My wife and I are so glad that we decided to use Energy Docs as our contractor. During the summer…read moreour AC was constantly running and struggled to keep the inside below 80 degrees. Our ducting was also beginning to tear and break apart, so we kept finding pieces of ducting in our air registers. We called several contractors and eventually decided to have Energy Docs come see our home. Mike and his crew came and did some tests to see how our home was actually performing. After the test, he gave us a report that gave incredibly detailed information. We saw how much airflow we were losing from the house itself, how much airflow we were losing through our ducting, we even saw thermal imaging of where heat was entering our house through the walls and recessed lighting. He gave us estimates as to how much the project would cost, and how much we could expect to save. We were able to use the REU Home Performance Program which returned roughly half the project cost in rebates! During the project, the entire Energy Docs crew was nothing less than excellent. They started our project in early August, and spent the next two weeks baking in our attic. They would work until it was too hot to handle the materials anymore. With these conditions, they were still friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. They finished the project on time, and even slightly under budget. When they were done, they cleaned up after themselves and even did some repair work that made the house look even better. Two weeks after the project has been finished, it is a night and day difference in our home. There are no more temperature differences in the various rooms. Our house sits at a comfortable 75 degrees. My wife and I have been so relieved that the project went according to play and there were no horror stories. He told the worker that the difference between he and his worker was his worker had a heart and he didn't. He comes off as a good guy, he is not and can't be trusted. To show how low life this guy who owns this business was my wife was on hospice and he knew it and screwed us anyway. The guy is the lowest of life one can get to do any job. If you want to be screwed and deceived, hire this guy, the worst type of human being one could hire. I have used ServPro twice now. Both with top-notch results…read more The first time was for a rental property in which my tenant found mold. Servpro was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. Servpro was responsible for removal of the tainted wood, sanitizing the non-porous surfaces, and using industrial HEPA air filtration to clean the air in the home to remove any spores. Then they tested again to make sure the removal did not leave behind an unsafe level of spores. They began work immediately after testing to confirm the mold, then did the work quickly so our contractor could get in and replace the cabinetry. The second time was our residence which was nearly torched by wildfire. The whole house was inundated with smoke and ash in the attic. Servpro removed nearly all of the items in the house for cleaning, including bedding. They thoroughly cleaned the carpets, walls, ceilings--everything. I had to stay in a hotel for a few weeks to work due to the noise, but that was expected. They removed all of the tainted insulation in the attic and cleaned out the ash and dust. They even arranged an HVAC duct cleaning. One good part of the experience was the cost--all covered by insurance. The best part though, was the people. The office staff were great, and quick to respond with answers to my questions. The project manager on both of my jobs was Steve, who kept me informed every step of the way. And then the guys at my residence during the time I was there were amazing. Chris, Aaron, and Morgan were all really personable and hard working. They arrived early in the morning to work as much as they could before the attic became an oven during Redding's punishing summer heat. I can't imagine that's a cakewalk when they were wearing head to toe protective gear. They worked longer into the day than I thought was possible. Servpro cannot possibly pay these guys enough. Although I hope I never need to use them again, if something happens to my home or rental I know Servpro cannot possibly be counted on.
