I've dealt with his rude, seemingly uneducated staff for years, solely because I really like Dr. Chism. So, why the negative, 1 star review, you must ask? Allow me to opine: I had my annual exam scheduled for the end of March. I scheduled this appointment nearly a month out. I fully understand that when the CDC mandates closing your office, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, this is necessary. It's not the Doc's fault, and I'm more understanding than most. It's also not Jessica's fault that she was overly curt with me, when she rudely told me "I'm cancelling your appointment." No shit, I get that. I'm sure she would've been more polite on any other day. Again, I'm understanding. But, what I really cannot tolerate is the lack of customer service. I very politely asked Jessica to ask the Doc to extend my prescription, so I could order more contacts. I was on my last pair. She didn't seem to care (remember the curt demeanor?). She said that I could have one trial pair. I asked if I could have two, and politely offered to pay for them. She said, no, but I could have one pair, and that she would leave them in the "bushes" for me. Yes, she really did leave them in the bushes. I still get emails from my old eye Doc in Fort Worth. His office sent multiple emails offering to extend prescriptions, and to assist in ordering contacts, and eyeglasses. This is true customer service, and something Chism's staff should brush up on. I'm in Fort Worth once, or twice a month for business. It wouldn't be an inconvenience, to switch back to him, and I probably will. None of us can pinpoint a timetable for when this Covid 19 madness will end. But, one thing I am quite certain of is that it will last longer than the one pair of contact lenses that were left in the bushes.
