Under new management. Across to hobby lobby and next to AT&T They're do nails, manicure, pedicure , designs, eyebrows ...

Popped off nail, split off after five days and broke off yesterday. Poor workmanship

Acrylic nail popped off 5 days after getting done, went in to get repair, was not greeted at all. They attempted to push me out of the way for someone to pay then had an attitude when i tried to explain why i was there and made up a wait time. They are gonna fix their mistake, but I would STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. These many one star reviews are for a reason.

BEWARE OF OLDER MAN WITH GLASSES. Had either a birthmark or bruise under one of his eyes and an abnormally large left thumb nail. He rushed in to take me as a client from sitting outside and was pushy in general. He didn't have any freshly sanitized tools and looked like they were thrown together in a box(even though the autoclave was behind him). As someone certified in blood born pathogen safety for my profession, his station was completely unhygienic. Didn't even wash his hands before working with me He rushed throughout and it is obvious. They may look passable from afar but really rough up close. I asked for pointed nails from the beginning but he cut them too short and tried to give me short squared nails. Had to tell him multiple times to ROUND them, even though it's not what I originally wanted. Gel nails so thick they already peeled THE NEXT DAY. Polish isn't all the way back to cuticle. Inconsistent shapes and thickness, there is literally a layer UNDERNEATH my nails, I had to go back in and have them filed down. Huge red flag that another EMPLOYEE told us to be careful and that he'd try overcharging. Was charged 50 even though the listed prices didn't correlate. I've worked in service industry for years so I'm not too picky and understand people have off days. I honestly feel like I was 1000% taken advantage of for being a new customer. Hate that I over tipped him before actually looking over the half ass job he did.

if I could give this nail salon 0 stars I would. being from out of state and staying in Pennington, I was excited to finally come across a nail salon in MS. I asked for a full set and a pedi. full set: man that sits in the corner (not the manager) was extremely rough with my hands pushing my fingers down, cutting me constantly after telling him he was, tapping down at the table expecting me to know what I was supposed to do instead of telling me. just rude. the gel color came out extremely streaky and ugly. once he was done, I was unsatisfied with my nails. I told the manager. Instead of taking them off he decided to put about 8 more coats on to make them seem better and cleaned around my nails which the previous guy left cotton residue etc. at that time I was there over 2 hours and ready to get the hell out. I was planning to come back the next day to get them soaked off. pedi: older lady was nice and my toes came out ok but nothing special at all. I find it unsanitary they do not put plastic bags in the feet tub. Attached are pictures that are AFTER the manager attempted to fix them. I wish I would have took some before. Never again will I be coming here. I tried calling the place to tell them I was still unsatisfied and see what their next steps would be to fixing my nails and they did not answer. I called 5 times. P.S i'm not a Karen. anybody who spends 90$ on this place walking out like I did would be just as mad as I am Do not come to this place!

worst customer service over priced for poor work! dont waste your time spending money at this location!!!! i walked out on a gel manicure yes i did pay but he came out the store after me after handling me rough...his lucky day! I SEE WHY YOU DONT HAVE NO CUSTOMERS!

Look closely the thumb and tips.

Well....Well...Well. I stopped at this place while in town for my Bonus Son's graduation as it was 5 minutes (1.1 miles) from my hotel. I showed the picture of what I wanted to two nail technicians and they both stated that it could be done. Okay, no problem so let's get started as there was only 2 other patrons in the facility getting a manicure. Thinking that this should be quick looking at the nail art pictures on google and the sign outside the door stating "Under New Management," I was there or 1.5 hours and walked away frustrated and disgusted at the nail tech (male, 2nd chair when looking straight back from the door). Not only is the color not the same color that I picked out on the wheel, but the jar is mislabeled. He started and had my nails looking a hot mess and then got an attitude when asked to correct it. I would have just preferred that he asked for assistance, if he really didn't know how to achieve the ombre look, let along the glitter on frost nail color effect. Then he tried to rush to finish, so he can attend to the walk-in who was trying to leave. All I know if this is the best nail shop in Meridian, MS as stated in a previous review, I will be sure to get my nails done before leaving DC before coming back here next year. Oh bye the way, anyone can upload photos from Pinterest and label them as their own and there is gel nail polish remover that you can buy off of Amazon (goes on like nail polish), as no one is really doing the soak off in acetone which gets in your skin and can cause carcinogenic to enter your body. Just be wise when patronizing this business, as they seem to have their set team of regulars that they take pride in servicing and do not really welcome walk-ins or new customers.

I WAS LOCKED INSIDE, THREATENED WITH A LAWSUIT, AND HUMILIATED. DO NOT GO HERE…read more If I could leave zero stars I would. This was one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional experiences I have ever had at a nail salon. I came in for a simple overlay with no polish and was quoted 40 dollars. Then it suddenly jumped to 50. When I mentioned I didn't like how one part looked and asked for a small adjustment, they said it would now be 75. I chose not to move forward and offered to pay for what had been done and leave. They locked the doors and refused to let me leave. I calmly asked, If I pay instead of soaking it off, how much is it? They told me I could not leave unless I soaked my nails off. This happened before the police even arrived. They were fully trying to force me to sit there and waste more of my time after disrespecting me. Once the police got there and I asked the same question again -- then they switched up and said I could just pay 30 dollars. But by that time, the damage was already done. The stress. The embarrassment. The humiliation. Let me be clear -- they called the police on me and threatened to sue me, even though I offered to pay. They made a huge scene and tried to make it seem like I didn't have the money. Another woman ended up giving me the 30 dollars just so I could leave. And yes, the man looked visibly upset that someone helped me because they wanted control -- not resolution. This was never about the money. It was about how they treated me. Talking to me like I was beneath them. Insisting on controlling the outcome even though I was calm and respectful at first. The security guard even said I did not have to pay -- and they still caused a scene. Attached is a photo of the nails they refused to let me leave with. [Insert photo here] To the salon -- This was not customer service. This was emotional manipulation and intimidation. To everyone else -- Please do not give your money to businesses that do not respect you. Speak up. Say something. And never let anyone try to control you over services they barely provided. This was disgusting and deeply unprofessional. Never again.

Very nice service, Doing great nails. Always makes customers happy. Clean and professional.read more

Let me start by saying that I've been a die hard dip powder girl for years. I moved to Meridian in…read moreJuly and have since bounced from nail salon to nail salon just trying to get a decent dip mani. I found myself disappointed over and over again by poor quality work, lack of attention to details, and even some less than stellar customer service. Frustrated, I reached out to Nail Therapy on Facebook and found out that they don't do dip, but their reviews were so good and the person running their Facebook was so friendly, I decided to give a gel manicure a go. Jay Si was SUPER friendly, professional, answered all of my questions thoroughly. He made sure I was happy with my nails shape and everything before putting the gel on. He was very detail oriented and I LOVE how my nails turned out--despite the fact that I had to temporarily go shorter due to the damage that the dip powder had done over the years. Jay Si made the point that part of why they don't do dip is because it's unsanitary and the more I pondered that thought--it really is just you jamming your finger in the same jar that 25 other people stuck their fingers in. Yuck! I also had the pleasure of enjoying Victorias company when I was there. She was super sweet, funny, food-motivated (Like myself lol) and made the experience all the more enjoyable. I've heard she's also a great nail tech and if Jay Si was ever unavailable, I wouldn't hesitate to let her do my nails! I'm definitely a dip to gel convert now and already have my next appointment booked!

Relocating to a new area is difficult; especially, when you make attempts to identify quality…read moreservices. When I entered the establishment earlier in the day, there was a younger white woman and a middle-aged Vietnamese man present. They both were engaged in conversations with two white guest. Both made direct eye contact with me, yet neither greeted me, welcomed me in, or instructed me to sign in -- which is the standard and expected process when a patron enters your business. The lack of basic acknowledgment was immediately noticeable and unprofessional. Due to a prior meeting, I had to leave before being seen. I returned at 2:30 PM and signed in for a gel polish change. At that time, there were three white customers seated in pedicure chairs. The same young white woman approached them without ever looking in my direction or acknowledging my presence, despite my being clearly seated and waiting. At 2:39 PM -- twenty-one minutes before closing -- the Vietnamese gentleman approached me. As I began explaining the service I was requesting, he interrupted me to state that the salon closes at 3:00 PM. The interaction was abrupt and dismissive. The contrast in treatment was apparent. The only plausible explanation, outside of a severe lapse in professionalism and customer service standards, is that my ethnicity did not warrant the same courtesy extended to the white patrons in the salon. I ultimately chose to take my business to Venus Spa down the street, where I was greeted immediately upon entering and offered water while I waited -- the baseline standard of hospitality any paying customer should expect.
