I needed to get my frames repaired due to one of the legs being broken. I originally went to a different location, but they didn't have the frame in stock so I had to come to this location located on military Trail and Forest Hill. The inside was very clean and welcoming. As soon as I walked in, one of the representatives named Sebastian did greet me. I told him that I needed to replace my frame and he immediately looked at my account and found the frames and replace the lens into the new frame. I was in and out of this location in less than five minutes. I love how quick and professional this location is. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service of this center. I bought two pair of glasses for my mom a few days ago. The service that day was amazing. Two days ago I received the first pair of glasses and my mom was unable to use them for reading as she cannot see any letters with them. We visited the optical center yesterday to address this concern. I was advised to have my mother continue wearing the glasses while allowing time for her to adjust. When I asked about alternative solutions, given that I paid for glasses that she could use effectively, Sebastian informed me that I could obtain a new eye examination elsewhere and bring it the updated prescription, she would then receive a replacement of her glasses at no additional cost. I asked if they would recommend any ophthalmologist but I was told they did not have anyone to suggest. I then asked Sebastian to provide written confirmation by email of his offer anticipating that it could take longer than a few days to get a new evaluation but he declined, stating that they could not provide such written confirmation and I would need to rely on what he had told me verbally. I then requested to speak with a manager, but I was informed that he was the only person available to help me with that issue at the time. I paid more than $1000 for these glasses, yet my mother still does not have a pair she can use properly for both distance and reading. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and a written response outlining the next steps to ensure that my mother receives glasses that meet her visual needs. read more

Please do not subject yourself to the duplicity and defective products that they sell. Of course, the $79 for 2 pair of eyeglasses is a tip-off to bait and switch; but that is not my primary concern. We walked out with an order for one pair of eyeglasses for my husband with protection coating and a two-year warranty for almost $500. When the coating began to peel after a few months, my husband went to return the glasses. He was charged $90 to get a replacement!!! When I called customer service, I was told that our warranty helped reduce the cost (20% of the replacement). It was the defective protective coating that was bubbling, I explained, so this should be their responsibility. More conversation disclosed that the coating was only $45, so why were we charged double that cost?? We were given new lenses, he explained. So it was 20% cost to us with the two-year warranty. i asked to waive the $90 additional charge, but they wouldn't budge. When my husband returned to pick up the new glasses, there was a different frame; and they explained that the old frame did not fit the new lenses. Well, the lenses are shaking on these frames, as well. shoddy workmanship. poor customer support. terrible experience overall and getting more $$$ for their defective work. I've been here previously now i'm getting my second pair of glasses here, I loved my previous pair used them for a year or two. I did know bc of the fact i hadn't used glasses in 7 year even though i needed to my prescription did change and that's why i'm getting my second pair. I went to Stanton Optical on Military Trail since they had my prescription from 2 pairs of glasses I purchased after an eye exam last November. I wanted them to put lenses into another frame that I did not purchase at Stanton. My insurance informed me that they should definitely accommodate me this request. THEY REFUSED. I was told that they would only put lenses into their frames that were displayed in their store. Cost: $455.00 over and above what United Healthcare Vision Plan approved. On my last pair of contacts and I found this place on Google. The business looked nice from the outside but parking was very limited. When I walked in, the customer service was lacking and there was no explanation or questions asked that I was used to being asked at my other optometrist appointments. There was no actual optometrist on site.. they use a teledoc on screen to facilitate the screening. When the Dr on screen was finished asking which one is better; 1 or 2, there was no good bye or thank you for visiting or anything. The screen just cut out and a tech came in to say we'll let you know if we have your prescription. I was like, ok.. can I put my contacts in because I cannot see anything. Now I am currently sitting in the waiting area (I think this is where I'm supposed to be?) for them to give me my prescription. Never coming here again. read more

The one star is only for the optometrist (Dr. Ana) who was very pleasant and professional. I went to this location today because I needed a refill on my contacts stat since i have some social events to go to this weekend. I couldn't get an appointment at Costco or Walmart until Monday so i decided to give Stanton a second try. My husband said to me "remember last time they were refusing to give you the prescription? I will come with you because they were very difficult." (I got an eye exam last year, and Stanton didnt have the lenses I wanted so I asked for a copy of my rx but they still wouldn't give it to me). Today, our experience started out well, but when my husband and I went to the register to pay, the man said it's $89 if you get contacts here but if you get your contacts somewhere else *like you did last time* it is going to be $145. I told him that I called and asked for the price, and no one ever mentioned anything about 2 different prices for the contact lens exam. He said "well you didn't talk to me". Since I was already at the location, I decided to ask how much my contacts (Acuvue Moist 90 pack) would be. He said $160!!! Absolutely crazy!! (Normally it is about $50-$60). I asked, does $160 include the exam? And it didn't!! If it was a marginal difference we would have just got the contacts here, but charging more than $100 extra per box? My contacts are only $57 at Costco. It actually felt as if manager was arbitrarily adding some charges. My husband had to inform the manager that it is ILLEGAL for him to withhold the prescription once we have paid the fee. I have never seen a place which charges 2 different prices for the eye exam depending on whether you buy things at the store or not. In essence, it is like charging a $56 fee to transfer a prescription which is absolutely illegal. And once my husband got super upset and told the man that it's unethical and asked for his name... he relented and said "ok ill charge you the $89 price". So that shows that the manager was able to easily adjust the price depending on his mood; it didnt have anything to do with whether the contact lenses were in the transaction. At least we were aware that the manager was being shady, but I really feel bad for consumers who might not that be informed or assertive and would have their hard earned money taken from them unfairly. SUMMARY: DO NOT COME HERE! Pay $110 for your eye exam at Costco, Walmart, or Target. It's $20 more for your eye exam but your contacts will be $100 less...and best of all they don't play these underhanded games! 9-27-2021 I responded to a text msg saying my order was waiting for pickup so I waste almost $15 worth of gas to get there. When I walk in the young lady working the pickup counter looks me up and tells me "oh that was a mistake". I never do this but they earned this review. NEVER EVER COME HERE FOR ANYTHING. I came here a couple weeks ago to get eyes checked and order contacts and glasses. My glasses and contacts came in a couple days ago. Last night I took off my trial set of contacts and put on my glasses. The obviously screwed up the prescription because it was like looking thru a fish bowl and made me nauseous. You would think know big deal I still have my contacts. So this morning I go put on my contacts and now my equilibrium is off. I think it might be because off my eyes readjusting from the glasses. Nope come to notice they marked the left and right boxes for the contacts wrong. So I come in to return the glasses and they have the nerve to say my refund for the glasses is only $29.45 When I spent over $300 here. The lady tries to go over the breakdown for me to try explain it. So let me break it down for everyone in basic terms. What they do at Stanton Optical is play with the numbers. They pretend to mark the glasses down and pretend to give you a discount that on its face seems like a good deal, but don't be fool. What they actually do is add a bunch of over priced features like 1. Lens sv,poly,hc,uv- $180 2 lens warranty - $25 3. Lens polish -$ 25 For a few examples. So they add this to cover the fake mark down of the glasses and give you an imaginary discount when in actuality they marked up everything. I went to Stanton Optical off of Military Trl. & Forest Hill Blvd. on two separate occasions; once in 2015 for prescription eyeglasses, and again in 2017 to visit the Optometrist. In 2015, I needed new glasses since the ones I was wearing at the time were already ten years old. I was referred to this location by a relative. Since they seemed to have a positive experience, I decided to give them a go. The first thing (and probably most annoying aspect) was the lack of parking. I must have circled around the building at least a dozen times looking for a spot. When I couldn't, I decided to park next door, putting my car at risk of being towed. Luckily, that never happened. Whom, may I ask, decided to construct such a huge two-story building on the corner, only to provide a few regular and parallel parking spots? Did they honestly think having under 20 spaces was enough to accommodate the numerous amount of customers? Where are the employees parking? I'm going to assume the same lot, meaning that's probably a majority of the spaces being occupied. Anyhow, after taking a look at their selection of frames, I was able to pick out the ones I wanted and handed them to an employee where they began processing me for the eye exam. Since I was purchasing frames with prescription lenses, I was offered a $50.00 discount on top of a $95.00 bill which came out to $45.00. Not too bad. After the exam was concluded, there was a promotion of buy one, get one free at $69.00 for the frames. Though, since I wanted both clear and tinted glasses, the lenses themselves were the biggest cost of all. That, in and of itself, was $193.00. The final bill totaled $262.00. Ouch. Since I desperately needed new glasses, I went ahead and accepted, but the lady that was handling my order tried to sell me the kitchen sink by offering an assortment of protection for the lenses and an extended warranty for an additional cost. I politely told her no thank you. She then charged my card and asked for my contact information. Of course, they do not make the actual lenses there in the store, but rather elsewhere. I was told to wait for a phone call in two weeks. So, a few weeks pass and I eventually receive the call. I went back and, again, had to park next door to the establishment. I walked inside and was ready to pick my glasses up. I was told to wait while they finalized everything. When they were ready, they handed me the glasses to try on. Whoops, they messed up my order. My sunglasses were photochromic (transition). I never ordered that to begin with, and declined two weeks prior. Here we go again: they had to redo the sunglasses. At least this time around, I didn't have to wait several weeks, just a few days. Got the call, parked next door, and finally tried them on. Perfect. They gave me free cases, so that's a plus. A few months later, my left lens falls out of my sunglasses while driving. Seeing as how I'm nearsighted (can't see far), I made it to my destination with one eye open. Talk about a scary situation. I immediately headed back to Stanton Optical and had them fix it for free right there on the spot. No problems since. In 2017, I decided to go to an Optometrist due to a bacterial infection in my eyes (Blepharitis). I was told that an appointment wasn't necessary, so I traveled there during my lunch break during work. Guess what? Two years later, and the parking situation is STILL the same. They never bothered expanding the lot. What a joke. I suppose it's impossible due to the location. I walked in and went straight to where the office is for eye exams. The lady behind the desk told me that you do have to schedule an appointment. Seeing as how I didn't want to return back to work late, I made it for the weekend. Again, I arrive, sign my name, and was told to wait for the eye doc. An hour and a half later, they finally call on me. Sheesh, the time it takes for them to see you is more than my regular Primary Care Physician. I walk in, sit down, the doc looks at my eyes, puts a few of those special drops in, and while conducting the examination, keeps yakking off at the mouth about something I couldn't care less about. I know now why the wait time was so long. I was given a prescription for Maxitrol, only charged $35.00 for the visit, and headed towards the local pharmacy to fill it. Would I ever contemplate coming here again? Probably not. While they may be cheap in certain areas such as the eye exam and whatnot, purchasing glasses from them was an unpleasant experience. read more

This place is a scam! They have banners showing 2 pairs for $59 and a free eye exam. I called and asked them to explain the promotion. He did, told me the same thing. I made the apartment. Next day when I get there they place was busy. They take my information and ask me for a $49 dollar exam fee. I question it as it says and I was told it was a free exam. She said it would be discounted from the total. I paid then asked to look at the frames that are on sale. They showed me 5 horrific frames and then she tells me that those are only good if you have 1 pony low or high from 20/20. In that case you don't need glasses. Positives: This location has a lot of frames to choose from. Negatives: 1) The entrance to the parking is not marked and the parking very tight and crowded. 2) Customer service is bad. It must have taken me 30 minutes+ after I selected my frames until I was paid and ready to go. Then, when my frames were ready a week later, I went in to pick them up and was just handed them to me in a case. No effort on their part to check my fit. Plus, the lenses were dirty, I had to clean them in order to see. 3) The glasses come with a "warranty", but when the cheap plastic frames broke, I went in and was charged $20 to have the $99 frames replaced. The technician removed the lenses from my old frames with his fingers and inserted them into the new frames and again just handed them to me without checking the fit or cleaning his fingerprints off of the lenses. The worse optical service I've ever encountered. The staff is very unprofessional and it took over a month to get my glasses. None of the staff bother to call when the glasses were ready. They mixed up my prescriptions. The 2 pair of glasses and eye exam deal is a total joke. They only offer child size glasses with that deal. Paid over $400 and still dont have the correct prescription. Initial appoinment was March 26th and still waiting for the second pair. About two years ago I went to the Palm Springs location...had a decent experience. No frills. Went in, picked out two frames from a large selection, had my exam, paid $69 and came back a week later for my glasses. Cut to today. Went to the west palm location. I looked around. And was told the selection was only two small rows of horrible frames. When the girl saw the look on my face, she offered a alternative since I said I was on a tight budget. $79 for two pairs. I went into the Boca Raton location on 12/27/2019 for eye exam and glasses. After waiting for weeks, the store never called to let me know the glasses were just sitting in the store. I advised them at the time of the visit, I wanted them mailed to SC. On 01/06/2020 the clerk stated the glasses were going to be mailed to SC. I called 8 times and was placed on terminal hold.
