In 2 years I've maybe returned 2 items. This Staples is the return centre for Amazon. So quick and easy, in and out. The same Clerk has helped me out x 2 now and she's great. Lots of parking. Never busy when I go. I love the odd clearance area and the seasonal things they can sometimes have at Xmas. I'm a fan but I mainly come for the Amazon reason.

However, the online…read moresystem I tried to use before I went to the store had two major problems: (1) all the files I uploaded had to be re-uploaded to a different website at the store, and (2) the online system only accepts credit cards from Canadian residents (I have a Canadian bank account, and own a condo in Canada, but my billing address is in the US, so the Staples website would not accept my credit card) -- and they did not disclose this until after I had spent a couple of hours uploading my files and fine-tuning the print options so the costs were reasonable. There wasn't any at nearby stores and they couldn't order it either. I asked to have the floor model since it was the last one. He got the manager who was completely condescending and argued with me. He wouldn't give me the floor model or even order the product. He claimed they "may" get a new chair in but it was "uncertain". All the employees gave me a different answer. Why keep a product out on display - it was advertised as a best seller - but not have it in stock? Put it in the back then so customers don't see it and get their hopes up. Why couldn't I have the floor model? Utterly ridiculous. Not to mention the manager was a jerk about it. I won't be back here EVER AGAIN.

At one point he raised his voice so I had to ask him to calm himself. He did not listen to my concern and he kept repeating things that had nothing to do with my complaint. When I asked for a supervisor he told me he's a supervisor. When I asked where I can complain about his behavior he said go to staples.ca. When I asked for his name he said his name was Brian. When I asked for his full name he said he is not going to give it to me and he's the only Brian in Carleton Place. I wonder why Staples does not train or monitor these people.
