I wanted to write a review about Lynn and the employees here. This place is so professional, and everyone is always so kind and helpful--especially Lynn. She is absolutely a pleasure to work with, whether I'm talking with her on the phone or seeing her in person. She always goes above and beyond to help me get whatever I need mailed to me. She will check my mail, let me know what I've received, and make sure everything is handled smoothly. Lynn really does everything so well and makes the whole process easy. Very rude, no Custer service skills, and DO NOT GO TO DROP OFF A PACKAGE! Guy behind the counter was talking to a lady in a lengthy conversation. Lady went to car because she forgot her credit card. Before he got to the person in front of me I said,"can I just drop this off"? He said, "before you were so rude and cut in front of the person in front of you I was going to address him them you"! As he caught me off guard I was simply there to get in drop a package and get out as this is COVID chaos. I said, "never mind. I'll take my business somewhere else". As I walked to the door he said,"yes please do"! No multitasking skills, zero customer service, has no empathy over people who do not want to stand during a pandemic, no drop off section must stand in line for a guy to say drop it on the counter. I will not return to this store and I will be sharing to all my friends to not go to this location. read more

Unprofessional, disorganized, poor customer service. I shipped a family heirloom through this Medford UPS store (the one at 711 Medford Center, not the other ones). The clerk, Maya, was cheerful, but extremely silly and distracted, telling me how happy she was to be 21 years old as she rattled off rhyming phrases. While chattering, Maya input the wrong address on my package, which was sent across the country and misdelivered to a stranger the wrong street (who was kind enough to phone me and let me know). Instead of being redirected to me, less than a mile away, or being held at the distribution center for me to pick up, the package was returned to UPS Store 1239 in Medford. When I heard this, I called and spoke to the owner, Ryan Olsen, who made no attempt to apologize for the lack of care and professionalism, my inconvenience, or my family heirloom being irretrievable for an additional time. I waited 10 days for the package to be returned to the Medford UPS store, and the owner, Ryan Olsen, assured me that he would ship it back to me overnight when it arrived back to him. (I had to ask for this accommodation, as none was offered.) Come to find out, Olsen failed to let his store manager know (this is an extremely small business, and this should have been standard protocol) about the situation. The package came back to Medford UPS Store #1239, and in fact, was signed for my Ryan Olsen himself. Despite Mr. Olsen's assurances, my package somehow sat in the store for two days, and was sent back out to me (I hope, with the correct address this time) via 3-day delivery at the direction of the store manager. I paid nearly $70 for the privilege of this abysmal customer service experience. No one has attempted to contact me since I spoke to Olsen on 09/07 (the day of the original misdelivery) make this situation right, despite that Olsen begrudgingly promised me a phone call when he received the package back, and overnighted it back out to me. Mr. Olsen did not take steps to to ensure that his promise to overnight the package back to me was honored by his staff. His personal signature for receipt of the package, and failure to make this right, and lack of interest in even saying, "This shouldn't have happened; I'm sorry," speaks volumes. I wish that I had not entrusted this important shipment to the Medford Center UPS Store. Take your business to the other Medford UPS stores on Center Drive and Delta Waters. I wish I had looked up all of my Medford shipping options first: I see that the other stores have 5 and 4 stars in their reviews, respectively, and there were a lot of red flags in this store's reviews. Run, don't walk, away from UPS Store #1239. If zero stars were an option, that would have been my rating. read more

When I went into this store over a week ago, Maya helped me out. She always has a happy disposition. Service was fast, and I was happy. That is, until I realized that I paid almost $30 for shipping on an item that cost me $90, and I have no idea when or IF it will show up at my sisters house. I was never given options for how to send it, I was never offered insurance, and when the tracking number showed nothing, Maya told me that it was the couriers choice to decide wether to register my tracking number, and that all we could do at this point is hope it makes it there. In the future may I kindly suggest that the customer be told all of their options and what those options entail? I will never do business at this store because of this frustrating experience. read more

Today I found not only that, but a caring heart as well. After a very difficult day with of lots of packing and moving and sending, Maya was able to help me with a special request. On 8/15 I went to this store with a friend to return an Amazon item. She had the printed label and return code with the option of dropping off the item without boxing it at home first---------instructions:You can also drop your items at The UPS Store. When selecting the method for returning your Amazon purchase, choose The UPS Store Dropoff. You don't need to have your items boxed or labeled with this method. Instead, The UPS Store will pack, label and ship your return for free.-------- So we waited in line until "Linda" called her to the counter and without even a hello she said "you'll have to box this or pay for one", my friend showed her the instructions and Linda said "we don't do that you'll have to pay for a box" and walked away, she was over on the side doing other tasks???, so finally when she came back my friend said ok and gave her the credit card for the $7 box fee. Now I don't mind the paying for a box or service but this woman was SO RUDDDDDDDDE and condescending to my friend who is very easy going so I asked "Linda" "why do I usually drop things off without a box fee and now my friend is being charged?" "Linda" walked over to me and in a rude tone said "it doesn't matter, we're short on boxes so I'm charging her, that's our policy". I said "WHY are you raising your voice and being so rude, we're just asking why the fee since we have never been charged before, if the policy has changed you can at least explain it NICELY" and I told my friend to just cancel the transaction and not sign the credit card slip that we would at least go somewhere that has polite customer service and "Linda" said "too bad, she can't I already ran it so it's paid for now". THEN she walked over to me smiling and showed me the slip!!!!! THIS WOMAN HAS NO BUSINESS DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS, SHE IS RUDE AND MAKES PEOPLE FEEL UNWELCOME AT THIS BUSINESS. On October 18th, my almost 81-year-old mom and my sister visited this location. They were transporting a family heirloom from Medford to Alaska. They were helped by someone named Maya. I am unaware of what transpired with their visit accept that they were charged $370 for a 15lb. box to go to Alaska. I was told by another UPS store that because of insurance, it had to be packed a certain way which required a box that could hold up to 83lbs. That does seem excessive in price to me. But, the real issue was that it was dropped off on September 18th and disappeared. My mom and two of my sisters each made an inquiry into where the package had gone. On each occasion, they were told that the issue would be looked into and someone would call them back. They never called back. Then, when I went down for a visit, I paid the UPS store a visit with my mom. I was told that there was a package at hub without a label on it. I was told by the owner I believe that the label had come off and it was sitting there at this hub. As a shipper myself, I know those labels do not just fall off. They are stuck and if you peel them, they will take off some of the box or paper they are connected to. Second, and the big proof is that the label was made on September 18th, the origin scan happened on the day I went to visit which was October 12th. The origin scan represents that the package has been picked up by the driver. There were not any other origin scans with that tracking number. Where was the package for 22 days? I would never use this place due to their lack of professionalism and how dishonest they appear to be. This particular store does not deserve any stars for how my family was treated!! read more

I place a lot of orders for my business and was having them shipped here because I would get them faster than if they delivered to my house. But half of the time I go in here I'm treated like an inconvenience. It doesn't feel like they are a branch of ups, but instead are required to service ups customers. The last straw was them sending back one of my part orders because it had been there a month. Even though I had stopped in there two to three times last month to pick up my orders, apparently they can't look up my info and place a call. My business can't afford to risk using this store anymore. read more

I frequent the UPS Store at the Medford Center being my place of business is located in the same center-- John L. Scott Real Estate. The service at the location is fantastic. The entire staff is very accommodating and the owner is very kind. The review I just read from the customer stating greed and bad customer service must be a sad angry person looking to cause trouble and or get something for nothing. Sounds like she should take her business elsewhere. I will continue to go there because they are wonderful. Keep up the good work! read more

Methinks not is an understatment. GREED comes to mind. The owner (so he stated) tried to charge me $26 to mail a box to a local address. I had previously paid $17 at the same location to mail the same box with the same weight and same contents. I explained to him that it qualified for media mail and he told me that it did not and he would not mail it media mail because the post office would open it. I took this same box to the post office directly and they charged me $15 and told me that yes, it does qualify for media mail. I called the UPS store to let them know what I had discovered and talked to this young man who claimed he was the owner and remembered me. He told me that it was a matter of opinion on if it could be mailed media and that they had a sur-charge to send it to the post office. I asked him if it was a $10 surcharge and he said "you are being very ignorant". He hung up on me. Here's the reality...this is a box that I mail 52 weeks out of the year. Even if there was a $10 surcharge on this box, that's $520 that he cheated this business out of by calling me ignorant and hanging up on me. He was trying to collect $10 extra due to his GREED and lost a 52 week a year customer. In this economy, I'm shocked that there are still business owners out there like this and that they are not out of business. I'm shocked that people support this business. I will not be one of them. It is ignorance for a small business owner to treat customers the way he treated me for the momentary satisfaction he got out of calling me names and hanging up on me. read more
