Saved a coupon for a smog check for $39.95 to use when I needed to register our truck. When I presented the coupon before service I was told it didn't apply to my truck because it's a "heavy duty " vehicle. It doesn't say that anywhere on the coupon AND the truck is a standard Ford F-150. This is the second time we have had a bait and switch approach from this location. When we asked them to apply the coupon and pointed out that it's a standard truck with actual easier access to serial numbers and the plug to read the smog we were advised that the owner insisted on the higher price despite it not being noted on the coupon. I went for a smog check and registration, I have been going there for 20 years there was always a woman that was professional and respectful. on this day after the smog check was completed I paid $69.95 and when I asked for my registration the tech told me I had to go to to the DMV , t go to this place because of the convenience of getting registration. the tech then said if I wanted my tags I would have to pay $40 additional. I asked where he came up with $40 he pointed to a sign that did not list any $ 40 charge. I then pointed to the sign that showed smog and registration 69.95 what I was charged. I was aware of the coupon for smog only $39.75. the next day I requested a price for smog and registration, I was texted back $79.95. After speaking to 2 different people that dismissed me and hung up on me I finally spoke to someone that said he was a person of power. in the beginning he allowed me to speak but did not answer why I was charged 69.95 for service that cost 39.75 with a coupon or why was quoted 79.95 which is $10 more than the sign quoted. Why was charged $69.95 and they requested $40 additional . I was heated because after speaking to 2 other people that didn't help, now a third person couldn't answer these questions .
