I arrived for my 9:00 a.m. appointment and was greeted by the hostess, who spoke very little English. She showed me to my room and instructed me to lie face down. A few minutes later, my massage therapist came in. Before she began, I explained that I was experiencing a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and asked if she could focus on those areas. She replied, "Yeah." Unfortunately, the massage was not what I expected. It became clear to me that she did not seem to have the techniques I would expect from a licensed massage therapist. Much of the session felt like repetitive rubbing rather than purposeful therapeutic body work. Throughout the 105 minutes, she repeatedly left the room, which made it difficult to relax or enjoy the experience. The facility itself was clean, and she was pleasant and kind. However, I left feeling exactly the same as when I arrived, which was the most disappointing part after investing both the time and money in a two-hour massage. As I was leaving, she told me, "You already paid for your massage. You just have to tip me." I was caught off guard and asked, "Excuse me?" She used a translation app on her phone and repeated the same statement. I felt very uncomfortable and, although I tipped anyway, I left feeling pressured rather than appreciated. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience or need therapeutic body work to address muscle tension, this may not be the right place for you. While the facility was clean and the staff were friendly, the quality of the massage and the uncomfortable interaction at the end left me highly disappointed.

I had to ask my masseuse three times to lower the massage pressure. I came home sore. She did reduce the pressure after that though. Also, my masseuse and the other masseuse were whispering to each other for some part of the massage in a foreign language. I wish that etiquette could've been better. When we went to pay, they asked for a tip. When my husband gave the tip amount (a pretty high percentage), the owner asked for each? My husband clarified that was the total tip. That could've been more discreet and less greedy. It also seemed to be in a run down sort of location.

I also love that you can customize your massage with a different scented (or unscented if you choose to) oil as well. For me, I picked therapist's choice because I was so indecisive..so I let Kristy picked for me. She combined rose and peppermint scent and I thought it was wonderful. Calvin performed my massage and it was amazing. He asked a few times about the pressure which I appreciated. The pressure was perfect. My boyfriend had Jass perform his massage and she suggested a few things that he agreed with. It was so relaxing for him that he fell asleep twice. I would definitely recommend! I believe they have privacy booths in the back for those who want a full body massage. Please check with the front desk counter when you arrive for clarification. The atmosphere was very calming. The lights are dimmed to provide a soothing atmosphere along with very quiet light music playing. My massage took place right behind the counter area in a massage chair. I was expecting a booth but considering it's just a neck and shoulder and back massage, it didn't really bother me to be upfront or others could see as they walk the mall. Once was to get hot stones that were not EVEN luke warm, and once was to get a hot towel to wipe off the house disinfectant-smelling oil he used on my back. I had to wash it off as soon as I got home. When he came back the second time, he left the door ajar, so anyone walking by might be able to see me covered in this weird 'half' sheet. No whole sheets, weird. I could certainly hear others talking since the door was open. So many times I wanted to end the massage because it was so awful. The guy, is he even licensed? Is this place licensed? He kept trying to cover my hair in a towel to keep the oil off-he spent several minutes adjusting that. Frustrating, when he could have been working on my back. The kicker: their sign that has been displayed on Eubank for more than a year states, "$50-one hour massage." When I went to pay, the bill was $64. (They have different pricing depending on the time of day. ) I told her that it was not fair because of their advertisement. She said since I was a first time client, that is was ok to do $50. Whatever. The price was $50, then a $3.00 service charge I wasn't expecting, and tax. I tipped a small amount and she had the AUDACITY to say that I had to tip 20%!!! I certainly did not. Their business name on my bank statement is 'Body Foot Spa Albuquerque NM' it doesn't even match the business name on the door and facade which is, 'Health Body Foot Spa, AND Body Foot...?'

While it is true that the sign on Eubanks says 50$, the website clearly says 60$ an hour. They did not skimp on the full hour and I was grateful for their professional deep tissue massage.
