Tip: This Staples has a ServiceOntario in the back left corner. I was in the area and saw this Staples. I decided to check it out after having stopped by the McDonald's nearby. I was here on a Saturday at around 1:30 pm. The parking in front of this store was pretty busy. I did manage to find a parking spot steps away from the main entrance and backed into it. This store has two doors. The right door was gated off. Everyone was going in and out of the store through the left door. When I left the store, a bunch of us were politely waiting for a man using a four-wheel walker to get into the store before we all left. It wasn't horrible, but it does make it inconvenient if there's a huge volume of folks. To my surprise, this store had a ServiceOntario location in the back left of the store. I was curious and checked this section out. When I got to ServiceOntario, there was a check-in sign. I then read another sign that said that this centre was at maximum service capacity and there wasn't any check-in available. Bummer if you need services here. I do like that it's open till 9 pm on Saturdays. I ended up getting a black Sharpie. For some reason, I didn't have one at home. The aisle are wide at this store. I had no problem finding what I needed. I did a quick browse around the store. I need to return to this store when I'm not trying to get to a Toronto Marlies afternoon game! I liked the technology section. Printers and Apple products were cool to look at. The displays were enticing. Sadly, I didn't see any major sales happening. I probably didn't see the discount section being here for such a brief period. I headed to the checkout to pay for my marker. I got a nice man who was cheerful and affable. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was seamless. It's a good Staples. It probably has more customers due to ServiceOntario. I look forward to returning to have a more casual, less rushed visit. (145) read more

Christy (Male) was the epitome of quality Customer Service this morning..Saturday 21 September 2024..and yesterday.... He allowed me to charge my Laptop at this location, he checked the charger I was using and recommended and wrote down for me the one I needed with the price. That was yesterday. This morning I went in early . The girls behind the counter were grumpy and sleepy...not into the job at all. One yawned as I was speaking to them and only partially covered her mouth.. .'I need help' yawn finished I get an eyeroll and a Humph... anyway Christy went over and above on both days to assist me,.he was pleasant as well and present in the moment. I haven't had to go to a retailer that sells office supplies, furniture, equipment and copy/print services in a long time. Today, it changed. I completed my homework on staples.ca and located an item, 1 in stock, at this location. The goal to this trip is to pick up a phone answering machine...yes, you're reading this correctly. It's not for me! It's for my elderly parents that live the simple uncomplicated life before cellphones appeared and have dominated our lives since. This answering machine replaces the previous one that finally gave up the ghost after 10+ years of faithful service. This is a large store and it was easy to scan the horizon and head in the right direction. Staff were very helpful. For $29.99...a great deal since it's my gift to my parents...I'm buying an AT&T 1740BK Digital Answering System; message guard memory for power failure (very important), variable playback speed (extremely important because I find many callers talk too fast for me to write something down and I have to keep replaying the same message), and 60 minutes of digital recording time (bonus because my parents get so many calls from duct cleaning telemarketers)! I came here to grab some office type items. I was able to find things easily and even had an associate ask if I needed help. I was cashed out pretty quickly, though there was a tiny bit of waiting. The store was pretty empty otherwise. There's quite a bit of parking and the location is right beside a Laserquest, which kind of made me feel sad about where I was spending my money. Went here to print something. The lady working at the printing section named Sobi was extremely unhelpful, uneducated about their services and rude. I asked if I could borrow a USB to put my files on so I could use the printer. She said they cannot give put their USB and the only way I can do that is if I buy my own........... I asked if there was another option. She said no. You will need to buy your own USB. I mentioned that at another staples they had a system where I sent my file to an email and could access it on the printer. She said that she has never heard of that and that that technology doesnt exist...............??? Then i mentioned the google drive option. She said yes you can use google drive. I go to the printer and realize the technology she said "didnt exist" did. You send your file to a staples email and they send you a code you punch in. As i printed, i overheard 2 people mention how they have to go buy a usb. She is most likely not informing the costumers of the handful of options staple is offering...and that is really unfortunate. read more

I ordered today 12:00 pm online and I choose this store to deliver my items, guess what they suddenly cancelled my order of MSI GF63 two times, I don't know why did that so I contact my banking if something has happened but there's no problem, so I decided to buy online again to try, not to deliver but to pick it up in the store. Then, after two hours of waiting, I got an email from them saying "I can pick up the product" so I went to their store to pick it up. Now, the associate came to gave the product but they stop and they searching for Valid ID, I gave my Permanent Residence Card, they didn't accept the ID because it doesn't have any address in it exactly on that time I still have my mom driver's license so I ask them if can I use my mom's driver license it has my surname on it and also our address but they didn't accept that, I also show my receipt to the Chinese guy it has my address with my name but he didn't accept that, he only wants is valid ID to proof my identity... WHAT?!!! is my receipt not enough? I showed also receipt in the website I log-in and showed it to them but they still didn't accepted those, I DON'T HAVE ANY ID THAT HAS AN ADDRESS, I DON'T HAVE DRIVERS LICENSE, DO YOU WANT ME TO SHOW MY SIN PAPER?, PROOF OF LANDING. What a disappointment. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. This is the first time someone doesn't need receipt even you showed to them it came from the website. DO NOT COME HERE FOR PRINTING! This staples is closest to me and everytime I come here for printing there is an issue. This last time I tried printing at the self serve printers and it wasnt going through. I asked the asian guy behind the counter if he could help me and he said that I was trying to print a smaller sized page (not the standard size) and i can only do that on their computer (that charges you per minute of use). Okay fine. The one at the first printer was $8.81. I asked him if i would be charged for this and he said no. I asked again, "are you sure?". To which he replied "nothing printed. Of course you're not going to be charged". So rude I went to the computer THAT CHARGES YOU and ended up having to pay $26 to print my papers AND they printed on the standard size! I was so annoyed. The next day I checked my credit card because I didn't trust what the guy said and guess what? I was charged for the $8.81 that he so rudely said I would not be and the $26. I went back that day and he said "I have no idea what you're talking about. But I'm not going to argue with you because I for one am not going to complain about $8." EXCUSE ME?? So, last night I went to Staples with a work colleague and we received some very rude treatment from the Staples employee. We walked in to simply send a fax. My colleague had her papers and walked to the fax machine and right away was interrupted by this man who was Asian, average height, black glasses and receding hairline. I wish I got his name. He interrupted us rudely by saying "Ummm that's not gonna work and you're gonna have to make a copy and then fax it." So we went to the fax machine and my colleague put the papers in, and when she hit start the button flashed "Insert card". I haven't been to Staples in a long time so I never heard of the card. I usually just go to the customer service desk and ask them to make copies or fax and I pay right there. So, we asked the same man "What card?" and he's says " A Staples card. Or a credit card. It doesn't take coins!" Ummm...I never thought it took coins so that assumption was not necessary. We inserted the card and it kept popping out saying the card was "damaged". I even turned the card around and tried it another way. I put it in delicately hoping it would just swallow the card but it would accept the card and then shoot it back out with the "damaged" message flashing. So, I ask the irritable representative that we dealt with earlier about why the card is being rejected. He sighs as if he's annoyed and stomps over. It's not as if there was another rep available so I had no choice but to ask him. He takes the card from me and says in a condescending tone "You can't just shove the card in aggressively." Ummmm....excuse me? I say " Uhhh. Yea, I never did put it in aggressively. Were you watching?" and he ignored that question and then went on to say that the instructions are there on the printer and he "doesn't have the time" to show us what to do and walked off. We figured it out on our own and I couldn't wipe the disgusted look off my face until we left the store. read more

They are such a rip off they give you warranty for extra charge and when you go back and use it and it will face up with thousand stupid reason that you cannot use your warranty with your pay hundred dollars for the worst staple location read more

They always seem to have what I'm looking for in stock. The staff is pleasant. Prices are pretty good.
