I know it's a lost art of sorts, but I just enjoy it so, so stationery stores have a soft spot in my heart. And they are a dying breed. So many brick and mortar paper stores are closing up shop. When I moved to Vancouver, I got all my cards at the downtown Papyrus, and I was so very sad when they closed. Enter Mollie's. It's fairly small, but they carry a decent selection of Hallmark and Papyrus greetings cards. They also now are carrying some boxed Christmas cards, too. I liked how they had a good selection of UNICEf boxed holiday cards. (I was a bit dismayed how they didn't have any Hanukkah boxed cards. I saw a bunch of them last time I was at IKEA, as they carry the UNICEF boxed cards - for Christmas and Hanukkah ,both). This store also has cute school/office supplies (novelty erasers and pens and pencils, crayons, paper clips, etc), and some wonderful gift ideas for kids and teens (fun card games, stickers, beautiful artsy jigsaw puzzles, etc.). I also noted that they have a Canada Post counter and mailbox at the back, so you can mail out your cards and packages here (nice! One stop shopping!). and they have a wall section of mailboxes one can presumably rent out. Convenient.

She didn't want to tell me all the other lower tiers of mail forwarding and kept insisting I buy the one year. I decided not to get mail forwarding, and when i tried to get my identity verified she read my mail and said that she "has to contact the sender" and asking me "how am i supposed to do this" like I don't know lady im not the one that works here??? Maybe SCAN THE BARCODE???? Will never come back here again what a nightmare took them 10 minutes to get through one transaction

Alex asked another young man at the cash register if he could help him find the item . Young man said nope I'm out . To which I responded seriously I've been standing here for 5 mins . He said nope I'm on overtime don't get paid for this and turned away from me . I asked for his name and said I would be speaking to his manager. His was response was Harvinder , "PLEASE DO " do you need me to spell that for you ? I said no thanks I was fine . After Alex finished locating the item and helping me . I left the store to find Harvinder parked across from me leaning out his white BMW nodding and laughing . While Alex was extremely courteous and helpful . Harvinder has horrendous customer service skills and attitude and if this is the front end staff you employ . I can't say I will be back . Totally unimpressed .

The staff here is usually pretty attentive, they smile and are courteous. I can usually find someone to help me pretty quick if they're not already around. They are all fairly knowledgeable, I mean it's hard to know it all. The only complains I have is their up-sell tactics for computer electronics can be a bit too much. The other day I bought a printer and the process too much longer because they were trying to convince me to buy Toner, Paper, warranty, and extra protection care. I understand why they ask, but they are quite slow at asking and they follow it up with a lengthy explanation which I didn't need at the time. However overall, I'm pretty happy with this store and I go there often. Staples usually has the best prices and variety of printers compared to other stores.

Their attitude came across as dismissive and self-involved, making the interaction feel unwelcoming and frustrating. Basic courtesy and attentiveness were clearly lacking, which reflected poorly on the store's customer service standards.
