I enjoyed my visit at Stanton optical. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything. They do have a lot budget friendly glasses, but that includes the basic necessities as it pertains to frames, but the lens will be extra. I got what I wanted, but it was the most I have ever paid for 2 pair of glasses only because I added certain things.(reason for 4 not 5 stars) The doctor not being there was different, but that did not bother me at all. Overall, The questions I had were answered, and I was satisfied. I also want to add that the lady who assisted worked very hard to get me near my budget. Very annoyed - you tell me if you would be annoyed So my daughter uses her money to get contact she puts them on in store and says the right eye is blurry but the left is great at this point would you not investigate further as the worker to maybe look at her chart see she has a stigmatism and test her right eye again before righting a prescription if the one eye is blurry and it is NOT just getting used to contacts if the left is perfect .. no she said says " blurry is normal" never tells us give it two weeks on your trial pair in fact no time frame was suggested on when this blurry should subside .....and dont open the box!!!! Or you will piss your money away because we WILL NOT exchange or even take back what's left on discount (hey use them for wasting time checking contact vision ) ..... my husband suggest maybe try your fresh new one after a week of blurry to see if it was the contact itself nope was the same issue. How were we to know we had no instruction. - Just oh you got them in oh good pay us yep blurry normal - I'm not debating an open box full return but if someone is new to contacts would you not tell them that - after we were told burry is " normal " NO...then it's not normal it's a test run. How would a person new to contact know it's a test run and for how long ....When before they left the store they let you know it's blurry in the right eye !!! Oh but get this another worker there when we returned after. Week of blurry says she has a stigmatism on her chart she needs this contact they try it and perfect in store no blurry no issue . Ok then of course now I owe money for their ball drop instead of 125 that was wasted it's 80 something because of the same promotion that was still in play ( 6 months worth) Wait didn't I ask if the 125 last time was for the contact and exam and she said no the exam was free that's just contacts but now these contacts that are 10 dollars more for 6 months but at check out today are now 80 something at check out with the same promotion. Didn't have a eye exam just a black spoon to cover 1 eye. Something don't add up clearly . You guys should be ashamed of yourself. Last Friday I called Stanton Optical to see if they did a peripheral test and depth of field test. I made sure to tell them it was for a job I was applying for and I was told that it was part of their $45 eye exam and after they assured me I could get a print out of my results if I passed I went in. After two hours I was finally done and the only thing they handed me was my prescription. The entire time I was there the sales people were pushing for me to buy glasses even though I assured them I did not need it. Even after my prescription was printed out they kept being pushy. It was definitely worse than dealing with a car salesman. The moment they swiped my credit card I no longer mattered to them. On Friday I was told I would have to wait until Monday to get something saying I passed. After two phone calls on Monday I'm told I will be emailed it by the end of the day. On Tuesday I called again and was told to come in for my paper. I finally get a doctor signed paper saying I passed but it said it was just a basic test and should not be used for occupational purposes... figures. If only I told them that was what I needed it for. Oh wait, I did. There is no chance that I would suggest anyone use this company. I can see now why they have had to deal with lawsuits in the past. I would not recommend Stanton. This company is a rip off. They say the have a 30 day money back guarantee. This is not true. On the box of glasses the day they were box to the date I tried to get them to corrected was less than 30 days. They said I needed a new doctor appointment. They do this to make the 30 days expire. I would not send my cat to get glasses here. Horrible Horrible company. Who goes to get bifocals to have to take the glasses you just purchased off to put reading glasses on to read something. Then the girl says they don't have to get you to see clear just 20/20 vision. I guess that's what you get when you don't even have an appointment with a doctor in person. Just stay clear of doing business with people who do not help to to see clearly. read more

I went to Stanton today for the first time and had a very pleasant appointment. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and was shown where to go. They quickly got us checked in and let us fill out paperwork. We only waited for about 10 minutes. The lady who did the eye exam was very sweet and explained everything. They seemed a little short staffed, so she was running around quite often. It didn't bother me though. The remote doctor was very sweet and explained everything she was doing as well. They had a large variety of glasses to pick from. The sales manager did try to get us to buy more glasses, but was not pushy when we said no thank you. I will definitely go back again. read more

I went to get my glasses today and i couldn't see out of them everything was blurry...So the man that was helping me caught a attitude with me cause i can't see out of them. Then went to the manger and told her in front of me that he didn't know what was the problem and i wanted a refund cause i said he had a attitude. I absolutely HATE this place. Today was the first time and LAST time I come here. Thought it would be quick, but instead, I waited 2 and a half hours. I came to get a contact eye exam. I asked several times while waiting when it would be done and they couldn't give me an answer. So I finally had enough and asked if they could send it to me and the lady said "well it'll only be about 45 more minutes" ONLY!? Oh and the bathroom was locked the whole time. read more

Omfg, I hate this place! First, I was never contacted my glasses were in and it was way past the promised date. Automatically deserve my money back according to their own policy. Second, they flat out lied and deceived me. I specifically asked if they take MY benefits and she assured me they do. I kept questioning as it did not look my benefit package. She even went to the length of getting some fake paper telling me that's what my benefits are. I went home and printed off my real benefits and confronted them. After several times they finally admitted they only have a "contract" with the carrier and they do not or will not give me my benefits!!! They refused to give me my money back. My spouse and coworkers who have the same benefits got better glasses for much less. I'm talking 3/4ths less not just a few bucks. I work for a place with 62,000 employees across LA and I will certainly notify every single one of them not to use this place if I don't get my money back! read more
