This is an unfortunate review. I was contacted by Matthew on a Sunday morning who responded with a fair price and asked some good questions. I responded on, sent pictures of the job site, and asked a couple of follow on questions. No response. I waited 3 hours in case he was on a job and asked for status, I got a very curt "I am spending Sunday with my family" response. I explained through my teeth that you always explain the status to a customer, and don't go dark on them. And when you do respond don't be rude. No apologies, in fact I was told that this was an appropriate response to my bothering him. WTH? Who contacted who on a Sunday? read more

I had 3 recessed lights replaced with bulbs that were supposed to last a lifetime. The first one went out after 12 months and it took me 6 months to have it replaced. The second one went out 6 months after that and another 3 months to have it replaced. Mathew did replace the switch for he thought that could be causing the issue. The third light just went out 3 weeks ago and so far I have not heard anything from Mathew. read more

*Showed up late (8:30 instead of 7-8am window given. *Almost as soon as he arrived, Matthew told me that he needed to go back to the shop for more parts that he thought he had. Matthew then sat in his truck on his phone for 20 mins before leaving. *First power tool / work started at 10:30am *He then left at 2:45 to pick up his kid, brought his kid back with him at 4:30pm to finish the job. He said he also had to stop at Napa for some parts for his truck. *Wasn't here for when the PUD guys returned to turn the power back on... but asked me (in his absence) to remind them of some stuff he did. *Actually asked me if I wanted him to clean up the giant mess he made of drywall dust and stripped wires before he left. *Left at 7:45pm *Didn't even finish putting up the drywall he took down and left the insulation on the floor. He said I could just run some screws in and use as much of the remaining insulation as I'd need. Completely unprofessional experience. read more

Matt was super helpful in helping us decide what to upgrade for lighting in certain rooms, and coming up with the best plan to deal with hard to access lighting. The schedule for installing everything got sidetracked with COVID-19 but we eventually got it done! During installation, Matt even suggested different lighting that ended up saving us some $ from what we had originally planned, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Definitely recommend for any home lighting updating, replacements, or new fixture installs! read more

We had our water heater fail one morning and called Matthew at Stanley Enterprises and he came over later that morning. He diagnosed the problem: incorrect connection of legacy aluminum wiring to copper wiring in the new unit. Since our house is from the 70's, we decided to have him go over everything and replace outlets, switches, and upgrade the electrical panel. He also installed updated light fixtures, replaced the aluminum wiring to the water heater with copper wiring and he installed an outside outlet for charging our RV. All the work was top quality, the price was reasonable, and we will be going back to Stanley Enterprises for any future electrical needs. Five Stars! read more

We are extremely happy that we chose Stanley Enterprises to install several recessed lights in our living room and an outdoor ceiling fan in our backyard patio. Matthew was very professional, easy to communicate with, and able to complete the work efficiently and beautifully. The finished products exceeded our expectations and at a price-point that my husband and I were comfortable with. He even followed-up after the installation to confirm that an inspector from the city would be coming out. Dryer stopped working, turned out the fuse box from 1967 needed to be replaced. Matt rearranged his schedule to get this done right away as it was a fire hazard. I called on 3/4/20 and asked how much they charge for a cable outlet install. When the price was agreeable I booked an appointment for 3/9/20 at 11:00. I was asked over the phone to text my address and info to their main number, so I did. I never heard anything back. Monday 3/9/20 came and nobody ever showed up at the appointment time. No call. Absolutely nothing. I attempted to call them but nobody answered. Poor customer service and communication. What a waste of my time. If I'd have known they weren't going to show, I would've hired somebody else from the start! read more

They had my job completed in less than a half n hour. The only problem I didn't realize he was charging me for a emergency call. Because of my disabled husband the simple job had to be completed in the same day I called Home Advisory and the sent me Stanley Electric. Before he came out it would of been nice to let me know it was going to be extra money because "he was leaving a bigger job than mine ". $270.00 was excessive. I definitely would of said no and found someone else. They need to communicate to customers when they are charging extra. Oh by the way I was told if I don't get my ground wire fixed my house could burn down . For that much money I thought that is what he was dong FIXING IT. Lesson learned ask price first. read more

Review of Stanley Enterprises (electrical contractor), Matthew Stanley. (Nov. 28, 2016) Stanley Enterprises is endorsed by the "Home Adviser". (As Jack Webb would say, give me the facts, nothing but the facts) We where given an estimate to install three (3) wall heaters, and one (1) bathroom heater/exhaust fan, and switch. ($500 for labor only, I had already purchased the heaters) Matthew Stanley was paid prior to starting the work. The wall heaters where direct replacements of existing heaters. Installing the wall heaters involves removing a few screws, removing the old heater and a few screws for the new heater, and connecting to existing wiring. Matthew Stanley installed the wall heaters, starting work at approximately 1:10pm and by approximately 3:30pm the wall heaters had been installed. We where then told we would have to get a contractor to set the bathroom heater, and install duct work. Matthew Stanley would then come back and wire the heater and switch, but that would cost more money. ($$$$) (The wall heaters where only about 20% of the work) By the time I'm done I'll have over $2000 invested, just about double what a real contractor would have cost. If I could do this over I would not let this contractor in my home. The Home Adviser was no help with solving my problem, and they still endorse this contractor. read more
