Worst customer service EVER. I came in today because I received a call stating that my contacts were ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I told the person up front that I was picking up an order. He directed me towards the corner where you pick up your glasses orders. I thought it was odd, but I brushed it off thinking that I could pick up both at the same spot. They told me to sign in and then they went to go check for my order. I told them I was pick up contacts and they told me that I was in the wrong spot. So I thought "okay... would've been nice if the guy up front asked if I was picking up glasses or contacts before assuming and sending me to the wrong spot." Whatever. So, they directed me towards the office where I needed to pick up my glasses and told me to sign in once again. I thought that this was kind of weird too because it was a normal sign-in sheet for appointments. There was no one working the reception desk there so I sat there for about 15 minutes waiting and thinking about how ridiculous it was for me to to have to wait in the same queue normal appointments were to pick up an order they said that was done. There was one exceptionally rude lady working named "Cindy" who I saw walking around intermittently. She would walk up to the desk, check the clipboard, call someone's name, and walk off. I didn't even get a moment to say anything to her in that short amount of time. There were others there that were complaining to her and she would just brush them off and say "okay, thank you" and just walk off. It took me 30+ minutes to pick up my contacts. What is the point of calling me and telling me that they're done if I have to still wait there like I'm there for an eye exam? It literally took them about 2 minutes to hand me my contacts and have me sign one form. Completely absurd way of handling customer service. They need to hire way more people to be working in the doctor's office than the front of house. Or better yet, hire some competent workers that have customer service experience! read more

I was told my glasses would be done in 24 hrs. It took almost 3 weeks. The call center was completely useless. Called multiple times, spent at least an hour on hold in total. Was given no helpful information. Finally went into the store to inquire, was told it would be another couple of days (apparently that translates to over a week). After getting fed up I called one more time and was told they were ready. Didn't receive a call that they were ready until 5 hours after I picked them up. read more

Lady Overcharged me and my wife... Couldn't explain anything that they was selling, and never explained add ons to my wife glasses. Charged my wife for add ons that was never asked for. Called corporate office and asked for a refund and cancel the glasses, and they did nothing to help us. Called the Manager and he insinuated that we didn't have to money in our budget to pay for it!!! (Very Unprofessional Leadership) If you visit this place just take a look at the condition of the carpet in the place and do what I should have done and turn around!!! read more

Ordered new lenes for my glass. Was told it would be two weeks. Glasses came in and the goofed up the lens part. They reordered the lens and said it would be another two weeks but they woould put a rush on it because it was their fault. Delivery date was to be the 12th. It is now the 10th and I got an update saying it would now be the 19th. That will mean FIVE yes FIVE weeks for delivery. Terrible company. Go elsewhere for glasses folks. read more

Came in for the Free* Eye Exam promotion for my S/O. I bought a Groupon for a $150 voucher off the glasses a couple hours in advance. The main area was okay until you rounded the corner to the optometrist. The carpet there was pretty bad, and the entire eye exam waiting room was in need of major CLEANING, a paint job, and maybe a few new chair covers. We had an appointment for 10:00 and were not examined until 11:15, meanwhile we were instructed to mull about and select frames. At about 10:50, having found frames for my picky boyfriend twenty minutes ago, I considered leaving and heading to my optometrist at the Palmera Mall. We were seen by the optometrist on duty, who wasn't exactly unfriendly, but seemed very busy, and who didn't bother to check my boyfriend's up-close vision. Afterwards, we upgraded ourselves and asked to add on the transition lenses. All went well until they handed us our receipts folded up with pamphlets and my boyfriend noticed that they "forgot" to print out his prescription for us. Maybe they were just busy? One week later, we went to pick up the lenses and re-choose the frames, and because the place was dead (2:00 PM), we got phenomenal service. This time, we were helped by the coolest associate whose name escapes me, but her name tag read "Frame Specialist". She was a total pro, and extremely helpful in getting my boyfriend to decide on some glasses he could live with. She even said there was no extra charge for the difference in the frame price (~$50) from what we previously selected and paid for, so that was really nice of them. Without her, I'd have to give them a flat two stars, but she easily made it a 3.5. read more

This is the worst place EVER! Can you give negative stars? Negative 5 stars: Customer service is terrible. They didn't call when my girlfriends glasses were ready! Negative 5 stars: Workmanship is terrible as well. They wouldn't give a full refund for my girlfriends sunglasses that they couldn't tint. If they knew what they were doing they should have know that her lenses wouldn't tint, and if they didn't they still should have refunded her. Why do you have to pay for something that you didn't want? If you order a blue car and get a red car, should you have to pay for it? Great experience today! Had an eye exam by Dr. Matthews, who was friendly and efficient. The staff at the office was really patient, and I was very pleased by the customer service, especially from Manette. He helped me find some cool frames and answered all my questions about this deal vs that deal. He didn't seem at all bothered about having to wait on me (for quite a while!!!) until I made up my mind about what to get. Since my prescription is super high, I have to wait a while to get my glasses (10 business days or so), but I'm quite optimistic that what I got will be worth the it. Yay! I'm excited! Like many others have said, the wait times are extraordinary. You are going to wait forever.... but that's not my problem with this place. Keep reading. I ordered two pairs of glasses. It took 14 days for them to come in and no one ever called me to tell me they were ready. I had to badger them every day for a few days. Glasses A were WAY off. I had to argue, but finally they admitted that they made the lenses upside down and backward. Glasses B were also off in the left eye. I kept arguing, but they stood their ground, telling me it was an adjustment period and I needed to give my eyes time. They took the glasses in the back, came back and said.... quote..."The prescription on these is perfect." After a few days of blurry left eye, I took the glasses to my eye doctor (not Stanton) in ten seconds he comes in and tells me the axis on the left eye is "ridiculously off". So the glasses go back to Stanton to be remade.... again. They are now 0-2. Glasses A were ready when I got there.... but they were ALSO THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION AGAIN!!!! Another 14 days have passed. No calls. I call in and the automated system has no record of my order...WTH. So I wait to speak with someone in the store. Me: "I'm just calling to check if my glasses are available for pickup." The guy: "All are techs are busy, let me put a note on your account to have someone call you back in the next ten to fifteen minutes." Me: If you are looking at my account, can't you tell me if the order has arrived? It's a yes or no question. The Guy: Someone will have to call you back to tell you that. Me: are you currently in the local store? The Guy: Yes sir Me: Then the glasses orders are a few feet away from you. Can't you just tell me if they are in the store with you? The Guy: Someone will call you back in 15 minutes He then HANGS UP ON ME. Three hours later, no one has called back Terrible customer service. Terrible craftsmanship. It's been over a month and I am hundreds of dollars in the hole and have no glasses to show for it. Never again. read more

I've had my glasses less than a year, paid extra for the anti-scratch coating, have already paid to have one lense replaced and now they both have a scratch on them. Stay away from this store. Why..I am a disabled vet in a wheelchair and I had a screw come out on my glasses. I tried fixing it myself but just couldn't get it done. I went to stanton opticle with my glasses and asked if they would fix my glasses with a new screw. They told me no that they can not help me because I didn't purchase my glasses there. I could not believe what I just heard...I was refused service because I didn't purchase them there. Big deal it was just a screw, nothing broke all I needed was a steady hand from a professional optical clinic. I guess this store does not help vets. I was not asking for much of there time. So I left and went to another optical store and they fixed it in seconds, told them what happened with stanton opticle, they were shocked as well..so if you need a professional eye wear store, don't go to this store..Stanton opticle...sad thing. read more

Two stars is generous. I haven't even had my glasses for a year and the coating is coming off, looks like I have bubbles in my lenses. I feel like my old glasses that I got somewhere else were a more accurate prescription as I'm getting head aches more frequently now. These people will try and hustle you as I went in and was quoted $500 something as my total, I thought was quite high so I bargained with her and she wouldn't budge. But when I threatened to leave and I was definitely going to she gave her "manager discount" or something like that and got my total down to around $250. So if for some reason you ignore these reviews and go anyway don't be afraid to bargain with them because they will try to get as much money as possible. I'm having to get new glasses already because the ones I have are so bad and I'm paying out of pocket so it's inconvenient that these ones lasted such little time. read more

Wanted to leave a review because it seems they don't get enough good ones! A coworker recommended this office. My appt was for tomorrow, however I stopped by today just to see if they could squeeze me in and they did! To be honest, the actual exam wasn't all that great--pretty standard, nothing special, however I found it quite amusing how uninterested in his job the doctor on-duty was Totally rolling through the motions, seemed a little bored haha. Didn't bother me, but it might bother some others. Just an observation BUT what I actually wanted to point out was Sarina's customer service. She greeted me at the door when I first walked in and also helped me when I went to go choose my glasses and contact lenses! She literally walked around with me for like EVER choosing my frames, went through costs and explained everything VERY well. She seemed genuine and really went above and beyond. I really wish I would have read the reviews prior to scheduling my daughter an appointment. I took her in on Saturday November 2 to get an eye exam. She picked out two pair of glasses and we were told they would be ready in about an hour. We left and about 15 mins later received a call from Stanton that the glasses would not be ready in an hour, but would end up taking a week. We were told they would be here by Friday/Saturday (Nov 8/9). I called today and was told that one pair was ready...yay! I got off work early, picked up my daughter and drove to Stanton. When we got there I was told that the glasses are nowhere to be found and I should call back tomorrow to talk to the woman who told me the glasses were ready. On top of that disappointing news, I was told that the second pair wouldn't even be in until around November 16. How does a business operate like this?? You would think that with all these horrific reviews, they would make some substantial changes but they ignore it and continue to run the same shitty business, constantly disappointing customers. I will NEVER be back and will tell everyone I know what an awful experience we had. I can only hope and pray that her glasses will be in soon. read more

I purchased glasses back in May, 2 pairs one for sunglasses and one for regular glasses. I have had nothing but issues with my sunglasses and I went in there about about 4 or 5 in this month and half that I had my glasses. Then in the past 2 or 3 weeks, my glasses were not allowing me to see up close so I would have to take off my glasses. My glasses are not bifocals. On June 27th, I finally got a chance to go back to Corpus Christi so I could return my glasses. At first the manager did not want to give me my money back. He wanted to let me go to any other eye place, I pay for the eye exam and then they would reimburse me and then redo my glasses for free. I am sorry if you screw up once, why would I want to give you the chance of screwing up again. After getting a little ugly with the manager I told him that I just wanted my money back and I would just go somewhere else. Please if you were in my shoes would you have done the same thing? The "free" eye exam is so false. You pay for the eye exam and then you discounted off of the glasses. The exam is $45, but their buy 2 pair for $69 is an absolute joke. There is only a few pair of glasses in that "price" range and the worst part they are not in style glasses. When I got my eyes checked, I did have an appointment and still waited almost 2 hours after our appointment time to see the doctor. The staff of the doctor's office is so rude. read more

Let me start by listing the one and only pro: Catalina provides excellent customer service. Don't waste your time with an appointment, you will likely be waiting upwards of an hour to get a super quick check on dirty equipment. This place does not clean the equipment between clients ( when they over scheduled and could barely keep up with the customers). I know this, because I sat so long waiting and I was watching. Maybe the staff usually does clean the equipment but they did not when I was there. The doctor admitted that he was very distracted from being so busy so he wrote the wrong information on the prescription. Dr. Rushed eye exam and did not remember to right the correct results from his eye exam but was going to still charge for bifocals without even writing the correct measurement. Assistant who selected contacts did not provide a starter kit (case and solution, thr comtacts were provided) and walked out without demonstrating how to use and take care of contact lenses. Also, the "free eye exam and 2 free frames" promotion is a joke! How does a free eye exam turn into being billed $99 and then, get denied 2 pair of glasses because you want contacts as well (we would have paid the full price). The restroom was super dirty with no place to change a diaper, no table or counter. And no sane person would put a child on a restroom floor. The total visit lasted about 4 hours, and that was with the appointment and showing up 20 minutes early. Also, with such a long wait, staff should provide bottled water to customers and if nothing else, STANTON OPTICAL PLEASE START USING LYSOL WIPES AND SPRAY!! read more

The worst experience I've ever had at an optometrist. I've been wearing contacts and glasses for the past 15 years and was so shocked at the way they do business. I made an appointment and when I showed up they made me wait for over two hours to be seen. When I was finally seen the optometrist rushed the appointment and spoke very fast and was extremely rude to me for not being able to read the bottom line on the chart. He used foul language with me and I should have just walked out. This is a bargain basement facility. Do not waste your time or money here. I scheduled my appointment for December 28, 2015 for the buy 2 glasses for $69 get a free eye exam. I went in and the customer service was helpful and very courteous. I walked around and picked out my 2 pairs of glasses while I waited for my appointment, need to say my appointment was scheduled at 1 and there were a lot of walk ins waiting and it took about an hour and a half to be seen. They said they would call me for my appointment while I was choosing my frames. One of the guys working there asked if I needed any help and I told him I was already been helped but I'm waiting for my appointment and I told him how long I have been waiting since he asked. He told me to go check and they told me they could see me. No one let me know I was ready to be seen. The doctor was pretty rude. After almost being done with my Frame order since they said they didn't have them in store and that they would have to be ordered, the lady helping me didn't apply the deduction for the free eye exam. She had to ask because she said her supervisor wasn't honoring the 2 for $69 at one point. She said lucky for me they will even though the sign is posted every where. She said the glasses would take at least 10-12 days to come in. I called 2 weeks after to check on status and talked to the manager about it and he said one of the frames were returned and asked if I changed my mind on something and I told him no. He checked on what happened and he said the lady put that one of the frames were put in store on the order and wasn't ever ordered. And then he said someone caught it the day before and expressed delivered it and the other pair should be in very soon since it's been about 2 weeks and that they get shipment every day. I called 3 days ago and the lady said the glasses weren't in and I asked how long does it usually take and she normally a week. It has been almost 4 weeks since I have ordered them. I really need the glasses to drive and see. Very disappointed on this. I am going to go by tomorrow and check on the status and will let you know what the outcome as well. read more

Do not go to this place! It's dirty, they don't clean their equipment, it smells musty. They took me to the back for the pre-exam and didn't clean the equipment before or after me. After my exam, I was taken to the next room to try on a trial pair of contacts. I was given one to try. She asked me if I wanted to try a different color as well, I said sure. I removed the one that I didn't want from my eye. I then asked for the other color that matched the one I was already wearing. She said that they were low on stock and couldn't provide me with the other lens. Can you believe that! I thought that each exam came with a pair of trial lenses? She said they weren't prescribed anyway. That is irrelevant! If if I'm going to order and pay for these lenses , I'm going to need more time than 2 minutes in a filthy little room to know if these lenses are going to be a good fit for me. This being that each brand is made different and wasn't sure if they were going to be comfortable to wear. She wanted me to make that determination based on one contact in one eye for a duration of 2 minutes. I've never heard of such a thing! I asked for my script and had to return half an hour later to let them know that they gave me the wrong script! read more

21jun17 manager had to have glasses remade for the third time. Bifocles were wrong. Finally next day it was right. Now hubby got his glasses today and he cannot see out of the right at all it's blurry. This place, eye dr okundaye needs to have his credentials checked. He does not know what he is doing. They lied about the pricing over the phone, as well as the services they offer when we booked the appointment. Suddenly, once I was there, the prices were higher and they weren't even capable of taking care of my issue. Wasted a trip. Edited to add: I like how they're lying even now in their reply. We spoke to several different associates while booking my appointment, because I had to reschedule a couple of times due to a family emergency. Each and every time, we were told the same lies. Call me back when you say you will. When you tell me "2 weeks," mean it. I walked in on 5-20-2020 to buy contacts like I do every 3-6 months from here. I was told by the lady in front that I needed to purchase a new exam which was around 90.00$ plus the contact supply. I advised to the lady that I had already had a prescription done within the year and she told me it was due already and went ahead and made an appointment the next day early morning. I came in today 5-21-2020 and Emily was in the eye exam room in front. I asked her when my prescription was up and she said that I would need to purchase a new eye exam because it had been expired. Her words " it expires a day before" . My yearly prescription was 5-22-2020 and today is 5-21-2020. Mind you I came in on 5-20-2020 and was told it was expired. Emily told me if I wanted to take it up with a manager because she can't do anything about it. Went to see the manger in front and she gave me a dirty look saying she was busy with a customer and brushed me off. So I just went back and was willing to do the exam so I can just leave. Another lady came in whose name is Maranda and she took me in the room where I was advised that my prescription was still good and that I could purchase contacts without an exam. I want to COMMEND Maranda for not just trying to sell me an exam that I did not need. With all this COVID-19 going on I had to wait months to get these contacts and she made it so easy for me. I did purchase a 250 supply of contacts .I want to add Emily had poor attitude and even interrupted Maranda and told her that my card did not go through in front of people when indeed it did. I appreciate people like Maranda and I believe she is a great worker with a great Attitude. I did not appreciate being told that my prescription was up when it clearly was not. Other than that service was good on one side. Contacts are a one year and glass's a two year do not let anyone sell you something you do not need especially in this time. read more

People who work there are very friendly, that's the good. Everything in there is filthy. The lab coats the people wire need to be washed. They were dingy. Huge stains on the floor in Dr room and in lobby. It was just gross. Dust build up on eye machines. Then it feels like high pressure sales. The glasses the offer buy one get one free and few and very out dated, it's like a bait and switch. I would recommend somewhere else if you have the means. read more

Horrible service. 10 am appointment now 11 am just getting in. Their 15 minute thing is a crock. If you get the 2 for 69 it takes 2 weeks for them to come back not 15 minutes. The doctor that seen me did not speak two words to me. I paid extra to get them in 15 minutes after I pay I get one of our edgers are down it will take up to a week I'll call you. I have broken glasses which is why I chose them. I have been wearing glasses for over 30 years and this by far is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Will never use them again. If I do not hear from them I will dispute the charge. read more
