The level of detail and thoroughness when it came to how the spaces were designed really showed Pam and Erwin's level of expertise. Pam and Erwin had our dreams, vision, and best interest in mind. From the initial space planning for the kitchen and master bathroom, the layout of slabs, tile and cabinetry, selection of all the finish materials, colors, fixtures and hardware, they were very professional to work with. Details matter to us, and their attention to detail is apparent in our finished home. They referred excellent vendors and suggested the best, high end and quality finishes and materials. Most importantly, Pam and Erwin's work ethics are unbeatable, and they made sure we got everything we wanted on our checklist. She insisted on working with her 'team'. Mind you this is a former Google employee who has no formal training in design and fewer interpersonal skills. I've had better service at the USPS than with UD. In her response below she attempts to imply UD turned me down. The reality is she forced the issue of working with her contractor. Duh, who is footing the bill here Pamela? My contractor recommended the architect who recommended UD; and you attempt to commandeer the entire process by forcing the removal of the client's contractor? Recommendation: Avoid. Highly inflexible, domineering owner.

We worked with EDR to completely remodel a duplex into a single family home that hadn't been…read moretouched in 60 years. Eddie and Sarmad did a fantastic job in delivering the project. From the start of the design project, they used high quality sub contractors for design, engineering, and all the trades in the house. Fernando, our project manager was incredible. He approached the project with a keen eye for details and took total ownership over the sub contractors. He would stop by almost every night to ensure that the subs were performing their work and not leaving or damaging any other contractors' work. Sarmad is a problem solver. He sees an issue and thinks through how to solve it, then presents clear options to choose from. Throughout the process, we were not surprised by unanticipated expenses - all changes were clearly explained and we had the option to make changes via clear change orders. EDR uses Buildertrend for all program management and billing, which made payments, change approvals, and scheduling tracking seamless. While this sounds like a basic requirement in 2026, not all contractors use these services which just adds friction to the process. We couldn't recommend EDR more for the quality of work on our house, the schedule execution, care for detail, and just taking care of our project. Along the way, we never felt nickel & dimed, and the value of their services definitely exceeded our expectations.

We have done two major remodels with Fred, both on the same house (different sections). The end…read moreresult is more than fantastic ... it is fun to live in and exceeds what we had dreamed of. We worked with Fred in a collaborative mode. In the first remodel, Fred came in with three ideas to address our requests, and then we tweaked (A LOT), stealing from one, changing, adapting. Fred was not so wedded to his own concepts that he wouldn't adapt to ours. The end result was great! The second remodel was even better, because I learned a lot more about what we really wanted than the first time around. With Fred's careful eye for symmetry, the end-product gave us more space, more storage, more volume (yes, volume is hugely important to making a space feel large ... not just square footage). The house is beautiful (part architecture, part excellent materials). We are now selling that house for a premium and moving out of state, planning several more projects. Fred will be involved, if I have anything to say about it.
