I had a very frustrating experience at this eye clinic today. I drove 2.5 hours to bring my dad to his scheduled appointment. We arrived on time, but we waited over three hours before he was even seen. The office felt completely disorganized. Appointments did not seem to be running in any kind of order, and the waiting room was packed with around 20 other patients who also appeared to be waiting far past their scheduled times. My dad was eventually taken back for testing and even started the process of choosing glasses. Then we were told they needed to redo his tests, so they brought him back again. Right as they were about to continue his appointment, the doctor simply decided to leave for the day and refused to proceed with seeing any more patients. This meant my dad's appointment--after hours of waiting and after driving several hours to get there--was never completed. Meanwhile, the waiting room was still full of patients who had appointments as well. I understand that clinics can run behind sometimes, but accepting appointments and then leaving patients without care after hours of waiting is unacceptable, especially for elderly patients who traveled a long distance. I hope management reviews how appointments are handled and ensures patients are treated with more respect in the future. read more

My son's glasses already need repairing due to cheap nose pad coming off very soon after we got them. Went today and all lights were on but doors are locked up tight at 1pm. During the process, Mrs. Jennifer repeatedly asked how much I wanted to spend. After the exam, she informed me that my son required plastic lenses. I explained that we came specifically for the $79 promotion, which was our budgeted amount. She then stated that due to his need for plastic lenses and a stent, the $79 promotion was not available, and quoted $168 for the glasses and lenses. When I asked how much it would cost to obtain the prescription and return later, she quoted $108. Also, sales associate was rude and impatient when adjusting my glasses just to get home and have them be crooked. Don't expect your glasses to be there just because you receive a text saying they are! My granddaughter lives out of town and I made sure both pair of glasses were ready for her fitting and pick up so we would only have to make 1 trip. Got the text message yesterday stating that her other pair was there so we went in today to discover that they the one pair was NOT there! They have my phone number, they could have phoned me and said they weren't in the shipment, saving me a trip. Don't bother making an appointment. They're going to still push you to the side and have you wait about two hours. Then it's either wait longer to see the actual eye doctor or do a tele-call. I opted for the tele call since they couldn't tell me how much longer I'd have to wait to see the optometrist in person. The tele call was okay; doctor had a heavy accent so difficult to understand at times. Once I was done, I was told to wait inside. As I did that, another patients personal info popped up on the screen inside and a different tele-doc showed up. He was completely confused as to why I was there since the patient's info indicated a male. I was finally taken out of the room and told to wait even longer. Once I had my prescription, I went to only order contacts. The sales woman was pushy and seemed irate that I refused to buy their overpriced glasses. Well, I walked out for the second and last time this morning. The first time was about 4 months ago when I went in just for glasses. I waited 20 minutes just to hand someone my prescription. The only guy in front was busy flirting with a female customer and never offered to help People were coming and going in the rear, but never even said Hi. Today I went in for a scheduled exam. I was directed to some large gal testing a stool in the rear. She never looked up. Just said sign in. I signed in and still nothing so I assumed I was to take a seat behind her. I did and finally, about 10 minutes later, she swung around on this incredibly tough stool and said, "using insurance?" I told her yes. She handed me a clip board and said, "Fill out everything highlighted in pink." She then managed to stand up and leave the area. There was one small problem! I was there for an exam and GLASSES! I could not read the small print on the form, especially since the words were covered in pink high lighter. I waited another 10 minutes for someone to help, but no one ever showed back up. During this whole time, there was a very loud argument going on between the front staff and a customer that seemed to just be just trying to pick up the glasses promised him. I wish I read the yelp reviews before shopping here. I decided to try contacts for the first time, and they offered to take me to the back to try a throwaway pair with no prescription and I said sure. The person who was supposed to help me just stood there and watched me struggle. So I pulled up YouTube and tried to figure it out myself and I couldn't get the contacts in. They were closing soon so I just said I'll try to do it at home and checked out. I didn't realize they were charging me over $100 to be "showing" me how to put in contacts, and weren't suppose to let me purchase contacts without knowing I could get them in and out. Anyways flash forward I get my prescription and I absolutely cannot get these contacts me, I opened 1 pack out of the 4, there was 2 packs for each eye, and the assistant manager told me I should still be able to do a return because of my struggles. The next day I brought in the product and had the displeasure of meeting the "Brand Manager" instead, who only let me return the product from one eye even though the box from the other eye wasn't open, and wouldn't refund any of my services, which means a partial refund to my insurance and nothing I paid out of pocket. The "Brand Manager" was very standoffish and unsympathetic to the whole situation, whereas I'm sure the assistant manager who helped me previously would have done the return without issue if she was there. The experience with hidden charges for services that were unprovided and dealing with the branch manager were enough that I will never shop here again. read more

I went to this location to finally get a prescription and be real a adult with glasses. I needed one very badly, but kept putting it off saying I'm too young for glasses. Anyway, the service was perfect, the people were so good. Kind, clean, quick, and professional. No complaints at all! However, my prescription was all wrong, and my glasses didn't work for me at all. I took them back, and again they were super cool about everything! They took them back, remeasured my pupil alignment, corrected my readers prescription (supposedly), and remade the glasses in new frames free of charge! I wish I could say the second time they fixed the issue, and I regained my confidence... However, they did not. They were worse than before, and I was afraid to go back again. By then I felt really stupid for ever going in the first place. I won't go back and I suggest that that YOU DON'T EITHER..... P.S. My vision is much worse, and I still can't see a thing! I have a previous negative review for Stanton and was asked to call Customer service to explain the problem. I did so, but was told I have to go back and start the process all over again if I want a resolution. I spent over $400.00 6 months ago, only to drop $450.00 for another pair of glasses today for my wife. the optometrist told us that her glasses from Stanton weren't even close. she is so excited to get it done right and with only 1 visit. Now I have to go into the optometrist because I can't see with my new contacts? I don't understand what's wrong, but I'm going to find out. So I am out over $400 and many hours of time and travel to and from, at least 8 times between the two of us. I told the nice customer service guy that I deserved at the very least a % of my money back and preferably all of it. He of course said we have to come in and check before he could do anything. I am always treated with respect from the moment I step through their door. they greet me with a warm welcome and with smiles on their faces. They're always a pleasure to do business with. They are super informative, very respectful, helpful and in my own honest opinion highly recommendable. I'd recommend them to all of my close friends and relatives. I'm always in and out, quickly. Sometimes, when they're super busy they do make sure and help whoever was there first and prioritize that person, but thats how it should be. But they always let you know "I'll be right with you as soon as I'm available". they're very respectful and professional. I can't remember how we found Stanton Optical, but I'm sure glad we did. They definitely take pride in their job, they take their jobs serious and it shows. the lady who helped me today, Amy is always friendly, helpful, informative and professional. She always makes the transaction as easy as possible and she's quick. Alyssa was extremely rude and disrespectful. Bought glasses only 6 months ago and the film is starting to lift off the lenses. Alyssa started being disrespectful by essentially calling us liars and saying the film only lifts off because of something we did instead of it possibly even being a defect with the lens, but it's of course her "professional opinion". We asked her to just stop being rude but she would not just continued on until I told her to just stop and finish the transaction, to which she just slid a paper across the counter and said bye without even letting us know any information on when the new lenses would be in. I just want to say I had the best experience here. First, I was able to make an appointment the same evening which was really nice! My appointment was at 605. I got there at 530 and I was able to be seen early. She got me back pretty quickly. I had my lite one with me and they were so accommodating. I didn't knownit was a virtual visit. The optometrist was there on a computer screen but hey, she got it right so that's all that matters. I got the contact/glasses exam with trials. So in all my years no office has ever had trials for me. THIS PLACE DID AND THEY ACTUALLY WERE ON POINT!! I was so shocked. I went to order my contacts and they were also quite reasonably priced. Less than I would pay on 1800 contacts so I bought a whole years worth. I loved the customer service, the patience with me and my child. I was overall very pleased and I can't wait to get my new contacts!!! And will probably order glasses from them as well. read more

I scheduled an appointment after viewing a commercial that advertised a free eye exam and two pairs of glasses for $59.95. I ran a little late but was seen after signing in and a short 10 min wait. The exam was short and concise. The selection of frames for the $60 special is very small and horrendous! That said, the more appealing frames are affordable. That "glasses ready in 15 minutes" claim is more like 30+ BUT they were dialed in PERFECTLY! I've NEVER had glasses so clear, fit so well, and cost so little. I might had that I used my insurance and I walked out the door paying 1/2 that $60 special with one pair of frames and looked TWICE as good! LOL! I must say the staff is EXCELLENT! They are knowledgeable and customer focused. I watched as they addressed each customer respectfully and attentively. I think that is important and rare these days. I can see much better today.
