Got a call 5 minutes later with them openly lying to me, claiming they went to Home Depot and they were closed, so now claiming they couldn't complete it that night. Home Depot closes at 10 pm. It is a nationwide chain and even I know this. I asked them which home depot it was and they refused to reply, while I could hear them typing on a laptop (meaning they were not at / had not gone to Home Depot at all. Anyways, point being, they are completely okay lying to their customers, and won't follow through with their work. Just awful to work with.

Got so bad that numbers were exchanged and AJ took 2 days to respond and initiate the project. He responded due to my interior designer having to reach out to him. The communication was abysmal. That should have been my warning. The entertainment was done nicely but I was told they don't do wall paper finishes. The vendor (Ramico construction) at site asked where was my wallpaper or paint and I told him that AJ told me that you do not provide those services but the vendor told me that they do and that's the normal process when setting up the entertainment centers. So now I was lied to by AJ (Amar Construction). Now the bathroom, yes unfortunately I did two projects with this company. They placed the sink and did the plumbing. But when it came to the mirror they stated there wasn't an agreement on electrical wiring, but I know I stated I wanted an LED mirror so I bought one. Thinking it will be done properly, it was hung on 2 small screws in the wall and when I touched the light thinking it would turn on it didn't and started to sway. This can not only break one day by falling as well as my sink but also harm anyone in that bathroom when it does due to poor judgment calls and a lack of attention and awareness. A major safety issue. I asked Ramico to stop hanging the mirror since I wasn't happy with the upcharge price. AJ (Amar construction) took it upon himself and told them to proceed and that he was going to charge me anyways. Excuse me? This displays horrible communication and customer skills. I'm sorry but AJ didn't display any type of professionalism. I could go on and on about this experience. Even the mediation with him, my interior designer and I was unprofessional. I allowed him to speak and didn't interrupt him not once but as soon as it was my turn to speak I was constantly interrupted by AJ (Amar Construction) But I will end off with PASS HIM UP!!! This is very important to me and our company, as we are not local to the property we needed his assistance with. We approved his estimate to replace the roof on October 1st, which was eventually finished, in roughly 55 days. On October 8th, while waiting for the roof to be replaced, I asked if he knew of a good company that could assist with minor remediation work. Ralph said they handle a lot of repair/mitigation work and would be happy to help us with that portion as well. I was thrilled. We approved his estimate on October 16th, and this minor remediation job is STILL not complete. What should have taken 1-2 weeks at the most, I am here writing this 5 months later. I can't believe I let this go on as long as I have, and I'm embarrassed to admit it, but he kept assuring me it would be wrapped up soon. I was told THREE times he had passing air sample results from testing he had completed, and each time he claimed to have the report, he never sent it to me. It was either the testing company's fault for the delay in getting it to me, the report was on a laptop in a different city (four hours away), or he was on vacation and about to get on a flight so he couldn't email it, it was ALWAYS something. I finally reached out to a reputable remediation company that said he could complete the remediation work in a couple of days and would have results for me just a few days after that. I have lost a ton of time and money over this minor job because of Ralph Valenciano's dishonesty. Do yourself a favor and do a quick Google search before deciding to go down this road. I wish I did.

I made sure he understood and saw in-person what was needed and asked him if he still wanted to proceed before work started. Several times after agreeing on the scope of work and payment Eric seemed to want to change what was agreed on. (payment and work) Micro-managing Eric was exhausting. End result was not what I had repeatedly told Eric. I had marked specific broken bricks for him and they did not get replaced. I told Eric to please match the caulking color. I asked him several times if he would have any issues doing any of these things and he repeatedly said he wouldn't. In the end I paid the full $950 for the work done.
