To be clear this is less about the Staples itself but more about the TSA PreCheck facility. I had 2 appointments and both were cancelled after I showed up for "technical difficulties". Just got back from trying again and yet again all appointments were cancelled. This has been going on for almost a month now. Basically any activity involving Passports or TSA or TWIC are not actively supported at this location and clearly no one is concerned about getting the facility up to speed. Avoid at all costs if you are looking for this particular service. read more

In town from NC visiting family in Boston. My challenge was to ship this Patriots corn hole game back to my NC home. 1st stop post office to see if they had a box big enough. No go. The post master suggested Staples. Thankful he did. We went to this Staples. Jackpot. The manager Daniel was helpful and amazing. He helped me select the correct items for packaging since they didn't have a box it would fit into. Daniel then proceeded to wrap the corn hole game like a pro. Not sure why the rating for this location is so low. Maybe it was before Daniel. Thanks again!!! My package reached as promised in great condition. We had a TSA appt scheduled for this morning. We arrived 10 minutes early. The employee working said the person who manages the TSA appointments was running late. We waited 25 minutes then find out the person called out sick. This was a complete waste of time from start to finish. We drove 20 minutes to get there, waited another 25 minutes to find out the employee called out and there are no other staff members trained in this area. Why is this person the only option and why can't management communicate to the line of people waiting what is going on? I understand sickness happens but there should be a back up alternative and if there isn't someone should be communicating what happened with potential reschedule options. Poor customer service and communication. Take your business elsewhere. read more

*BEWARE* This store notoriously overcharges everyone. I went in three times over the course of one week. The first time they rang up the same item multiple times and overcharged me 10$. I went back in the store for a refund. The second time, as I was checking out, the person in front of me in line was saying he was overcharged for 20$ (One item, rung up multiple times) they refunded him. This is the point at which it became sketchy to me. The third time- they overcharged me 13$ ringing up the same pack of pens three times. I had to go back in for a refund Be careful. I went there with 5 certificates to be copied. The lady said that it won't be ready on spot and took my phone to call me later on to pick the copies. She attached a sticky note to each certificate with my info at the number of copies needed. Late afternoon called to check on the order- not ready! It was ready only on the following day in the afternoon (no one called me either), When checked the copies it was at home. Unfortunately for me since the made the wrong copy with the wrong size! I had to go back for the third time to get it right, The only reason I don't give them a one star is that the fixed their mistake on the spot without extra- charge. read more

Well, the other one was a special case since it is a smaller one This one, I am reviewing for one reason. COPYING! Yes, I shop there a TON for work ($500-$1000/month in supplies) But that was not what impressed me What impressed me was the copy department So I had to make educational binders. I was L-A-Z-Y. My administrator was out sick. We needed them done quick (10 binders, color, collated, separated, 250 pages each, color covers, etc) I went to Staples. I brought the one I had. I picked out 10 2" binders. I dropped everything off at the counter. They said they would call me in two days. Ok that seemed fair That afternoon, they called me ALL SET! WHAT??! SERIOUSLY??! super fast! I got down there. Picked them up $130 for everything. AWESOME! (ok, that may seem a lot, but consider. 10 binders were like $7 each, plus dividers, plus about 5 reams of paper + labor). All were assembled perfectly. All were copied perfectly. In the right order, with dividers, in color, and READY to go! If you dont have the time , staff, or desire to do high volume jobs, GO THERE. they can do anything. they can make posters (I have had them do it), they can copy, they can design, and they have a GREAT staff that smiles and wants to help! read more

Their rewards program is bogus!!! I recycled 4 toner cartridges on December 7th. When I tried to use those reward points later in the month to purchase something else I was told it could be only be used on toner. Today, I was told it could be used on any purchase. Someone's lying! Then I purchased toner today, I was told I couldn't use the rewards because I had to purchase toner within 6 months BEFORE I recycled toner. It doesn't seem to matter that I didn't need toner because I had bought a new printer. The salesperson in the store was not really helpful but gave me a number to call...I called and got absolutely nowhere. The 2 people I spoke to were more than happy to argue with me regarding this. Store is in good shape and everything is easy to find. But every time I go to the printing section the employees are always complaining how they can't wait to leave and to not answer any phone calls for the rest of the night. Phone was ringing off the hook at it was 8:30pm. Where is the customer service? They rushed me to do my print job and on top of it they made it the wrong size. I'm very upset and probably wont even come back here because this is the 2nd time this has happened to me. And they don't seem to happy to help people. Attempted to fax a couple of documents. Absurd pricing. $1.79 per page is ridiculous over pricing. They have a credit card machine. I put 3 documents in fax. Only 2 went through. Their machine is not up to the task. An office supply store with a lousy fax machine? When I received my credit card bill, I was also charged an extra dollar for use. Nowhere was this stated. No employee asked if I needed assistance. Glazed eyes walking by, or sitting doing nothing. Overpriced envelopes, staplers. Hope they close soon. read more

This location is approximately a mile from me, so it is very convenient, but if that wasn't the case, I would probably not be back to this particular location. Said that, I will probably be back because it is the closest place to get the things they sell, especially as a teacher. The location is not terrible. It's right at the corner of Route one in a small plaza, so the parking is fairly plentiful. The employees seem like decent people here. I have nothing particularly wonderful to say, but I don't have anything particularly Negative to say either. I suppose my experiences here have been fairly neutral. One observation I have is that since I have been coming here for about six months, they always seem to be under renovation. There always seems to be something going on, which affects the normal traffic pattern in the store. As a result, things seem a bit disorganized, and simple items that should be in stock at all times just aren't. That can be frustrating at times. They also don't have much in the way of office furniture, especially set up in the store to look at and try out. I was fairly surprised at that, as that seems to be something that all these stores have. Overall, there's nothing terrible about this store, but if you were looking for bigger, more organized stores, there are other stationary/office type stores all within several miles right on route one. read more

Worst customer service around. I was ignored by the photo dept employees who were to busy on their phones to assist. They kept looking at each other to decide who would get up and help. When one finally did, he was a rude as rude can be! I spoke to a manager on my way out who was also busy just talking to another employee... he was even more rude. One of the better Staples stores. I haven't EVER had a problem here, and really like the way this store has been remodeled, so I won't be taking off any stars, even though there is one issue here. Probably more of a problem that can ONLY be fixed at Staples Corporate in Framingham, yet my receipt continues to read "990 Providence Highway, Norwood MA 02062". IT'S 991 PROVIDENCE HIGHWAY! AND it isn't fixed! Ugh. So in this case, I will continue to like the Dedham Staples more, hopefully it will be fixed soon! Anyway, for the actual store, this store used to be huge and not as clean as other Office Supply stores. Now, the selection (and this is for all Staples stores) has gotten split into half, just the like the store. This store used to be huge, but then they had to make space for the Indian Market next door, so the store is much smaller now. Yet, they remodeled the store to carry more electronics, and still carry the same amount of office supplies, and got rid of more & more of the furniture the store once had. I actually like the remodel, and think it is a much more modern shopping experience, and less searching for items that could have been anywhere in the store. The staff have always been very helpful, and very friendly, and always have enough registers open at checkout which I appreciate. I have also NEVER had an issue with a return here, the staff are very knowledgeable and efficient, with returns with or without your receipt. Overall, your shopping experience WILL be great, the staff are great and the store is really great. For those few items that you can't find here (as well as furniture), there is a Staples down the street in Dedham, as well as Office Max / Depot up the street in Walpole. Worst customer service ever. I called to ask for a specific product, which they had. I went in to buy the item and when I got to the register it rang up wrong. Told the cashier, who by the way was amazingly nice. Brought the sign up to show him it was $59.99, but it rang up $99.99. He git a young lady to walk me back and confirmed the $59.99 price. But when the manager came over he said it was the wrong item and a customer mustve put the item in the wrong spot. I said there were a handful of the product displayed with the sign. The manager on duty said the sign was wrong. When I asked for the correct product for $59.99 they said they were sold out. Manager gave me some bs about not being able to adjust the price of an item. read more

This location is well stocked, but they should give out an additional pen everytime you go there because of their relentless up-sell attempts, reward cards, discount cards, equipment insurance plans, etc, etc, etc, A two minute check out takes 7-8 minutes. The copy and print center team is fantastic - I've used them for several types of projects both copy and print for business, and the quality and attention to detail and customer service is stellar. We had one print run that wasn't the right color and they worked with us and helped us get the final version that was up to our expectations in record time. This review is for Staples corporate, the store staff have been nothing but nice. The easy rewards program is the most BS policy I have ever experienced. First of all there is a "sale price" listed for an item but you actually have to pay full price and get a receipt a mile long that you have to send in to corporate in order to get a credit card (in 6-8 weeks) with your "easy" rewards on it. Then by the time you go in to spend the credit card, it has expired and there's just nothing they can do about it. All this BS over $5! I am so annoyed by the whole thing I will not be shopping there anymore. At least Amazon doesn't make me run through hoops for a sale price. Your marketing scheme sucks! read more

My print project was completed in a timely manner, however I was waiting in line at the copy and print station for roughly 20 minutes, not because it was particularly busy, but because the staff working were unbearably slow. I then waited another ten minutes to pay because the information for my order was somehow lost. The person assisting me did not seem to know what she was doing and the other staff member there was slowly helping other customers. I love Staples and their print services, but I will not be going back to this particular store. read more
