This place is pretty good. I'd drive 1hr just for some good Chinese buffet. They take reservation for big party too easy to find

Did not catch our waiters name but he was very friendly and kept our drinks refilled and the table clean. Found octopus on the serving line was spicy and rubbery. Hot and sour soup spicy hot. They had a wide variety of items all of which I tried were good.lot of peel and eat shrimp with fried shrimp.fried fish was over cooked and hard. Was the OCB. Large and well-stocked. Love that they have a Mongolia BBQ. Would like it more if they had more fruit.

I tried this buffet with my family and it was way better than we thought. They have a awesome waterfall and cool lighting with the decor it looks as if your in china. They also have a wide variety of food. I recommend this restraint to all of you reading this. read more

Went to Star Ocean Buffet 5pm last night. Very nice clean place. Food wasn't hot. To only good to go if they are busy.

Unique Asian buffet in Rochester. Sushi is good especially for a buffet. Lots of different options to choose from Asian to American along with a salad bar and desserts. Very impressed with how clean it was and the food was hot. Price is a little on the spendy side, so make sure you come hungry. read more

I have been to alot of seafood buffets. This one is fantastic. Fresh food, very clean and a great variety. Very very affordable. My family took me for dinner while I was in town, and I was sending my husband pictures to make him jealous!!! Of I ever make it back we will be going for sure. read more

Ive been here twice and they haven't even been open a week yet. The experience I had on opening day was great, paying went smooth, the buffet was stocked, the sushi was stocked, the wait staff did a great job on refills. Then I went on Saturday with my wife and it wasn't as smooth, the sushi was always out so she didn't even get to try any and worse was the staff. We never received a beverage refill during our lunch. As far as the food goes. Its the same food as Kingdom Buffet, a few dishes a little better, a few a little worse. The atmosphere is much better though and the dinner area is larger making it handle larger crowds better. read more

Took my dad there for lunch today. The lunch prices are reasonable and includes a beverage. Updated! Clean! Well stocked buffet! Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Bathroom was clean. The food was very good with many selections. We will be back! read more

Atmosphere is much improved from the old OCB.. points for that! However, food is questionable. I didn't feel well after I ate here.

Have only been for lunch, but both times it was great. The variety is great and if you can chuckle off some items like steamed asparagus with American cheese slices melted over top, then this place is for you. We were so excited to have what appeared to be a Chinese seafood buffet. We were a bit underwhelmed once we actually ate there. While they did have some seafood selections...crab, shrimp, fish, clams, and mussels...the rest of the buffet was pretty ordinary. The clams were probably my favorite. I found the crab legs very difficult and messy to eat...no shell crackers were available. And other than the heavily battered and fried coconut or fried shrimp, the other shrimp options still had the entire shell and legs attached. I'm sure there are some who don't mind all that work to eat, but I don't count myself among them. The salad bar was nice; I didn't try the Mongolian grill; the sushi-meh; the desserts were identical to those that can be found at the other 2 Chinese buffets in town...at a lower price. Drinks are included in the price of admission, which is different from the others. All in all...it was an okay meal. read more

My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night. The place is large, well lit and clean. Our wait person was very attentive and kept our table clean and our beverages filled. The salad bar was good in that the lettuce was fresh and crisp. The price for a meal out is reasonable. I think those are all the good points. For my part, I judge the entire buffet by the quality of some of the seafood items. The deep fried shrimp: awful - a lot of breading surrounding a "see if you can find" a bit of shrimp. The stir fry options like beef and broccoli were average at best. I took two egg rolls, but one would have been more than enough - quality was below average. I tried two of the sushi offerings - one was pretty good and the other was not edible. Most of the items I tried were at least warm - I'd rate that part acceptable. We did not have dessert. The restaurant itself is large and somewhat noisy, but I didn't find the noise beyond acceptable. I think the worst part of the environment was that, like may buffets, this place attracts a lot of patrons who weigh 300 to 400 pounds and who eat their meal while wearing a dirty baseball cap and seem to have never discovered soap and water. Since this is a very, very large dining room, you have to be ready to eat side by side with a ton of people that you would probably avoid in any other circumstance. This doesn't describe everyone in the restaurant, but it does include a significant number of them. read more

Food was cold Soda was not what it was supposed to be Just all-around bad service. Hot food was cold and cold food was warm. They messed up our drink order gave tea instead of fruit punch they clean things right next to the soda machines and they use way to much cleaning product near any of the food items. I eat Chinese often and I have stopped going to places decided to try this place because we are out of town and will not be back. Worst buffet I have ever been to my daughter got ice cream for desert and the chocolate didn't even taste like chocolate. The best place was the decoration in the bathroom but they had cardboard boxes flattened out under the urinals had to rush out to our vehicle because our 8month old leaked through his diaper and they expected me to pay again when he was dry right before we went in to the restaurant and we were there for not even there for 20 minutes. I've been to a lot of buffets and they have never done that to me before because they know things happen. Wished I could give zero stars. Should have read all reviews before eating here. read more

Absolutely terrible. The food was awful. The chicken was chewy, probably overlooked. The pizza wasn't even cooked and the crust was complete raw. The crab rangoons were raw on the inside. The "ice cream" had absolutely no flavor. The lemonade was very watered down. Overall, I would never come here again, worst food I've ever had at a buffet. read more
