This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had at a Staples, and unbelievably it came from the manager, Roy. My girlfriend had been waiting on me in her bathroom and I had been in the restroom for a while dealing with my bowel movement issues -- something no customer should have to justify. When we came out, Roy immediately approached us in a hostile, confrontational manner and snapped, "What do y'all need?" When I questioned why he was being so rude, his explanation was that "homeless people come and steal." So what does that mean? Was he implying we were homeless? Accusing us of stealing? Either way, it was completely inappropriate and insulting. A manager should know how to handle customers with basic respect, not make assumptions or treat people with hostility. Roys attitude was unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for someone in a leadership position. This is genuinely one of the first times I've ever been treated like this by a manager in any store. The lack of professionalism and the assumptions he made were unacceptable. I will be contacting corporate next, because behavior like this should not be tolerated -- especially from someone in a leadership position. read more

Just went into the Manchester Staples to do an Amazon return. Had done one awhile ago and it went fine. This one went bad really fast. Staples associate(think he was the manager) was super rude and condescending. Apparently I wasn't following procedure (I had 5 items)Well just tell me how you want to do it dude IN A PLEASANT WAY. I was printing from my USB as I've done for years. I put in my own pink paper that I bought at Staples and the associate behind the copy service counter yelled at me Mam can I help you ? I didn't hear her as I was at self service and didn't need any help as I've done for years at this location. The associate then proceeded to yell at me from across the room "you can't put your own paper in there it's not allowed, you can come here and you can wait for it we can do it behind the counter," I said, "no one has ever said that to me before and I've been coming here for years. Mind you I have time to wait. The associate then yelled at me "why do people always argue with me?" Then the manager who was by that time right next to me, said to the associate "it's ok, she's just putting in her own paper," By this point I took the pink paper out. Then the associate and manager convened and the manager came over and touched all my stuff including the pink paper I just took out of the machine. I said I will honor your request but I will never come here again. On my way out I told the manager behind the check out counter in a soft voice "she should not be allowed to yell at customers like that" The manager said "I know I'm taking her off the floor to speak with her." Lost a long time customer at this locations. Other locations never give me shit and in fact I save them time when they are backed up and in a hurry and I save me stress. This staples location added to my stress today ... never again and corporate will hear about it! read more

I called the copycenter asking g for info as I had a 2'x3' poster I wanted printed for my mom's 100th bday party. Ollie (the print center mgr) answered the phone. He answered all my questions s and was very professional and personable. I told him the deadline I was under, etc. And he informed me as to what I needed to do for them to get the job done. When I got to the store a couple of days later, he remembered my story. He checked the .pdf file I gave him on a thumb drive and answered all my questions. He told me he'd have it ready by the next day. Low & behold, a few hours later, I got a call that my poster was ready. I rushed to the store to pick it up and was dumbfounded how beautiful it was. The quality was amazing. I was so happy with the resul that I started crying. Great service and great results! read more

Ollie in printing was AMAZING. So personable and easy to talk to. He was very helpful while I was trying to print my wedding invites on velum paper that was very tricky. He kept trying and made sure we figured it all out. I am a teacher and he even set me up with the school give back program AND gave me some money to use in the store! I go to get copies made, the women behind the counter Quin directs me to the self service. When i tell her, i am looking for the copy services and did not want to do it myself. She mumbles to me that there is a charge to get it done quicker and that they are busy. Every reason not to do the job versus giving customer service options. HP web page states: SHUT OFF (printers) BEFORE UNPLUGGING. The reason may be due to smart chips installed in ink cartridges, and communication between chips, printheads and the motherboard. The manager accepted my request for help - to bring my HP printer 8710 all in one, into the store; the new inks would not slide in. He saw the ink was the wrong #. I walked to the ink wall, picked out the correct #, paid for them and back to the tech desk where I put them in. The printer acknowledged they were correct. The manager was standing near checkout so I told the tech I would be leaving, I'd already paid for the ink and he reached over and pulled my plug from his wall without shutting the unit off. I did not know at the time, this was going to be an issue! Back in the office, the unit would not recognize 2 of 4 cartridges. Upon troubleshooting Fri-Sat-Sun, HP's final statement was that the printhead had to be replaced; it no longer recognized the 2 inks. In explaining the situation to Staples' store mgr, he basically shrugged his shoulders. Staples LiveChat #1 offered a new printhead but while looking it up, we were disconnected; his message said, call back. #2 listened to the same scenario and said someone would call me or I could call an 800#. They did not offer the printhead. The 800# said, sorry - call HP's 800# X7, they had no obligation, we were 10 days out of warranty and refused to acknowledge the tech error. We never leave our customers in the cold like that. When one of our guys has fouled something up (rare) we make the customer whole, we make it right, and we have a 30+ year reputation of honesty and integrity because of it. Staples is so large now, that has gone by the wayside. I'm not a happy customer. Best Buy has printers as does Walmart - I can go elsewhere for anything Staples has to offer. Why the one star? Because I had work to do Saturday morning and all day Monday that could not be done without that unit. read more

Good price on a lot of office supplies. But $60 for a 3-pack color XXL Brother ink when online it's $43??? I won't be back if I need ink...

With my job I have to use Staples a lot and I have to go to many locations, even different states! Out of all the staples I visit this location is my favorite. The staff at the copy print center are always willing to help and my orders are always ready. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there have been many occasions that their color copier was down, but the staff was always willing to print my copies when this happened it would just take longer depending on how busy it was. read more

Great store. Very helpful staff overall (one guy in the computer section is a bit of a jerk though, he is pushy and arrogant). Actually, avoid the print section too, there is a really angry, rude woman who works in that department. The rest of the departments have great staff though. Friendly cashiers, great managers and supervisors. Overall it has good customer service (Minus that one computer dept guy and the print section). read more

If I could give 0 stars for this place I would. All I needed was a photo from my email to be printed on photo paper, and it took FOREVER, even once there was no one in line in front of me. And there were THREE staff members right there by the counter, and not one of them made any effort to update me on the status, whether they had received my email, or anything. Instead they hung around having random conversations. I finally just walked out and won't be back in a Staples ever again, and I don't recommend it to anyone. And this isn't even the first time this Staples has made me incredibly late for something because of something like this. read more

Pitiful again. They screwed me over several Christmas's ago and I vowed to never go there again. However, today we went in to look for safes. Found a couple Sentry Safes. BTW, Not once did anyone ask if we needed help, even though a employee walked by us several times. We took notes and left. Went to Home Depot to see what they had. Home Depot was selling the EXACT same safe for $230 dollars less. EXACT SAME safe. For another 40.00 we could have bought two at Home Depot. WTF Staples. Just renewed my vow to never shop there. read more
