Get more people and teach them well. I was there to return Amazon Items and had the worst experience. Went back and forth several times (6!) between return desks. Nobody knew what they were doing at all. One associate said she was the only one that wasn't new. Not sure why the turnover at this store but it was awful instead of convenient to try to return items. I ended up mad, frustrated and left with my items as nothing worked. read more

I would give this store a zero if I could. This has nothing to do with the store or products but entirely because of a rude and condesending manager. I went there and faxed two items. it was suppose to be $10.50 for each I got one receipt but the second one wouldnt print. The next day I saw that staples charged me 3 times for the second fax. I went in to get it fixed and The manager Ken...was on the phone rolling his eyes and acting all weird to the caller. He then set the phone down to help me with the customer still on the line. I told him about my sistuation and he started to tell me a story about a gas pump and putting in so much money. and I stopped him and said what does this have to do with my refund and he yelled out, good god man I am trying to teach you...and I said I am not her for a lesson I am here for a refund. He started jumping around saying o my god several times like a cartoon character. I felt maybe he was on something. Anyway he was extremely rude and then he picked up the phone of the customer that was on it and said to them he is busy and hung up on them. He then started being rude and jumping around saying omg over and over. When I said VERY politely "excuse me, can you help me" I got a very rude sigh and she abruptly walked to where the item was and with an attitude handed it to me and walked away. I should have read reviews before trusting the copy of my watercolor prints. I was told by the girl at the counter that she was "new" and needed someone else to make the copies. She asked which paper I wanted for the prints, I asked to actually SEE the paper. She gave a heavy sigh before attempting to find two of the papers. I told her that the heavier paper may be the one. I asked for something to protect the paintings, she said that they wouldn't "hurt" them. However I stood there and she got a plastic protector. I was told the prints would be ready Monday. ( this was Sunday morning) At 4:30 pm I was called that the prints were ready to pick up. We headed down and when we were shown the prints I was floored. The colors were DULL and the background blue didn't even show up. The man said, "We tried several different times and this was the best we could do".....Then young man, why didn't you CALL ME. I showed him how the print just wouldn't do, however he started pointing out to me how its not possible to pick up the color. All the while actually putting his dirty finger ON the painting. I told him to get his hand off the painting..... What could have been better? If you aren't sure how the print looks. CALL YOUR CUSTOMER. I should have just picked up my original paintings and walked out. I paid for them.....50 HORRIBLE looking prints. Dirty finger prints ON the original. I am disgusted. And out $36.00. I tried to tell the clerk how watercolor paper was 100% different than his print paper.....Again, I should have read Yelp before walking in. read more

They were under-staffed (which I totally feel for) but also kind of... incompetent? I was giddy for an external hard-drive. So giddy I knew I'd buy one there and get home and feel slightly guilty for not being patient and checking out my other options. So giddy, that after 15 minutes of wandering around, looking for someone to talk to, trying to talk to staff as they were running up and down aisles and talking on the phone; and seeing the floor manager running around just as crazy-frantic-curt as the rest of the staff, that my giddiness deflated into a flat balloon of sadness. It's better for me that they didn't have the staff to help me, because I probably should wait and research, and now I will, but I was bull-headed about buying one TODAY. And frankly, I've never been in any of these types of store that didn't have about a million staff in red shirts pacing the aisles, chatting everyone up. Boo. read more

The sign on the counter says 30% up charge for today orders, I pointed it out to her and said I will gladly pay the up charge as I need these today. Super RUDE girl in the print area, and this is not the first time I've had trouble with her. The first time I just had one question and she totally ignored me for the better part of 20 minutes while she chatted with coworkers before she rolled her eyes and finally told me the wrong thing to do. The second time, I was printing out flyers for my mothers funeral and she gave me the same garbage attitude until I got one of the tech guys to help me before I did something wrong that would get me in trouble. Today, all she had to do was let me purchase my things, but she let me know in a huge huff that SHE IS TOO IMPORTANT AS THE PRINT GIRL TO LOWER HERSELF TO SERVING CUSTOMERS, then she rolled her eyes and walked away while I was still trying to ask her a question. I cannot believe this horrible human is still employed!! Don't expect good feelings in this place. She infects the whole atmosphere with her nasty!! read more

Went here to get 50 5x7 front and back copies for a takeout menu that I created. The jpegs were exactly the same size so I thought it wouldn't be an issue at all. The FIRST day I went in there was only one man working who apparently is the head of copying and printing...say what? It was a super busy afternoon and he was the ONLY one working the entire station (it's very big--self copying machines, ups shipping, ordering, checkout, the works!) I immediately realized how busy this man was, so I tried to remain patient. Finally I gave him my flashdrive and attempted to explain what I needed to have done, which in my mind was a simple task. I had to repeat myself countless times as he acted like he understood what I wanted done but was clearly not listening. He at one point helping 4 different customers at once, which is quite hard when each station is unique to itself. He kept frantically coming back to me with a new print-out that was nothing like what I wanted. Finally my boyfriend came back from perusing the store and took his turn at trying to explain our simple task. Finally after half and hour dealing with this employee's incompetence we put some faith in his ability to hopefully get this right, since he finally acted like he understood what we wanted. When we asked when it would be done he frantically explained that he had another employee coming in at 1pm and would call when it was done (he made it sound like it would be fast once she got in) Later on, with no phone call, I decided to go back to the store at 4:30pm thinking they probably had it finished but didn't call...when I got there the SAME man, with his assistant there, explained that he hadn't even started and to "give him 5 minutes" and to "take a look around the store" while I waited. I walked around the store for 15 minutes before he brought over the first rough draft which was horrible. I then walked around more as he fixed it and became impatient as it seemed like such a simple task that he was clearly not understanding. Finally, on an 8.5x11 piece of paper he showed me what the 5x7 printed in the middle, but basically what I wanted. He also notified me that it would cost $8 more for him to cut it. I was puzzled why he hadn't printed 2 since they could both fit on a regular size piece of paper. I told him after 45 minutes that I would be across the street at Home Depot. After 20 minutes over there I came back and found that this man was no where to be seen, but his assistant, after ignoring me for quite some time, came over and asked me if I was picking up. I said yes and told her my name, but she called the man on her headset to come and help me (because she couldn't handle ringing me out??) So after waiting he came back to the front and charged me $66 for 50 copies, which I thought was a big overpriced. I brought the menus home and showed them to my boyfriend. We both agreed they were horrible. The were cut completely uneven and he had charged us for 50 8.5x11 pages! Why? Because he was completely incompetent! We decided to bring them back the next day. I didn't even go in the store due to my frustration with the whole situation. But FINALLY my boyfriend dealt with 2 completely competent employees who said our finished product looked awful and said they would redo the entire thing for half the price. They were completely understanding and helpful, which gave me faith this could be done correctly. The next day I got a call from one of the helpful employees (Chi) who said our order was ready to go and I could come pick them up and be refunded half the price. I went in and became instantly upset to see that neither helpful employees were now on duty...it was the assistant girl from my first experience. She gave off a very rude attitude as she found my order and then claimed that I OWED half of our returned order. I explained that I thought we needed to be refunded, but she assured me her fellow employee had explained that we had already been refunded and now I owed $33. She rudely let a customer go ahead of me and then let out impatient noises as I explained that I needed to be REFUNDED, not charged. She had to call over a manager and claimed that she didn't even understand what the whole thing was about. Finally, I got $66 back since she had charged me an extra $33! This whole thing has made me so upset that this business clearly has the wrong people working in the station as the HEAD of the department! These people were rude and incompetent and I will never take my printing or copying business there again! read more

I did not know that Staples policy was to not take back ANY electronic item including monitors after 14 days, but that is what the manager here told me. So now we have a monitor with a warranty good until 2015 and they won't take it back! This is ridiculous! Don't purchase from Staples when other companies stand by the products they sell. I have the receipt, the original box and my staples card with the purchase on it too. We even have the plastic bags the wires came in, and the wrapping for the monitor itself! And they still won't take it back. Any time a company will not stand behind their products there is a something wrong. We have been good customers of Staples, but will not purchase our future electronics from them and I just wanted people to know this 14 day policy of theirs so you have a choice to purchase or not. read more

This review is about the store. I have never used the copy center there. I drive all the way from Medford to Grants Pass to the Staples because of the rude uncaring people at Medford. I think that sums it up. I usually order and have it delivered to avoid the whole thing. But sometimes, I gotta have it "now". Their website is rather archaic so even ordering there is a pain. Anyway - I think the people in the store at Grants pass are certainly much more professional, eager to serve etc than Medford where they all seemed to be p i ssed off all of the time. read more

5 stars when they didn't have what I went for?? Let me tell you about Eddie... he was such a good sport. My friend and I went into the store looking for the Amazon fire stick. We asked Eddie and he said they're over on aisle one we got there and there were none so we were given him a ration of crap and teasing him. He took it so well he just laughed and kept saying he was sorry and so on and so on. We left and went over to Fred Meyer and found them there. DON'T USE THEM FOR COMPUTER REPAIRS! I left my computer there because it blacked out. They assured me it was due to a recent power surge in the area and that they had several others that they'd been able to fix. They knew exactly what to do. When I dropped it off, they confirmed that the memory and data was still on it. Mine, of course, was that ONE that lost everything in the fix. They said they "scrubbed" it for the lost data, but it was completely gone. All that was left was some symbols and code. I asked about the copy that's kept on the hard drive. They said they specifically checked that and it was all gone. Years and years of pictures, videos, data - all gone. And for some reason also, the back-up hadn't worked due to some error. They wanted to restore it to factory settings and load back on Windows for a small fortune. I just took the computer as it was. On a whim, I took it to a real computer technician and he was able to get all of my "lost" data! He was also able to follow the path they'd left on the computer and confirmed that they had NO IDEA what they were doing! I'm so glad I didn't follow their advice and just accept the loss. JUST SPEND THE MONEY AND GET A REAL COMPUTER TECHNICIAN TO HANDLE YOUR COMPUTER ISSUES!! THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED. read more

I went into staples to purchase a Dvi to Dvi computer adapter. The gentleman that came to assist me seemed bored and uninterested in doing his job. He wasn't much help and I was given the wrong item to purchase for $20.99. I went back the next day and exchanged it for a Dvi to dvi monitor cable that cost me another $20.00 on top of the original $20.99. Really? $40.99 for a monitor cable? My BFF insisted I return it. and we found a gold plated (ie. better quality one) for $8.99. The problem is I used my Debit card to purchase the cable at Staples, so when I returned it the cashier insisted she credit my card. I am still waiting for the credit to be returned, and it has been 3 days. I know that doesn't sound like a long time to wait, but after having to make two trips to the store to get the correct part and to find out I was to grossly over charged, 3 days seems like forever when they took my money quickly enough. I want my hard earned money back and I will never shop at Staples again. read more
