The staff rep Shagun at the counter helped me to print 2 pages because I couldn't find my Staples Print card and she said it's going to cost 99 cents for the short service and I was happy to pay for it but when I left the store and after checking out my card I was shocked to find out $7.31 was the cost of printing 2 pages instead. They didn't even give me a receipt and I ran back into the store later and spoke to the manager Ari and he was utterly rude and obnoxious trying to justify the ridiculous cost of printing 2 pages and the amount of the time that associate had been spending with me which was less than a minute. It's absolutely a total rip off. I would never ever go back there anymore. read more

I went to Staples today for a specific item and when I got it home, I realized it wasn't the right thing. I was able to return it no problem, even though the package had been opened. They usually have exactly what I'm looking for, but if I can't find something, the staff are always ready to help. Prices are usually competitive, and they often have good sales. I have been shopping here for years. Today I saw a woman bring her dog into the store. I went to the front door to see if there was signage stating the store's policy. On the back of the front door was a sign inviting customers to bring their pets shopping. I have been attacked, and bitten by dogs and they spread allergens that give me eczema. People have legitimate reasons for not wanting to be exposed to dogs. For a business to encourage customers to do so undermines what I consider a mutually respectful social relationship. A store should be a place where everyone can be and feel safe. I left the store without buying anything. I placed an online order for some posters, and then waited, and waited! At the end of the 7th business day, the promised deadline of delivery, the posters were nowhere in sight. I called the store, and this fine gentleman, Shoaib, realizing the delay, printed them in-store in no time. Thank you Shoaib for your great and timely service. I went to Staples looking for a graphic calculator. Before I went, I made sure to set my location to this location to see how many of calculators are supposedly "in-stock" at the time. It said that 6 were in-stock at this location. I call twice, and they did not answer. I called one more time, and they picked up, I asked them if they can hold it for me or if they have any in-store. They responded with "Yes, we do have them". So, I went to the location in hopes of having the calculator but I saw that there were none at all. I had to ask an employee to make sure. I waited 10 minutes for someone to check in the back if they had any, at the time, it didn't seem busy at all. After 20 minutes of being in the store, I got the surprising news (sarcasm) that they didn't have any. I commuted back home with absolutely nothing and wasted an hour of my time there for terrible administration and service. read more

This store is located near Yorkdale on Dufferin Street in a plaza. Ample parking but plaza can get really busy. I like this particular location as is clean and bright with the Copy Centre being very busy. I usually come here for my school supplies as there are more choices available than Wal-mart and I'm able to actually see the product something that I can't do, ordering online. The staff here are always helpful - if you walk in and look like you are in a trance ... or not sure where what you are looking for is/are located, they will immediately approach you and provide assistance. This is a well-run store. The prices are competitive - but for me, the most important piece is that this place provides solid customer service. The items are well-marked and accessible. No long lineups and extra cashiers are brought in as lineups require. Well done, Staples! read more

I've been here several times for their print and copy centre and most recently to buy a new computer chair. The place is a little cluttered, but it was easy enough to find what I needed. I found the chair I wanted, then asked a nice man who tried to sell me on a floor mat and their assembly service. I declined. He told me to pay at the counter, and he would bring the box out to my car. When I was paying, he asked if I wanted to buy warranty. I declined again. A little annoying, but I get that it's their job. At least he wasn't pushy about it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the service here. The print and copy centre has made some mistakes, but they're always happy to correct them right away. It's not the cheapest place to go, but they're open early, even on weekends, which can be a lifesaver at times. read more

This is a cautionary tale of why not to use the printing services. I spoke to an attendant who said if I order online, my order would be ready in 3 or 4 business days. Now, having waited for 10 business days, I tried to contact the store (was re-routed and also hung up on), send 2 emails and still have not heard back a response after 72 hours. I tried using the chat several times too but they are unable to do anything at all (bring up the order) even though that's where we are to report issues. I currently have 5 different tickets open, not one has anyone got back to me. If you're internal and want to check my work, reference Order 'bdb6dd'. You'll see all of this is 100% accurate. Bottom line. Go to an independent print shop, Staples acts very unprofessionally and makes no effort for small orders, it would seem. read more

I put in an order through their website to print documents I needed a quick turnaround on. On the website they stated any orders over $75 would take 24 hours. Since I was tight on time because I needed to get this proposal in and have a courier pick up the documents, I had called them to see if there could be a rush. They said it would be done by 3 pm. I received an email by 12 noon stating the documents were ready to be picked up. They weren't busy when I arrived so maybe that was why the quick turnaround. But I was impressed from beginning to end with the service and would use them again. read more

I made a very positive experience with poster printing here. I ordered a larger print poster and forgot to select the same day option. The posters are printed at a differently location and sent to the selected store. The staff was super helpful and ensured I got my poster on time. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR PRINTING. The print staff here are incredibly rude to their customers and incompetent at their jobs. Not only did the print staff mess up our print jobs several of times on different occasions, they have no respect for the customers. They actually look away when you make eye contact and are waiting for help at the main desk. On one extremely upsetting visit to Staples, one girl snapped at my cousin and told them "don't tell me how to do my job" and even continued to rudely make comments such as "do you want to do this yourself?". When confronting the manager, the issue was poorly resolved. He didn't apologize nor seem to truly care about what shit service we had. Professionals or students, DO NOT GO HERE. You'll only be angry and annoyed at the service and quality of customer service and prints. read more

I just had a very frustrating customer experience with Staples. I ordered a laptop online and had it delivered to this store location for pick up. I was supposed to get notified when the product arrived, but I was not. It was expected to arrive on Friday but I didn't get any call to pick up my package. Today (on Monday) I called the store to see what the issue was. I was told they don't have access to the online files and to call the 1-800 number instead. When I did so, I was informed that my package had, in fact, arrived at the store! And to make matters worse, when I finally got the laptop (after waiting a couple weeks for it), it was not as pictured on the website!! And it was a very crucial difference...originally, the website had 3 views of it: front, side, and back. Based on the side view, I saw it had a CD drive (which was one of my must-haves), so I proceeded to order it. Then the computer comes and there is no CD-drive (and the instruction manual states in fine print that it's only on some models). And when I went back to check the website, the side-view image was no longer there!! I hope this post makes a difference in the way Staples handles online orders, but I will not make this my first choice to shop at anymore. read more
