpatient" instead of "Physical Therapy Office". This explains why this place is much more expensive. Just be aware. read more

Slowest service I've seen in my life. My appointment started 30 minutes after the scheduled time, and I was stuck in the exam room waiting 20+ minutes to see a doctor. Reception was rude and unwelcoming. I had to come here for work, but I never would return if I had a choice. read more

The physical therapists here are great. I would give them 5 stars. However, several times the office has managed to mangle the scheduling of my appointments. I can't imagine how this keeps happening because I am so clear about the date and time before I hang up. This is so infuriating because it's really difficult to take time off and then drive there and then not get to see a therapist. After the first time they booked it on the wrong day, I always take special care to emphasize the date and time several times. My husband said to give them my cell number so that the next time they leave a message to change the appointment time, I'll have a record of it. Although, I doubt it'll change anything. Each time all I get is a blank stare and no apologies. But if you can manage to get someone to book an actual appointment for you at the agreed upon time, the therapists are all really good. read more

First time here. Was nervous due to the reviews. Came right when it opened at 10am. You sign in and wait for your name to be called. I waited about 10 min and registered. Waited about 5-10 before a nurse called me in to get my issues. Then sent me back to waiting room to wait for a room to open up. Was brought in a couple minutes after that. Nurse came right in, took my vitals and took a throat culture. Dr came in a few minutes after that. Everyone was super friendly from the sign in registrar to the intern and nurse. Dr Suwich was a little quirky but nice guy. All in all, it is what I would expect from a walk in clinic. I knew I had strep and needed to see a Dr to get an rx. Would come back. read more

The nurse who works here is the rudest of all healthcare professionals I've ever encountered. First of all, I brought my son here for a full body rash caused by an allergic reaction. He's 2. She was trying to take his vitals and like any 2 yr. old, he was scared and crying. Partly because she was rude, and he didn't like her, and partly because she was grabbing his hand aggressively. Then she asked "why is he crying NOW?" Fast forward two months. I come here for a broken bone. Again she is rude and this time, gives me no instructions on care, and releases me without giving me my post-appointment care instructions. This woman has go to go. read more

came to do a drug test for preemployment. got there around noon and there was only a few people ahead of me. waited about 40 minutes. then when they called my name i went and peed in a cup. no problems. the lady was nice. everything worked out. didnt find any drugs in the pee. woohoo. read more

Oh, yeah. The "muscle strain" ended up being a compressed disc and nerve impingement.

They are not very flexible, specially when it comes to patients. I came for the travel clinic and not only does it take weeks to get an appointment, they do not accept Medicare with supplement D insurance. They charge for a doctors fee, a shot giving fee, and a fee for the vaccine itself. Will go to Palo alto medical foundation instead. read more

Rude, unwelcoming, disgusted by my questions, and untrustworthy, I filled out the forms for an employment drug and physical screening. They wanted my social security number, and an enormous amount of personal health information, with no answers as to why they need it. Definitely had more employees than people working there. Needless to say, I never made it past the front desk as they seemed very untrustworthy with my personal info. read more

Injured my knee at work, Dr Jaegar was very thorough and was on my side when it came to my care, unlike my company that tried to deny the claim for workman's comp, as well as delaying an MRI for 3 months, even though Dr. Jaegar requested one. I have found the nurses vey nice and they act as if they care about their patients. read more
