The manager waited on me. She was also trying to tell an employee to make coffee and go on break. She should have put her mind on one thing. She is not a multi-tasker!!! She gave me the wrong food (which I did not realize until we were driving), some egg muffin type thing instead of egg bites that I wanted. I ask her to fill up my cup with ice and water. She forgot the ice. We are driving to Los Angeles, very far~~so I needed the ice. We're in the desert after all. I asked for 3 inches of non-fat milk in my regular coffee. The manager gave that job to the girl she wanted to go on break. She put a splash of milk in my coffee. EMMA saved the day. I told her my problems. She got me a big glass of ice and a small cup of non-fat milk and all is well. The Manager needs to learn TO TAKE THE TIME TO COMPLETE ONE TASK. To tell an employee directions ONCE and let them do their job. The manager DOES NOT need to micro-manage her employees. EMMA should be rewarded for her kind behavior. They are horrible; we called in a mobile order on 6/12/2022 and it still took 30 minutes to get 2 drinks and 2 oatmeals. Today on 6/13 we got in the car line at 541 am and we finally got our order at 6am! 20 minutes to get 3 coffees, 2 egg sandwiches and 1 egg bite. The management is terrible and needs to be replaced immediately! Nobody knows what they're doing inside, no direction! I will no longer be shopping here! If you are hoping to place a mobile order to pick-up on your way through or out of town, don't even bother. While I understand they were busy and the staff were friendly (thus the generous two stars), they still shouldn't be losing mobile order tickets. I placed two orders to pick up this morning, however it was pointless. Not only were they not ready on time, they hadn't even started making them! A couple minutes after our orders were supposed to be ready, we finally asked about it and the barista had to dig around to find the tickets-- then she was only able to find one! Needless to say, we didn't get our order on time and we didn't even end up receiving our full order that we had already paid for in advance on the app. You might have better luck just walking into the grocery store and placing an order from the Starbucks there. read more

Walked in, used their bathroom while coming from Mammoth Lakes to LA. Women were kind, then took my order and had us on our way in less then 10 mins. Plenty of parking, they also have a drive-thru which i adore but today I needed to use the lavatory, it was so clean. read more

It's unfortunate that in this day and age, a well-beyond satisfactory starbucks could have such a dark side to it. What I mean is this: the splash-back in the urinal (of the men's bathroom, of course) was so violent that I not only got soaked, but also began to wonder if the urinal had in fact been designed to ruin the day of any khaki-wearing patron. While I was taken aback in the moment, I hadn't realized the full extent of the damage until I left the starbucks and my 5-year old daughter, after placing her hand on her daddy's hairy knee, violently retracted as she felt the moisture that had accumulated without consent, and devastated my knee (and my daughter's comfort in grasping her daddy's knee... she has not done it since). Otherwise, great service; the coffee was good; I do not hold the staff responsible for my rather negative experience. read more

Worst place to come and get your coffee. Any other location does better. I waited 10 minutes in line to order a mocha Frappuccino. Took them 20 minutes to get it to me. Everyone that ordered AFTER me got their drinks and left. While waiting, the first ten minute pass and I asked about my drink, the worker said "soon"....I was still standing there as the worker kept calling out new orders coming in. My cup sat there for so long. They had no issue with making other Frappuccinos, so why is this one so troubling to take a minute off the new customer's drinks for one that has been sitting there for over ten minutes?? A total of twenty minutes go by and I get my drink. No apology given to me but to the customers who have been only there for three minutes. This use to be a nice place to get a coffee, something to eat and do a little work as I am a remote worker. Unfortunately, the hours are super short 6am - 2pm, Wi-Fi isn't available and my drink is constantly made wrong. Super disappointed. No wonder the place is a ghost town. So sad. read more

It's a hipster Starbucks but nice enough. It's a chain so if you seen one you've seen most but it hasn't been upgraded to the mobile friendly Starbucks with power outlet all over the place. It has google wifi which is impressive in middle of Bishop CA. okay now my complaint, who puts a flat hook coat rack on the back of a door at hip height! I just bruised the hell out of my forearm. Opening the dark bathroom door and having the door swing back and hook my forearm really hurt. It is an odd Starbucks as they go because most are pretty standardized. The traffic flow for ordering is next to where everyone sits but the waiting is where people come in. It's actually backwards for flow but more designed for the drive though. Even their signs have a typo which isn't normal. I can still be a bit sour because my forearm hurts. read more

So my fiancé and I are driving through this cute and quaint town on our way to the mountains and see a Starbucks (because we sometimes do things the Great 'Mercian way and gravitate towards commercialized businesses) we pull up and hear the receptionist say "I'm so sorry, we ran out, there's no vanilla lattes available" So I think to myself, okay cool ill just order caramel macchiato. When we drive up to the window we proceed to say our orders...both of which have vanilla in them so then we changed our order. Then the next order ALSO wasn't available. We heard "I'm so sorry" about 3 times in OUR visit alone. So then we proceeded to then inquire what WAS available so that we didn't have to continue choosing the unavailable. We put our orders in and pull up for the next person to order and hear the woman tell the next customer "I'm so sorry" .......tmy reason for this review isn't because I'm a classic,needy,spoiled citizen, but moreso about the customer service. Why not just say upon pulling up...we don't have vanilla available which means we have XYZ available....just wishing customer service was better these days. That's all read more

I would give them a zero if that was possible- the sign out front said the drive thru was open from 7-5- the first day I went at 1 pm and they said no one had made any tea that day for the tea drinks- so I passed- the second day I went back at 1:30pm and even though the sign out front said they were open the sign on the drive through window said they were already closed- at 1:30?! Two days , two tries- why doesn't the sign out front match the sign out back at the window- all the other Starbucks in the area- at Von's in Bishop and Mammoth and the drive through in Mammoth are all open and while operating in limited hours they are still providing great service and communicating clearly when they are open- read more

I have been a religious patron of starbucks at dozens of locations over the past maybe 20 years. Every other interaction with Starbucks has been pleasant and satisfying. My wife and I are passing through on November 17th on our way back to San Diego when after a nice lunch at Shatts bakery we stopped in for drinks at this location. I wanted a dark roast pour over, but it was not to be. This barista (long curved dark mustache) seemed to believe he knew what I wanted more than I did. so first he maybe try their Dark Roast, which I did (and surprise, I didn't like it like every other time I've tried it). So once again I asked for a Pour Over this time he decides or what I want is an Americano, which again, I know already I don't like it as I've had it several times. Now I stand at the bar and he is doing something else. Screw it I say, and toss the second drink into the trash. This barista ought to find work outside of customer service because he does not get his function. I got ripped off, paid for drink I never got. It was first time Starbucks experience after maybe ~5000 visits, lol. My whole family are Starbucks junkies and my daughter is an employee. I noticed this Starbucks only gets 2 1/2 stars on yelp. Curious. In contrast, while we were driving through Madera, we met the most amazing barista who was just over the top nice and accommodating and just a sweet individual. The men's Bathroom hasn't been working for more than 2 weeks. However, they barred off the men's and women's bathroom by putting trash cans in front of them. They are not allowing their customers to use the bathroom claiming that they put a work order to get it fixed. Why can't I use the women's restroom and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to operate without a restroom. Terrible customer service. read more

Ordered a ribbon crunch and a caramel frappe. Caramel frappe was fine but when the ribbon crunch was handed over to us it looked identical to the caramel frappe. When we told the drive thru barista that it was another caramel frappe, she told us that no it was a ribbon crunch and insisted on it. It had no crunchy caramel toppings and there was no difference in taste or how frappes looked like. Why pay more for a ribbon crunch frappe when it'll be a regular caramel frappe? read more

This is the worst service I have ever experienced. 32 minutes to get a hot chai tea latte. Only one person taking internal orders and there was a very large order in front of me and nobody helped nobody opened the second register. Meanwhile 10 to 15 cars went through the drive-through when I'm even trying to get an order inside. They completed the seven drink order prior to even starting my order. I placed a mobile order, because during the previous visit to this Starbucks store in Bishop I it had taken over 20 minutes to receive my tall americano, due to an mistake they were trying to fix for another customer. I thought the pre-order would be more efficient. Unfortunately I was wrong . I parked and walked into an empty store. No cars in the drive-thru, and only two people sitting at a table. I arrived expecting to pickup my coffee and get back on the road. There was no coffee or any Starbucks employees around. I waited at the counter and finally Ricky who was leaning against the door of the back room chatting with another employee walked out. He had no idea a mobile order had been placed (this seems to be the norm at this store). After he finally noticed me, he walked over and and asked what I wanted to order. He was clueless about the existence of a mobile order. I told him I had placed the order 15 minutes prior. He started to prepare my drink. I patiently waited. As I was watching, I noticed him reach back to get ice. I asked if that was intended for my drink. He said 'oh yes'. I asked why, I had not ordered a cold drink. The slow motion continued...I was very frustrated and by then had been waiting in the store for over 10 minutes for a total of 25 minutes since I had placed my order. I told Ricky to please just give me a refund, that I didn't have time to wait any longer. At this time Ricky took the cold americano and forcefully threw it in the sink to the right of the espresso machine. That was the first splash. Then he took a hot cup of espresso from the machine, raised his arm and threw it on the floor in anger and walked off. Ricky was having a temper tantrum. I was left standing there in complete surprise. I realized he wasn't coming back so I walked to the register and asked the other employee to please issue me a refund because I needed to leave. I wish I was exaggerating. But unfortunately not only am I not doing that, I am not sure this simple account of the events conveys the rude and offensive actions of this unprofessional employee. Being that this was not the first time I had experience interacting with him, I was not shocked. My surprise comes from the fact that this is acceptable by the store manager. I am sure you have read others negative experiences online so this seems to be an ongoing problem. As a loyal and longtime customer of Starbucks, this is not acceptable to me. I have NEVER have I ever had someone throw a drink with such force and walk off. I'm always surprised that stores managers don't read reviews that people take time to write to help improve their business. These reviews positive or negative are a priceless gift. There are so many people that have had similar experiences at this particular store, it seems this may just be the culture. read more

I am a former Starbucks partner and know that the drive thru and lobby can run way more efficiently then they have it running now. Service is so slow!! I see the person on bar making on drink at a time. Doing bar that way will only make you slow and your customers unhappy. My family and I stopped by this little town on our way home from the mountains happy to find a Starbucks. The restrooms were a mess and the customer service is not up to par. The employees were not very welcoming nor do they really listen. The lady at the register got everything but the first drink, which was a simple tall brewed coffee. I went back to the bar to ask for it but they kept moving around without stopping to see that I needed help. When they finally made it for me, I went to put cream and they were out of half and half. So I went to ask for them to refill the can and again, they took forever to realize I needed help. I thought we were finally ready to go home until I realized my brownie was served to me cold. Time to wait long again. It wasn't a busy day as there was only one other customer in there. So I don't see why they couldn't take the time to clean the restrooms and pay attention to a customer. read more
