They had the part I needed which is good. However, Stanton's prices for parts are marked up too much. The washing machine lid switch I needed is as low as $3.97 on some websites (without buying in bulk). Need to part today and want to get it from Stanton? That'll be $46. They had the washing machine lid switch in stock and I was able to get it the same day which is good. Charging $46 for a $4 part is not good. I will definitely consider their 1000% markup next time I need a part. read more

I purchased a whirlpool washer and dryer in July. PAID CASH. I called at the end of August to tell them there was an issue with the dryer. They sent the rudest Repairman ever. And they sent him twice. He came in disrespecting my home and me. TWICE. Yes I was livid and upset and asked him to leave. I called Service. They called me back and said they were not going to send anyone because of the way I talked to him and to the person on the phone. I apologized to the woman answering the phone , "it's not you". Mind you the manager called back and said that wasn't sending another Repairman because of how I TALKED TO HIM and to the person who answered the phone and to call Whirlpool. Now of course he ended up the "victim" and Mr. Stanley didn't tell the whole story. That's fine if this is how Stanton operates. I told her I'll call Whirlpool but let me leave you with this since you can conclude what happened based on one side of the story. I will call whirlpool or someone else to repair my less than two month "new" dryer. a lemon?? I will not go back to Stanton again to make another purchase. I'm telling you I miss Terry (retired salesman) so much. He took care of my purchases for over 20 years at Stanton. I purchased all Jenn-Aire products, cartridges for my stove, appliances, microwave, dishwasher, oven. Customer Service is non-existence at Stanton. But don't dress up facts to suit a different narrative. Nation wide suppliers have greater leverage with manufacturers, pushing businesses like this to the bottom of the chain. Delivery looking at 5 months for a dryer. And being short handed just indicates low wages for employees. UPDATE: Spoke to Mike Barrett on 1/3/2017 who advised me the replacement cook top hasn't even been shipped from the factory yet. We are still in the process of remodeling our house because of the August 2016 Flood and in December 2017, we were just shopping around for appliances at different home improvement stores, etc. Our daughter actually referred us to go see Stanton's for our appliances. We thought, "Stanton's? Aren't they expensive?" but, once we got in there, Teri McLeod was extremely helpful in our choices, all Frigidaire Professional series kitchen appliances, AND the overall price. We actually spent about $3000 less by going to Stanton's than buying from any of the other stores we had been to. We were FINALLY ready for the appliances starting in August 2018. The stove and oven were delivered and our contractor was able to get them installed. Then in December the refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher were delivered, all at the same price given to us a year ago. Awesome sales person, Teri McLeod, great delivery guys, installer contractor for the refrigerator/freezer and trim; everyone is just wonderful to work with. read more

I had looked around at different places for prices and Chris at Stanton's gave us a excellent price. Our installer Jason was very professional and did a great job. We had used Stanton's many years ago when we purchased a washer and dryer they installed too. I would NOT RECOMMEND this company unless you like being treated rudely and without respect by an extremely unprofessional married couple appearing to be in their 50s, who came with a very entitled, condescending attitude to "install" my new dishwasher because they were relatives of the store owner, not any kind of professional installers. I ended up having to demand my money back after they left without doing the work because they said my kitchen smelled like I had a dog in the house (not true), and I had a few rinsed and stacked dishes in the sink (waiting to load after the new dishwasher was installed so that I could see how it worked.) I do have one small dog, but he does not stink. And honestly, no one has ever said anything like that to me before in my life. Completely uncalled for. And before they went tearing out of my driveway, they were at the curb picking through my neighbor's trash like a bunch of scavengers. So unprofessional. read more

Don't ever waste your time dealing with this service department!!! It started out as a simple issue. Fix our ice maker. It has since grown to almost in $800 series of expenses and yet it still only make ice if you continuously unplug it every time it drops the ice. Now they tell us there's something else wrong with it. The problem is they never diagnosed it properly in the first place. Their service people are employed by Stanton's but they work on commission. I am going to try and fight that they put all the almost $800 that we have spent towards supposedly repairing the problem that was properly diagnosed towards a new refrigerator. Took 5 days to make service call to my home to fix microwave. Then repairman said he would call next day with estimate (which was a Friday) never did. That Monday called them and was told they would order part. After waiting another week I call back to check status and was told the part still was not in. At this point, I told them to keep the part. The young lady who answers the phone for the service department could care less! Very disappointed in this company. read more

I had a HORRIBLE experience with this company and it's still not over yet for me. I purchased a new $2300.00 Whirlpool double oven from this company and this location in November 2012 and they installed at the beginning of December 2012. The contracted installer they hired to do this job was a skinny little guy by himself trying to install a 30 inch double oven!! At one point during installation he said "I think I will have to call for backup". But he finally kept working with it, banging it around and using a CAR JACK to install our oven! It now has a dent in our brand new oven. Yes it work, but since this installation, it has not worked right. We can't get oven temp to stabilize, or get it calibrated. So Stanton's sends one of their techs out to "fix" our oven. He undid the calibration that I had done using the owner's manual then tested it with his laser temp tester and left. Our heads were spinning! He wasn't even at our house very long! You can't test temperature in an oven with a laser temp tester seeing as the laser touches the walls of the oven. You aren't testing the wall temp, you should be testing the AIR temp! After that, we tested our oven and still doing same things wrong. I PAID an electrician $140 to inspect our house wiring end of the issue. It's on it's own circuit and everything checked out fine so we knew it was the oven at that point. I called the "general manager" Mike, (later found out he's the owner of the company) and he refused to give us our money back. Basically saying we're stuck with an oven we are going to have to repair or suck up $2300 and buy a new one. I called Whirlpool and they said same thing. They will not give us a refund. We've now had FIVE repairs done, Whirlpool had 2 other repair services out here to replace almost the entire core of the oven: Control board, Blower fan, and Oven Sensor, and it's STILL not working. Now it is March 2013. We've been without an oven for that many months. Between Stanton's and Whirlpool, we are getting the short end of this and not getting what we paid for. Stanton's used to be a reputable company in Baton Rouge, but now after this, I will NEVER buy another product from them again and am COMPLETELY dissatisfied with their lack of customer satisfaction. Mike complained on the phone to me that he "couldn't eat the cost of a $2300+ oven" so he would NOT give me my money back. He was rude with his tone and was not willing to satisfy a customer to keep business. He basically stole money from us! He has our money, and we have a broken brand new oven and have been completely inconvenienced by not having an oven for months now! It ruined our traditional Christmas cookie baking!!!! I will never do business with Stanton's again....any location. I urge you not to either. Oh and by the way, they have a repair policy that also states they do not issue refunds. The salesman TJ never brought this to my attention before our purchase. After the fallout with Mike on the phone, I called back so I could have them mail me a copy of that policy, but they said they "do not have a written 'no refunds' policy". That is so unprofessional!!!....especially with large appliances! This is not the same Stanton's we grew up with in this town. They used to be so nice. Times have changed...for the worse. Absolutely the worst costumer service I have ever experienced. My AC has been out in South Louisiana for 11 days now. Every time I call for an update, I am given the runaround and transferred around between departments. When I spoke to them two days ago, they said it would be fixed today. They called me this morning saying it would be another 4 days. That brings my grand total of days without AC to 15 if they actually do what they say they will, which that have yet to do. My mother bought an induction Electrolux stove from this place three years ago. It stopped working about a year ago. She contacted them and was told the part was no longer under warranty and so she spent $1056.21 to have the control replaced. We were told that we had a 1 year warranty on the part. What was not fully explained to my mother was that she would have to pay for any labor to have the part replaced if it broke during the warranty. Well the part has been in use for 9 months and broke again. They will warranty the part but we have to pay a service fee and the installation for a part that is less then a year old that. Sorry but I do not think that is acceptable behavior. Seems like a grand scam to me that we pay for labor for a third time and then what it stops working again!!! Very dissatisfied with them and will never buy another product from them. Will also be sure to tell everyone I know to not buy from them. read more
