I ordered two hand cleaners for pickup at this store. Got order confirmation and pickup email. Received notification from my credit card company that two pieces were billed. Arrived at store but only one piece in my order. I asked for the second bottle of hand cleaner. The cashier went away to inquire with someone else. He returned with an unknown lady who immediatly got nasty saying I did not order two items. I showed her the original order and the pickup ready notice. She told me the Bill of Lading in her hand was the actual order and it said 1 piece ordered. I went to this store trying to be a good customer. I asked the original cashier (AJ) to explain what were the circumstances that led to this point. The second employee (lady) started yelling at the first employee (AJ) and told him to the leave the area. I asked the second employee her name and position and she got even more evasive ut argumentative. I asked if I could photograph her nametag so I could identify her as I wanted to be able to recall later. This caused a third staples employee (leaving to go home) to join in and start yelling. The second employee later identified as Abir kept bullying me to accept the incorrect order or cancel it because it is not her fault that Staples cannot fulfill online orders. She said it is a different company division and cannot do anything except cancel my order. At this point I turned my phone on record to capture the conversation accurately. I telephoned Staples Canada from the Heartland store to find out what is the status now? The customer service for Staples Canada seems to be in Morocco (Tangiers) and they promised to escalate my complaint to a Manager for resolution. I also promised to raise my complaint through Yelp, Reddit, and all forms of social media so that the customer experience improves up to the level of common courtesy for Staples Canada store #38. No customer (or employee) should be exposed to this level of bullying or misinformation. We all make mistakes, how you hande it makes you a leader. read more

Reviewing a chain shop like this, especially a big box chain shop, makes me wonder if I should be using a template of some kind. The stock will be mostly the same from store to store, the staff turns over with a certain regularity so you might have a good person helping you, and you might. You might find a really good value, you might pay more than you'd pay somewhere else. You might lose your soul, you might find redemption. On the plus side, they have a great selection of printer cartridges. read more

This is a typical big box store located in the Heartland area of Mississauga. The store is well laid out and it is quite easy to find what you are looking for. I occasionally pop in when I am in the area to look for clearance deals which can be excellent finds. read more

Horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE customer service!! I cannot stress how poor the customer service is at this location. I feel like repeating the word horrible three times isn't enough, so I've compiled a brief list of synonyms: - Disappointed - Irritated - Annoyed - Disaster-struck - Waste of time - Bad experience All those words describe how I felt after leaving this store. I decided to "quickly" stop by Staples on my lunch break to pick up a few back-to-school supplies for the upcoming semester. Upon entering the store I could not find what I was looking for, so after 5-10 minutes of awkward walking up and down the aisles I finally found someone. Luckily the one guy working there (not the manager because he had no idea) was able to help me find what I was looking for. Then I get to the cash register and I mention that I received a flyer which said something along the lines of: Show your student ID and receive 10% off your purchase. I thought perfect, I need to save every penny I can but the woman at the cash register had no idea what I was talking about. So the store manager comes and my transaction gets put on hold. After 10-15 minutes of waiting at the register while other people are being served the manager tells me that he can't find the coupon online. I was like "well it's not a coupon, it's a flyer. The flyer says that all I need to do is show my student ID". But he would not give me the 10% student discount. He wasn't even able to offer me any compensation whatsoever. There was apparently nothing he could do. WTF? How can Staples be offering promotions and the people working the stores have no idea? Whatever, if they were at least nice to me I would have purchased my supplies regardless but the manager was so friggin rude. I left the store pissed off and without buying anything. They just lost a purchase and a customer. I am never going back to that particular location again. I recommend going somewhere else to buy your supplies unless you are okay with being treated poorly and don't care about having your time wasted. read more

As a customer who didn't even step foot into this store, this review may be unfair. However, it is just based on good ol' customer service, i.e. picking up the damn phone!!! This is not my first experience with none of their sales reps picking up the phone. This applies to their Heartland location as well as their Burnhamthorpe/Dundas one as well. Heartland is NOT close to me, so from time to time, I will have to physically speak to someone to see if they have a particular item, before I hop in my car! After my call was unanswered, I didn't even bother giving them my business. Usually, when I'm there, the customer service is OK. There are usually only a handful of customers - if that. So I really don't understand why NO ONE picks up the phone, even if it's the supervisor or cashier who probably has no one in her line. I could not agree more with my fellow Yelper Vlad S. The service is horrible except there is one customer service rep named JOLENE, who is absolutely amazing, and tries her level best to help customers; she usually works at the printing/copying department or the till Let me elaborate a little, I was there to do some self copying, so I walk in there was this lady working at the Printing department on 26-09-2014, 8AM shift, I say good morning, she says nothing, so I asked if she could check my balance on my staples card, she stated, very rudely you can check at the machine, In my head I am like I know that but if I am at zero balance than I have to go back to the counter and wait for her or stand in line. anyway so I try to check my balance at the copier, it says something along the "cannot give reading or something", So I go back and of course I have to stand in line now, she finishes with up a customer, and then goes back to other side, seeing that I was standing there, So I was like excuse me the machine is not giving out any reading. She "Rolls her eyes " comes to the counter and says maybe the machines are not turned on, still would not check at the counter. walked me down with her turned all the machine on, she forgot to turn them on before,( no sorry or anything ) tells me I have like $3.00 bucks, So I am like oh that's enough for the job I have to do thank you. After doing couple I realized I needed to do copy of multiple sets, I knew it was possible, but just did not know how to feed the machine so it will copy sets or you, I . So I went back to her said, could please tell me how can do multiple sets, she goes "just put it in" so I was like i did and it just printed blanks, she literally "Rolls her eyes again" So I was like I really don't know that's why I am asking you, you can just tell me how, you don't have to show me, so she says follow the arrow on the machine. I figured it out, then of course I got stuck doing Ids both side on the same page, So then Thank god I saw Jolene working at the cash, I was like could please help me, the lady at the printing department is getting irritated if i ask her a question, Now Jolene asked, what are you trying to do, after telling her, she came out of the register area, walked with me, set it up for, showed me what to do if it resets, and did the first copy for me. I was like Wow! now that's service. SO I GIVE HER 5 STARS It was like Night and day, I really appropriated her help , I shook her hands and thanked her, and also she had helped me numerous times before as well, when she does work at the printing department PS. I know I was at the self serve deparment, and to be honest I wouldn't mind paying them so do my work, but do a print a page from a USB drive the ask for an hour for full service. I bought a online key board for my tablet, but it was not compatible with my tablet, I went to return to the store at Mavis/Britannia, the Manager Pinkesh Pandya refused to take the product back just because I did not have the original packing and give me a number to escalate other words do whatever I want to. I called a number and explained the situation, there was a lady Diane who reimbursed the money and told me that I do not have to return the product. There are some wonderful person who are so helpful. She earned my business forever.
