I own a business and sometimes need to stop at staples to grab some supplies. This staples though is strange. I find the people working here rude and clueless. I went in needing toner, they didn't have it in stock. I ask an employee if they may have it in the back, he says no (rudely). His demeanor was rude, I felt brushed off like he didn't even want to help me look for the item if it may have been on the shelf and I just didn't see it with my eyes. In fact the website, said the item was in stock.. (I know that is not ALWAYS correct) but he didn't even want to help me look or anything. Just wanted to tell me he can order it for me and it be delivered on Friday. 3 days later for delivery? (It's Tuesday)... But seriously the employees are clueless about staples? I could have ordered it on my phone in the store and had it picked up in ONE HOUR..... lol, why would he tell me he can order it and be delivered 3 days later. How stupid. Does he not realize that there is a 1hour pick up from the website for 99% of items! Anyway, I drove to the one in East Syracuse, my item was in stock and the employees at the location are friendly and nice! I will avoid this location as much as possible. read more

What a joke! All I needed today at Staples today was to have a paper Medicare card laminated. I've used their laminating services at this location before and know that this job is a 3-4 minute max process. The employee who I believe is a manager of the copy center seemed to be training a young man and taking care of a customer. Other than that they did not seem too busy. When she was done she looked at me and asked "pick up or drop off". I answered neither that all I needed was this simple, small laminating job. She asked if I wanted to pick it up tomorrow or wait an hour. I asked if she was kidding me. She said she wasn't kidding and that it was a one hour minimum wait for drop offs. She directed me to the end of a particular aisle to get self laminating products so I could do it myself. I found that all those products needed the use a heat laminator at quite a high cost. A pleasant young employee nearby asked if I needed help. I explained what I needed and he said I could get that done right up front at the copy center. He must have thought that someone who cared about customer service was working that shift up there! I told them I was turned away up there. He then walked me to another area of the store and showed me what they sold that would work for me which would still cost more than if the simple task was done at the copy center. As I was checking out I looked over at the copy center to see that "too busy to help me" employee doing nothing but standing there watching me as I checked out. I stewed for a couple hours and then placed a call to the store to speak with the store manager. I found out policy is a one hour min for all drop offs so the copy center doesn't get behind on larger drop off jobs. She also said that (even if she took the initiative to exhibit proper customer satisfaction) I would have to pay an upcharge! So much for "That's Easy" and customer service. In the future I will be taking all my office supply business to Amazon. read more
