    Hyperspace

My reference point was Space Mountain at California Disneyland. I assumed it would be the same. Hyperspace Mountain is completely different from the California version called Space Mountain. Hyperspace is FAST. And it is longer than Space Mountain. It also goes upside down. It is a scary roller coaster. Not an easy, quick ride like Space Mountain that is over in a minute. Before you get on Hyperspace Mountain, there is a warning for people who have medical issues (heart, back problems, neck pain), and you should NOT ride this if you have any of those conditions. It is a fast, jerky ride. Don't ignore the warning. I got off this ride and felt like my brain was scrambled. I was dizzy and lightheaded. Not fun. My fiancé (who loves roller coasters) even said "that was great."

I've been riding Space Mountain since the 1980's at the original Disneyland in CA, and it has seen many changes & additions over the decades. The attraction in Paris is very different; as it's the only Space Mountain to feature inversions, a launch, a section of track that exits and re-enters the interior, and a synchronized on-Board audio track. The newest renovation to the ride implements a Star Wars theme to celebrate the resort's 25th Anniversary back in May 7th, 2017. "Hyperspace Mountain" in Hong Kong & Paris are the only ones that currently exist in the Disney theme parks. I rode Hyperspace Mountain in Anaheim back in 2015, and the effects didn't work too well. For the one in Paris, it works so much better! It's a major improvement, as the video screens, music and laser effects works very well. I hope this version will stay for awhile, as this is currently my favorite version of Space Mountain.

Not your grandma's Space Mountain from the states! Space Mountain in California has always been one of my favorite rides and was let down a bit when riding the one in Florida, so I was looking forward to the see how the Paris version stacked up. "HyperSpace Mountain" did not disappoint. Unlike the stateside versions, this Space Mountain uses full trains instead of smaller vehicles. The other MAJOR difference is there are inversions. The Star Wars overlay is typical Disney come-lately themeing, that doesn't fit with the Jules Verne original/external theme, but works well once on the ride (it is especially well timed if sitting in the back). Bottom line - very fast, loop and twist inversions, lots of fun...may have booted CA version as my favorite.

A charming park! Not…read morea very big park, but a very beautiful park. There are much less rides to enjoy here, but much more pretty views and things to-do. The food is also not as good at this park, but there are some wonderful sit-down dining experiences. Pros and cons, but overall a park that's worth the visit at least once! Really enjoyed a few of the rides. For the thrilling rides, I LOVED Hyperspace Mountain. Coming from CA, it was not at all what I expected, but I had a great time. It was basically a full-on roller coaster and I screamed the entire time. Avengers Flight Force was also unexpectedly thrilling. Loved Crush's Coaster and of course Frozen Ever After and Ratatouille were fantastic. I really liked Phantom Manor which I found to be spookier than the original Haunted Mansion. Big Thunder was fun (and longer) and more thrilling than its CA counterpart. I had a great time!

While we absolutely adored Tokyo Disney, which is unique from it's merch to it's rides, Disneyland Paris feels like a logistically difficult echo to what's in the states. The TGV train from the airport wasn't great and getting picked up by Uber at the station was rife with scams. We felt generally that the park was not worth the hassle you go through to transit there (somewhat similar to my feelings on WDW actually). That being said the food was good and I enjoyed trying our Premier Access for rides (it made our visit a lot more smooth) but all in all I don't see us coming back as there's not much here that's unique outside of their fantastically large pins.

The spookier, the better (that's my mindset anyway lol) The Phantom Manor lives up to the hype! It triumphs its American counterpart and buries it 6 feet under... (creepy huh? lol) Insert evil laugh bwuahahahaha Okay but really, this was a great attraction- a must see! If you like Halloween and spooky things. As others have noted; it is darker than the Haunted Mansion. So, no little littles for this one. Sadly, I didn't get any pictures. I was too wrapped up in the experience to even think about photos. But that's okay.

From what I read because they changed the music for French audiences and this version is in Frontierland they changed the scope of the ride and felt it needed a different name. In my opinion, Phantom Manor (like most of the rides we rode at Disneyland Paris) was weaker than the original at Disneyland. It does feel slightly longer but from the music to the decor to the doom buggies, everything is just a little less magical. The best parts are the echos of the original. With Premier Pass the ride was walk on (although up a few sets of stairs), so I definitely recommend riding it if you visit, but I would keep my expectations low.
