It was fairly busy in the store which is not a surprise since it is located in a very busy area. The store seemed very well kept up and maintained. The price checker and coupon machines were up and running properly and the machines are a very nice convenience to have. The store clerks all seemed busy stocking shelves, assisting customers, cleaning and so forth. There was a decent sized line at the cash registers but the cashier did a good job cashing everyone out at a quick pace. There is also a self checkout option at this location for anyone who prefers to use the self checkout. Very positive experience here.

NOONE was at the registers. A staff member called out, to no one, in particular, to ask if anyone was at the registers. I verbally confirmed that there were not. Then, I was blindsided from behind by a staff member, a large, intimidating man, snapping at me from the self checkout, "you don't SEE me?!?" Yes, I saw you, doing your job and helping people self check out. That doesn't help any of us waiting in the long line at the registers! The woman who finally waited on me was In no better mood, muttering under her breath, "Jesus Christ..." and other unintelligible words of anger. She hissed, asking me if I had a CVS card, and I said yes... Waiting for my next instructions. This infuriated her as she swung her arm at me to point at the small screen in front of me. No words, just quiet anger. I was passed intimidated and slightly scared at this point. So, I very timidly asked her to apply my coupons, which just frustrated her even more. How is any of this behavior good for business? Do any managers actually check on the employees? If so, CVS needs to check on their managers. THE DEAL: unless you're ready for angry, hostile staff in your face, don't come here!

I've already transferred my prescriptions from CVS to Garys. Not only were all the workers exceptionally pleasant, every customer was just as nice! I was given great advice from the 'front of house' employee from makeup, to hair brushes, to oils. The other worker doing pharmacy was just as nice! I found eyeliner my mom used to wear from 1999-2005 that I haven't been able to find for years. It was like $4. I've also gone through maybe 20 hair brushes in the past year because they all sucked. The lady recommended a particular brush for my hair type and it's exactly what I've been looking for (and it was only like 14$). Just such good vibes. Old school. People bring pets into the store all day long, and staff does nothing to enforce their own signage. I have a documented allergy to dogs and rely on posted policies to safely enter public spaces. On dozens of occasions, I have had to leave the store because pets were present. This is not an isolated incident, and staff is fully aware that non service animals are regularly allowed inside. When I called the store to raise the issue, no corrective action was taken. I was given excuses rather than solutions, and the behavior continues unchanged. Posting a policy while refusing to enforce it puts customers with allergies and disabilities at risk. If CVS chooses not to enforce its own rules, the signage should be removed so customers can make informed decisions before entering.

I was told by my doctor to try and switch to BILH /BIDMC Pharmacy from CVS. I used CVS for years…read more I have memory issues and have trouble remembering to call in Meds. CVS for years sent me reminders through text and email that it was time to put in for meds each month. BILH did give texts for two months after that nothing. I talked to a pharmacist that told me they hear that all the time. Well this didnt help me. I have memory issues and forgot, I had to call in 2 weeks later and put in another delivery. On the App there is no way to ask to get notifications, apparently the notifications are broken. They dont do Auto refills on my medication. So now not sure if they will refill it in 2 weeks or im screwed with my insurance. The Pharmacist at BILH suggested i use CVS who is better at notifying customers. wow.... Think i just might
