I recently booked Star Trolley for my wedding and it was the BEST decision!!! We had it basically all day -- to take us from our getting ready locations, to the venue, to a park for photos, back to the venue, and then to our after party as our getaway car. We went on the 2 hour St. Petersburg tour and it was wonderful. The trolley was clean (a little squeaky) and the tour guide was friendly. I've been on many tours and this was the 1st that I could hear the tour guide and the video clearly. The weather cooperated and made the experience even better. We got to stop at the St. Petersburg distillery and I want to rerun there for their tastings. This tour is perfect for those who've moved to Pinellas and want to get to know more about the city people rave about. Just did the star trolley Mural tour and What a fun experience! Honestly it was even more fun than I expected it to be! Our tour guide Miss Crit was extremely knowledgeable, energetic, friendly, detailed and thorough! She truly is a talented guide as well as a true creative who is passionate about the arts, which is almost contagious. The trolley is very comfortable and a perfect alternative to walking tours should someone be immobile or in need of having the experience Sans heat! The tour touches on the artistic side of St. Pete, it's cultural and artistic evolution, the community and its involvement with the arts. Review of Star Trolley - St. Petersburg, FL I booked a two-hour city trolley tour with Star Trolley and was extremely disappointed by how unprofessionally everything was handled. The trolley was 45 minutes late, leaving everyone who had paid for the tour standing out in the cold in a parking lot, wondering if they were ever going to show up. Despite making multiple phone calls and sending text messages to the company, no one ever responded to confirm whether the tour was still happening. When the trolley finally arrived, the driver told us he hadn't even known about our scheduled tour and was working on a broken fence when his boss called to tell him there were people waiting. If I hadn't kept calling, it sounds like the tour might never have happened at all. I've heard from others that this kind of situation has occurred before and that they were at least offered free vouchers for another tour as an apology. We received no such consideration--only an excuse. Even though the driver extended the route to give us the full two hours, the late start threw off everyone's plans and made for a frustrating experience from start to finish. It would have been nice if management had simply returned a call or message to explain the delay, but that courtesy was never given. Overall, I found the company's communication and professionalism extremely lacking. I do not recommend Star Trolley for any tours and will not be using them again read more

We recently needed a mode of transportation for a group of people for a friend's Celebration of Life (similar to a funeral), and it was very last minute... I got ahold of the owner, Richard, who was not only willing to help us out with a trolley but he was also very sympathetic to us having lost our loved one. Our driver arrived on time, was so unbelievably nice and kind, she was a great driver and very personable. My 90-year old dad and I took the Shine Mural tour offered via Star Trolley. The murals were AMAZING. Jenee was our guide, and as the Director of the Shine Mural Festival she was able thoroughly explain not just the murals but the process to complete them and history of the Shine Mural Festival. She had fun anecdotes the entire 2.5 hours! There was only a little bit of walking, but it wasn't mandatory. I highly recommend this tour! As for Star Trolley, they are super cute and the driver knew his stuff. He was funny and totally knew the route, I never felt nervous about his driving. Heads up for people without much cushion in their tush...the seats are wooden so can get a bit uncomfortable. My dad was concerned, but made it through without any issue. Could just be b/c Jenee was so interesting it took his mind off his butt. LOL! read more

Star Trolley provided trolley services for the St Pete localtopia of 2023 and it waa absolutely horrible. There was no uniformity or organization to where people would be picked up and taken back to Tropicana parking lots. The trolleys would randomly choose a spot to stop and pick ppl up, usually at the back of a formed line, leaving the people who where there first to wait for the next bus. When my 72yr old mother dared to point this fact out the petty tyrant bus driver declared we would not ride on his bus. Then the next trolley picked up the wrong end of the line so we encountered the petty tyrant again who threatened to involve the police when she tried to get on. Stay away! read more

We hired Star Trolley for our daughter's wedding in Tampa for transporting wedding party, family and guests. Pick up began at the hotel, transporting wedding party and family to the church and then from the church to a local scenic area for pictures, and then on to the venue nearby. We had a schedule throughout the night for the driver to transport guests back to two separate hotels late in the evening. The driver, Pedro was punctual on arrival and followed the course of our schedule. There were two occasions while riding the trolley that I observed Pedro turning right corners and coming very close to other cars, which concerned several passengers. One driver had to back up his car in order to make room for the trolley to turn the corner and was not happy about it. During the route of transporting the wedding party to the venue, Pedro drove past an active sprinkler shooting onto the road, which came right through the open air portion of the trolley getting the groomsmen sitting on that side wet. A family member saw it coming and warned them at the last minute and they jumped up. They would have gotten soaked had no warning been shouted. This was something I expected Pedro to have foreseen, knowing the trolley was open to the outside, but nothing was said, nor did he apologize. In fact, he didn't say much at all throughout the entire evening. I suspect there may have been a language barrier. My expectations were a little higher in this regard. I do want to say that Richard, the owner and Jeffrey Holmes from "the Star Trollet Team" were very professional with confirming our reservation, and confirming our specific desired schedule several times prior to the event. read more

UNRELIABLE AND UNPROFFESSIONAL! Went to downtown St. Pete event called Localtopia, following directions for event, parked at stadium and took Star trolly to event. The first trolly driver was a very nice woman who dropped us off at the trolly stop and said to come there for return ride. Problem was, the other drivers refused to pull up to that stop. Two male drivers were driving the only 2 trollys running when we prepared to leave before 2pm. One driver kept pulling up at the end of the line of 30-40 people waiting and taking the last people first, telling those at the front: "You'll just have to wait." The other driver stopped a block before the stop and was always full when he arrived. He said: "You'll just have to wait." HORRIBLE SEVICE!!! HORRIBLE DRIVERS. We waited hours while these clowns repeated their bad behavior over and over. We finally took a cab to our car. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER RELY ON THIS COMPANY FOR TRANSPORTATION! My husband and I booked Star Trolley on 2/28/22 for our wedding at Pass-a-Grille Beach and they were an absolute pleasure to work with! First and foremost, Richard made the process of inquiry to booking extremely easy, his response time was quick, and he never questioned any changes that I wanted to make. Star Trolley was even nice enough to change the scheduled pick up time a few days prior to the wedding to calm my nerves. Day of, the driver arrived on time, notified us of her arrival via text, and drove the bride and groom separately from our hotel to the ceremony location. We also used Star Trolley to take us from our ceremony on the beach to our reception venue. The trolley was clean, perfect and everything as advertised. We had small children on the trolley with us and felt the driver was very cautious/safe.
