Good place to go if you are in urgent need of supplies. However, it's not always easy to find somebody to help. Even the registers get busy and they don't get help right away. The prices are on the high side so next time if I can wait, I'll buy online. read more

This Staples is one of the worst stores in the area. Every time I come into the store, I swear I have to almost set my hair on fire to get somebody to wait on me or help me. On top of that, 50% of the time when I bring documents in to be shredded their bins are full and they're unable to except anymore. What's the point of offering the service if you never have the bins emptied frequently enough to accept more documents? You guys need to get it together. The store in Aliso Viejo is 1000 times better than this one. Maybe they need new management at the Lake Forest store! read more

What Can I say. Not a huge fan of this place, usually go to Office Depot, first time here BUT Copy center workers were so very helpful. Josh was able to help me even if it was super busy. He took the time to help me in the computer when I was having trouble guiding me step by step. This young man was a life saver!!! Not many people do this. Very patient and kind. Ok so the employees at this location are not only, unprofessional and inappropriate, but they are rude and completely out of line. Not to mention wrong about their assumptions. My boyfriend and I came here after having dinner in the same shopping center, it was a "pop our head in" sorta thing, I also have been searching for a pocket size document folder everywhere and figured; if any place would have such a thing it would be staples. So once I'm in the store we were greeted by a younger male. He asked me if I needed help and I said, "sorta, not really actually" and he said ok. So then I'm walking around and I notice that this guy is peeking his head over the aisle at myself and my boyfriend, at first it wasn't a problem but then I realized he's watching us, as if I'm a thief and a red flag or someone who should be followed around like I'm a criminal. He's talking to another employee, saying things like how they need security and if so how they should handle thefts, just joking and laughing but talking just loud enough for my boyfriend and I to hear him, not thinking anything of this, I walk to a different aisle, his coworker says "I don't have time for this shit, following around people. At that moment I realized he was taking about us. The original employee who asked me if I needed help goes to the break room past me and says really loud, THERES CAMERAS EVERYWHERE HERE. As if I had stolen something. After this I looked at my boyfriend and he gave me the look of "yea I know what's going through your head and yea that's what I was feeling" moving on, the manager I'm assuming, asked me if I needed help and I said I was looking for a document folder and he asked what's that? I told him a folder to hold documents: not knowing how to further explain my needs. He said they don't have that kind I wanted and I said ok well I'm just going to browse around anyways; maybe I'll find something I'm interested in. He asked again, ok well can I help you find something, like implying that if he can't help me then I need to leave pretty much, so I said do we have a problem? Am I not aloud to look around? No one ever knows what their talking about so I figured that if he doesn't know what I'm talking about then maybe they have it and he's just not understanding. He realized he offended me I think because he then changed the subject and asked me about the staples credit card; I put my stuff down and said no, you're so rude and couldn't be any more wrong about who you're profiling, you and your employees are discriminating against me for whatever reason. I've never stolen a day in my life and was going to buy something but didn't even want to be in a store where the employees are talking about me and making me so uncomfortable. I literally am so mad. I wish I could know what exactly made me look like I'm a thief or someone who needs to be watched. This place is a joke and your managers need to teach your associates that the things they say are heard by customers and talking about them is horrendous read more

My wife experienced a very unfair treatment last night at Staples To us, it looks like a racial discrimination to Asian customers. She went to Staples (Lake Forest, CA) to print some photos. The staff at print department first asked her to do it on self-service machine. After she found that the machine was not able to provide photo printing,she turned to the staff for help. However, the staff put her on waiting impatiently and worked on other task. My wife thought he might be working on other customer's order which came in ahead of her, so she kept waiting and waiting. During this time, that staff even helped another customer, a white blonde lady,who came in after her and serviced that customer in a much more polite way. My wife became a little unhappy;however, she was still under control. After that staff finished help the customer who came in after her, she asked him politely if he could help her print out the photos because she needed them urgently. Unacceptably, that staff asked my wife, in a very impatient and rude way, to go to Walmart to do the printing because that was cheaper. My wife thought she was treated unfairly and became angry about it. She went to the store manager to complain about what had happened. The store manager helped her on the print but never said a word about any apology. We don't know whether or not because my wife is an Asian that they treated her that way. Any way, we just want to let everyone know about this unhappy experience at Staples (Lake Forest, CA). We will never ever go to that store again. Walmart IS way better. read more

While wandering the store trying to figure out what I needed for a huge document scanning project I needed to do a member helped me get started and when there was a question he could not help me with I was refered to the computer tech who solved my glitches with quick cost effective solutions. Store is well organized and the staff was friendly, though I had to approach them. Wasn't a big issue though. The items on sale here can be the cheapest around but anything not on sale is overpriced. I do like how they always have usb drives and sd cards on sale with plenty of them in stock. The checkout process here has always been quick and painless, which goes a long way in my book. read more

I've made transparency copies here several times with no problems. Yesterday, they had this guy working in the copy section who told me that there is a wait time to have my copies made (it was 3 pages). Because of what he said, i decided to come back the next day. When I got there, he told me the same thing - he doesn't know where the transparency materials are for copying and I should come back at 2:00 pm which would have been 4 hours later. I asked the manager and he, just like the guy at the copiers said essentially that he could not do anything about it. These folks need to learn about good customer service. They did not even put an effort to try and help and it was not a busy time. It's just plain laziness. I went to the one in Aliso Viejo and had no problems. read more

Toshiba Encore Tablet. I had gone to 5 other stores in the area looking for the Tablet. No tablets were available in all the stores. #1. Dennis, the Staples El Toro Store customer service technician checks new inventory each day and he told me it may have just come in the day before. Lucky for me it was the Encore Tablet and he was just the kind of curious technician that also got me excited about the Tablet even more. He took the tablet and checked everything and adjusted the settings, etc. I was so happy as my search for this tablet was successful and just in time for my B-Day present to myself. In addition to Dennis the other female tecknician also helped me with some questions. Store definitely has informed technicians and great customer service. I reccomend this Staples store highly! read more

Today I went into the store to redeem rewards certificates. I purchased printer ink and with John's help they allowed me to redeem additional certificates which was normally not allowed. The reason I am doing the 5 star is because John took the time to not only answer my question about windows 10 but took me to computer table. He walked me through the process of removing the setting that was causing my problem. read more

Be careful when you purchase warranties from this store. In order to be sure you are getting what you asked for, it is better to purchase online. On three different occasions when I asked for the warranty to be added to my purchase the salesperson charged me, but implemented the wrong code. When I had a problem with the product, I was not covered. It happened when I purchased a printer, computer and Laptop. I did not have coverage that I paid for and it just do not seem right. It is better not to even go into this store. I am looking for other options. read more

It appears this Staples is destined to go out of business soon too due to poor management. I shopped there today and the shelves were poorly stocked with limited selection. It was impossible to find someone to assist me. When I went to check out there was only one cashier working and a line of people waiting. I asked if another register could be opened and was told the store was short of staffing. After waiting for 10 minutes in line and the line hardly moving due to an apparent pricing discrepancy at the front of the line, I decided placing an order with another vendor online would be cheaper and less aggravating. I walked out of the store and abandoned my cart with $200 worth of merchandise. read more

I wrote to a Top Exec., at Staples, but, have not heard back. So, in order to send my best congratulations to Alice, at Staples Store #1406, I am leaving an "Atta-girl" for Alice here. I, recently, was responsible for coordinating the printing, and fulfillment processing of a 13 thousand bulk mailing project. As I had no previous experience with bulk mailing, or with a copy center service for printing of this size, I was a bit concerned. Furthermore, I had only (2 1/2) two and half days available to have the printing completed, before the mailing. When I spoke with Alice, in the Copy Center, over the phone, I explained my need for a large, fast turn-around, print job for that weekend. As I explained the parameters of the project, Alice kept saying "Ok," in such as way as, "Ok.... we've Got that." I am so happy to say that Alice's confidence to accomplish the task held true to the end. And, between her hard work setting up my order, and with her Supervisor, Damon, and David's assistance, this print project went off without a hitch!! I cannot tell you how comfortable Alice made me feel. And, that the end result lived up to her Promise is hands down, Most Excellent! Thank you, Alice! You all are the best! read more

Just left this Staples on El Toro and manager was unwilling to help a teacher out. I have spent hundreds if not thousands of dollars of my own money over the years and rely on their willingness to help teachers who go over the 5 item limit at the discounted rate....but not this time. The manager today was unwilling to talk to me or help me. As I left, I saw a huge poster in the window stating that Staples gives over a million dollars to teachers but yet can't bend on this one issue...what a bummer!!!! read more

Needed to get a tax return bound and was told I would have to leave it there for 4 hours. Spoke to the store manager, Will, and explained it was a tax return with confidential information and I could not leave it there and he was no help at all. Went up the street to a Mom & Pop shop (Postal Annex) and he graciously bound my tax return in 5 minutes. Also, while I was at Staples I planned on purchasing office supplies but did so via Amazon Prime and received in 2 hours. Will never step foot in Staples, Lake Forest, CA again. I was actually hesitant to go to this location because of all the negative reviews but it's the closest one to me and I just need an office chair so what could go wrong??? Once I found someone to assist me, I located the chair I wanted and paid the extra $14.99 for the assembly. I went to the store 2.5 hours before closing time but apparently no one wanted to do the assembly or had time so they told me my chair will be ready first thing when they opened. I have to admit that I'm always concerned when I pay for something and leave the The store without it. Plus to make a long story short it was going to be very inconvenient for me to have to come back at 10 o'clock the next morning but The manager assured me it would be ready first thing the next morning. Well it wasn't..... Now I'm talking about a small office chair. I probably could've put it together myself but it was only $14.99 for assembly. It's not even one of the big leather chairs. I'm sure the store is fine as long as you make a purchase and leave the store with your item. But You'll end up being frustrated if you have to rely on their customer service. I went to this store because I needed to scan a receipt to send to my email. It was my first time doing this so I wasn't sure how to begin the process. Santiago was working that department that day. I could tell he was busy with the two customers that were there before me so I stood there and waited my turn. Once he was able to get to me he was very rude. He asked me what I wanted to do and I explained that I needed to scan a receipt to send to my email. He then said I will need a credit card to use the printer/scanner as I reached into my purse to get my wallet he said "I thought you were ready" and walked away. Me still not knowing what the next step was I tried to figure it out on my own. He sees that I'm struggling to do it and yells from across the room "you're doing it wrong. Don't even do it" . He comes over and moves the paper over to how it was supposed to be and walks away again. I ended up figuring it out after that . He needs to work on his communication skills . He was very rude . I will now ask for someone else's help when I need to go back to this store and he is in that department or try to avoid it at all cost. If he would have helped me throughout the process I would have been in and out in 5 minutes. I was there for almost 30 minutes. read more

We had the worst experience in their print & copy center, I had a long wait standing in a long line to pick up an small print order. The female staff couldn't find the order of the customer ahead of me and sent him away and she tried to do the same to me but I didn't step aside, instead, I told her that's my turn then she needed to serve me. I was 200% sure that the order was there because I sent orders there all the time,. she tried to blame me for holding up the line, and I told her, it was her doing just that, not me. She soon got help & found my order. I complained to the so called Store manager, that guy defended his staff in a big way, the customers were so at fault to pour in non-stop. There's nobody back up the service and he had nothing to improve the situation. I ended up sending the complain to the Corporate office but it was just like the black hole, hasn't heard from anybody from them. After the Foothill Ranch closed down, I happened to go in this location a couple of times, I did not find neither that female staff or the manager, not knowing their where-about. I just don't are. However, I recently heard of some missing rebates from my associates, and unfortunately, I just found out it just happened to me as well. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

Getting 1 star because I cannot give 0 stars. I went on to have business cards done. Josh, who is the most USELESS excuse for an employee, while helping me, went off on his break. There were others in line. I showed him EXACTLY how the card needed to be done. Fifty minutes later, after explaining and showing him how the card was to look, he had me type in the info. I told him I needed the font & color changed and he said it couldn't be done. Long story short, he said he'd have the order rushes and ready by 4 the next day. I showed up at 4:45, cards were set to be ready by 7pm, no rush. Christian, the general manager, helped me, but it got worse today, when I sent Christian an email, which Josh opened, called me, & when I told him it was between me and Christian, he was rude & hung up. I've written a letter to Staples Corporate office. This is the absolute WORST place to get your printing done. I hope Josh is fired soon. What a complete and utter waste of human life! read more
