I asked for a quote when the Stanley crew was doing my neighbors drive. Just based on the quality of work they seemed to be doing at my neighbors place, well, it was good work. I got a quote at noon and that afternoon they moved over, started on my driveway and had it done and cleaned up by 6pm. It was a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Negative reviews are a means to lash out, usually due to an unrealistic expectation. I rarely write a good review and should have when Stanley did my driveway several years ago. I just called them for a seal coat, mentioning that I was flexible and was happy with waiting till there were more jobs in my area. This is a family business with a good reputation. More satisfied customers should write when they are happy with the results, as I was and am. read more

We were so impressed with our driveway , we wanted to widen it and add a parking area. We called Art and his crew showed up and masterfully did what we wanted. I called Stanley Paving for a driveway estimate and Arthur gave me a verbal quote of $5500 on Feb. 8, 2023. I asked him to stop by to discuss and put it in writing. Art (his son) and Arthur came by on Feb. 20, 2023 and did the bait and switch routine. Nothing in writing, just fast talking! The cost went to $6750 because of additional stone and winter asphalt surcharges. This should have been included in the original price since the job was the same. Art even wanted to charge an extra $200 to remove the aged 4x4 wood border and leave them at the street. They should have honored their quote with no BS. Beware! read more

Most of the seal coating was done well. However the significant crack across the driveway were not completely filled, despite my pointing this out as the seal coating was being started and again when finished. The polite crew said they went over it 5 times, I watched the work and I would say 3 times at most. Also discussed this issue about the crack across the driveway not being filled 100% on the phone the next day. Was given a bit of a lecture about hot rubber filling in cracks, that's fine I guess. My request for a revisit and another attempt about finishing the crack filling 100% was not fufilled. Just another lesson I suppose for this veteran trying to get by on social security for the most part. Will of course, not recommend to any of my neighbors seeking this kind of work. read more

Response for quote -5 star. Response to start job- 5 star. My yard is fairly nice, workers just tossed tools on grass without care. Final cleanup -2 stars, it took me hours to get stones and asphalt from the grass. The 5-6 man crew should have done this instead if being in a hurry to call it a day. I blame this on ownership. Called Art JR with concerns about the finished product (some areas smooth and other areas barely looked like they were rolled:tamped. Instead of driving 5-7 minutes from his shop to my property-- His response was- ITS A DRIVEWAY, JUST USE IT. ITS NOT A KITCHEN FLOOR. CALL ANY ASPHALT COMPANY AND THEY WILL TELL YOU THE SAME THING. I do not recommend Stanley Paving due to very poor quality workmanship and a complete disregard to customer concerns. Once they are paid they no longer care about anything. Husband called to have someone come out and give an estimate to repave our driveway. Asked where we were and just gave a flat price of $6000. LOL! Gentleman said our house was a "typical Levittown house", which it is not but he would have found that out if he bothered to come in person. He didn't know what we wanted done so how can he just throw out a number? I guess taking the time to check out a potential client was an inconvenience for him. When my wife and I bought this house there was no driveway. We received a bid from Art Stanley and a competito, the competitor was less so we went with him - HUGE MISTAKE! Our new driveway sank in and chunks broke off along the sides of the pavement. After several years of frustration we brought Art and his crew in to repair, enlarge and repave our driveway. It looked great however still skeptical we patiently waited - after a full year, no issues! Drainage was correct, no cracks, no settling! Today we had their team back to apply the first application of Sealcoat. I'm in awe of how meticulous they were, I expected in and out service and got a dedicated team who paid attention to every square inch of the pavement. Our driveway is 143 feet long and borders over 50 feet of concrete and another 20 feet of my house, they took care with all of those edges. In a time of COVID excuses Art Stanley stepped up and delivered his promise within a week of my request.
