After 100+ degree day, we woke up to no cool air. Called the office when they opened at 7:30 AM. Scheduled us in and Gonzalo was at our house by 10:30. He was very pleasant and apologized as he had gone to the wrong house. Fixed our problem as it was a dual capacitor and not too expensive. I had Total Energy do some kitchen wiring when I remodeled. I have 2 circuits that pop the circuit breakers. They are aware but unresponsive. Lousy business ethic if you ask me. You would think this company would have a warranty. Apparently they don't. Now I will have to get someone to replace the two breakers. They probably didn't use new ones. TOTAL ENERGY MANAGEMENT TEAM WINS AGAIN! Our issue was two-fold in that 1) Our heat wasn't turning on and it was 39 degrees outside and 2) We had something come up in our hvac home inspection prior to sale that needed attention. Oh boy! Riley was so so so super understanding in that I, the wife, didn't know much about hvac and whether or not it was heating or just the fan running. She communicated professionally with both myself and my husband in order to get the proper information she needed to proceed with how to best take care of us and our family. She gave us thorough information about pricing and possibility of overtime, as she was transparent about everything. From the powers that be and use of her magic wand, she was able to get someone quickly to see us without need for overtime charges. Sean came promptly during the time slot mentioned, listened to our concerns and also read through the home inspection info. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and address the points on the inspection report. His detailed write up was expansive and showingly no-stone-left-unturned in his trained hvac inspection. We are very pleased to have Total Energy Management on a biannual maintenance program. This program saves considerable money when they make diagnostic calls and the routine maintenance will increase our home's resale value. I am a Haden home owner. Total energy was the electrical contractor who installed all the electrical. I am currently changing out my light in the guest restroom. When I pulled the original light off the wall, I was shocked and angry Total Energy Management did not install a junction box to properly support the light and enclose the electrical wires. A junction box holds the wires in an electrically safe box so that if there is a spark or an arc it is contained to prevent fires.!! I know this because I have an electrical background! Second issue. They cut the jacket on the cable and ran another cable through it to coil up the wire. Another no no. I am not completely mad at them, after all The L&I inspector should of caught it if he was doing he/she were doing their job. read more

I had Total Energy Management install a brand new HVAC system this summer, and the installation was a joke! I spent 10 thousand dollars, and you would not believe the install! See pictures. They did come back and make it right, but when you install like they originally did, no way, I'm giving them ONE star on the review only because their salesman, Arlen, made sure I was taken care of. I can't say anything negative about him, he did his job, and he did it good, but the install team? My brother inlaw had the exact same situation, lousy install, in fact, they walked away after the install without putting in the air filter ! He didn't know for a month! I had a heat pump installed about 20 years ago. I shopped around, got bids from several companies. I was highly impressed with the information and time that they gave me. Their price was below some other companies as well. A few years ago we were having issues with the system. I called Total Energy thinking I was going to have to have a new system installed. They came out and checked the system and it turned out that they could repair it by only having to replace the outside unit. This saved us several thousand dollars. I still purchase our filters through them due to the convince and knowing they are always stocked there. I appreciate the honesty of this company and the knowledge of all the employees I have had the pleasure of dealing with. read more

This company is great! After doing much research and shopping around, I finally decided to use Total Energy Management. They installed a new heat pump and furnace, they also coordinated duct cleaning (never been done in my 1978 build house, it was gross!), sealed my ducts/vents (they found a 4" gaping hole in one duct). I immediately noticed a huge difference in my heating/cooling bill, it was reduced by over $100 per month. This was the case month after month. They also helped me recieve almost $2,000 in PUD and manufacturer rebates - this helped a lot! It's been 2 years ago now, since the installed the system and they have been the servicing the system each year since. The service is excellent every time! Great company with fair prices. read more

TEM is great to work with... they did the electrical and HVAC on our new home. We did have several issues throughout, but it was easy to get a hold of someone and get the problem resolve in a timely manner. we had a tech come out to look at our AC unit at our shelter (I work for a non profit) and he totally tried to scam us, said that we needed over 3LB of coolant at $100/LB then tried to sell me on a whole new system. My boss had All Phase Heating and Cooling come out same day, they found that we needed only 1.5 LB of coolant and charged us $55/LB and said that our unit not only doesn't need replacing but that the sealant they put in will hold us over for several years! Don't use TEM. Paid over $8000 for a new heat pump system. They hacked the three framed sides of the utility room enclosure with a sawsall to force the larger HVAC unit into the space. That begs the question whether there is sufficient clearance in the cavity as per manufacturer recommendation and fire code. The sides of the opening are now butchered, exposed two by four and the destroyed edges of sheet rock. The overhead framing of the opening is open cavity's of the wall and the end of exposed vertical wood framing. When the crawl space of the home was professionally inspected later it was discovered that the flexible ducting was mauled into an indescribable mess and plastered to the rigid duct protruding thru the floor of the home from the HVAC unit above in the utility room. Total Energy Management solicited me to service the system. Boy would that be a stupid decision on my part. read more
