I am still fuming ... pi_ _ ed off if you will. First, I will admit that I am a little bit over 50 so in person service especially related to technology is always my preference even though I am still able to work my way through my I-Pad, my notebook, and my smart phone (Yes, I have all three so I work both in the Windows world and the world of Apple as well.). I am here in Delaware and have an important work project that needs to be printed. I saved the project as a WORD document but felt that since there was a Staples store within 5 minutes of my location that I would go there to ensure faster service. I really needed this print job completed by midday tomorrow. The Staples location near my home has always been really great about working with me on various projects always providing excellent customer service. So, I walk into this "attractive Staples" store and smiled noticing that in the print shop there were no customers and three employees just hanging out. One was leaning against the counter playing on his cell phone. It was BINGO ... I won't have to wait to get this project taken care of. As I stepped into the PRINT SHOP section a young man literally sauntered up to me. It was almost as if he was demonstrating what the COOL in a COOL walk is. There was no smile ... there was no "Welcome to Staples" ... but I was still hopeful as I pulled out my I-Pad to show him my project. THREE PRINT SHOP EMPLOYEES ... maybe FOUR ... all standing around ... no customers other than 'moi.' And, I tell Mr. OH SO COOL ... I have a work project that needs to get printed. His first words ... did you go online? DID I GO ONLINE ... NO, I am in your store to get your help to get my project printed HE _ L NO ... I didn't go online. Actually I didn't say that to him but I pled innocence saying I have my document here can we upload it to get it printed. His words ... you need to go home and upload your file or put it on a thumb drive (He may have used a different term but by now I am thinking about the middle finger that he is clearly invisibly pointing at me. Mr. Cool is now Mr. Annoyed with the old man who expects him to do something.). I then asked, when would it be printed ... late tomorrow afternoon ... no earlier than 24 hours from the moment you upload it. Perhaps the steam was rising from my brow by this time as he turned and walked away from me after saying 'ok' as in the conceptual process that I understood that he would even consider uploading it in the store for me or helping me if I needed assistance. Realizing that I was going to head home tomorrow ... and that there are other options ... I went to my temporary residence and clicked on FedExpress's KINKO site. I will be picking up my project on the drive back in the middle of the day tomorrow ... not 24 hours from the moment I hit send. I should have read the other reviews of this STAPLES store ... it seems like the lack of service or rather the disservice I received is a constant at this location. I feel for my fellow older folks who might need assistance ... my suggestion go elsewhere. read more

I dropped something for Amazon and got what I thought was a coupon for right then. I asked the guy at the register and he said oh no you have to sign up on the app first. But he didn't tell me as I couldn't use it right then. He made it sound like I could use it right then, now I have a coupontoo that have expired because your expiration dates are so small. I got a Staples to drop off for Amazon and I might buy a thing or two. I bought more than I would've. If I had known I couldn't use the coupon right then. As a matter of fact, I don't even see the coupon anymore because it was 20% or $20 off of $60 worth of stuff. Not cool. read more

I went to Staples for passport photos. The photos I received were not accepted by the passport agency because they were taken from too far away. Luckily, the passport agency was kind enough to take my picture right there on the spot or I would not have been able to get my passport and would have missed my upcoming flight. I would not rely on Staples to provide this service if you need it to be done right the first time. (I gave a three-star review because I am not going to rate the whole place on the one sub-standard service.) P.S. My photo was taken by a gentleman on Thursday, July 3rd around 3PM. read more

Awful service! I was told to speak to supervisor Louis. He told me he was busy and sent me to the printing department to speak to supervisor Kelly. Many supervisors but no one wanting to help solve a problem.Kelly was very arrogant and said this is just how it is. This was the perfect way to lose customers. kk read more

The twats could not fix my Dell Optiplex 3010 computer with an orange solid light on my motherboard because they said there's nothing we can do as they told me to go to a god damn computer shop. I am on vacation with my family at Dewey and needed to print something for a state license application. I was able to use the self-service printing kiosk at Staples quickly and easily. They have plexiglass set up between the stations to promote distancing, as well as distancing markers throughout the store. read more

In the past, Staples was the place I would go to make copies. NOT ANYMORE! Besides the fact that their copiers are set to a more expensive paper (24 cents per copy) as the default instead of the "economy" setting (18 cents per copy) and that on any given visit, more than one of their copiers is "Down", it is hard to keep going back when you have to wait for help, and then the help provided doesn't fix the problem. (Paper jam, out of toner, payment pad not working.) Instead you are told to try another machine! I wouldn't mind waiting for help if the help actually helped. The icing on the cake was being charged for incomplete packets because of paper jams. It took multiple tries to get two complete 10-page packets and then I was charged for the two plus two incomplete packets. When I waited on line to ask for a refund I was told they would need my copies. No problem IF the legal documents with personal information were shredded, but NO, they wouldn't shred them, so out I walked paying for incomplete work and poor customer service. I' going to the UPS store less than half a mile away on Rt 24, where there is BETTER service, WORKING machines and all at a LOWER cost. read more

Returning an item with 16 month old daughter on my hip. I proceeded to the costumer service counter. One staff member behind the counter continued to walk off even after a decent amount of eye contact had been made. I remained at the counter for approximately 7-10 minutes with none of the 3 staff behind the counter even acknowledging our presence despite making eye contact. Another few minutes pasted by and a cashier getting ready to go on his lunch break inquired if I had been helped. I explained that no and I simply needed to return one item. The cashier pointed me to a check out and explained that returns can now be made at any register. Five stars for the cashier and no stars for what appeared to be management behind the counter. read more

Tech/Repair Desk is worthless. An 86 year old friend bought an iPad THERE only for us to find out 30 days later that the software was corrupted rendering the iPad inoperable. Not only will they not assist with Apple products they wouldn't even let me plug the iPad into one of their many computers to update the software. My friend does not have a computer so we had to go to a computer cafe to make the update. Just know anything you buy there, you're on your own if a problem pops up. I'd choose zero stars if possible. I have frequented this location and spent a lot of money in this store on various products always receiving subpar service. Elderly cashier was extremely rude today suggested I didn't know how to use the credit card machine time and time over. Saying every insult loud enough for everyone in line to hear.
