Had a rough morning and went to the drive thru on March 18th around 2pm because my coworkers have been raving about the iced banana bread matcha and I decided to try it. The guy at the drive thru was so incredibly nice and cheerful even at the speaker box. He loved this drink as well so my hopes were very high. The drink blew me out of the water however the guy at the drive thru that day (I'm so sad I didn't get his name) he turned my day around and made my day from his kindness and amazing energy. read more

There's been some cutbacks happening, first in 2025, the app no longer had the option for No Ice. For 2026, I've been noticing a 1in thick whipped cream is placed at the base of the cup before pouring in the Frappuccino basically reducing size essentially with whipped cream. Classically the cups will be filled above the line with whipped cream. Sometimes, the "coffee lid" is placed to further reduce to top end of the cup and the top is filled with an inch of whipped cream. So you can imagine sometimes your beverage simply has 2 inches of whipped cream. :/ Prices have also moved up from $6 to $7 mark for frap venti. read more

Stopped in for take out coffees and service was poor at best. Two on staff, focused on the drive through. One yelled how they were busy and would get to us but we'd have to wait. When she did serve us she was very short and kurt. Won't be back, disappointed read more

Slower service at Fairview locations and downtown kitchener location is not good I got 2 coffees and it was like watered down . The other 2 location have mostly east indian the service sucks. I don't do reviews but this review is very much worth my time and effort. I must say that the Starbucks at 525 Hespeler Road is the best one I've ever visited. I've visited Starbucks all over Canada and around the world including the most beautiful one in Paris and this location surpasses them all in service and the quality of the beverages. However delicious the beverages are here at this Starbucks it's the friendliness of the baristas and all the employees that keeps me coming back to this Starbucks. I've been coming here every day for weeks now because the people here are so accommodating and welcoming. All the employees greet you as you come in the door. How more friendly can you get than that. There after you are treated to the best service they can give you and they make sure that you are happy with your order. I actually think of all the employees that I've so far gotten to know as friends. So please drop into this location and you'll automatically feel at home sipping on a quality coffee, tea, frappe or whatever. K deserves to be congratulated for her choice of employees and her staff of R., D., A., E. and J. need to be rewarded for their friendliness and high quality service. Love you guys! Note to cafe hopping instagrammers: no latte art here either! This Starbucks is really nice and spacious inside. There are a lot of windows to let in natural light so it's a great place to study. I just have to mention that their breakfast sandwiches look nothing like the pictures; my ham and Swiss was pretty squished, lol. But aside from looks, it tasted yummy. The staff are really friendly and funny here. It always sounds like they're having fun with each other behind the counter which really makes the atmosphere relaxing and down to earth. read more

I don't write very many reviews but after the exceptional service I received today I had to write one as soon as I could. I am pretty confident that I spend half my salary at this Starbucks location (LOL) but the ladies (and gents) that work there make it super easy. They deal with my annoying orders and today I was given awesome service by the lovely Penny that works there. ALL the girls that work there are fabulous and make it fun to come by and grab coffee and I just want to thank each and every one of you (you know who you are - wow this sounds like an acceptance speech, hahah) for writing notes on my cups and giving me the best cup of caramel (*ahem* coffee) that one could hope for. The service is friendly, fast and fun and if I could, I would give this location a billion stars. :) read more

Poor signage and rude staff. Location has been closed during covid - very understandable. But when finally open - has minimal signage, but with apparently a very stick "entry process". Doors are not labelled Entry or Exit to outside. Entered to pick up a mobile order today (other locations have been doing this for weeks) - walked into the unmarked exit and kindly said "hey - I have a mobile order for pickup" The lady seemed abrupt / rude and said - actually you need to enter through the other door - that's the exit only. (For social distancing) So I walked around to the other door - to walk in and then to be told to walk beside the indoor line .. to the exit door .. to pick up my mobile order.. When I seemed a little annoyed for having to walk around and between / through the line to get to where I had just been - which seems illogical and really unnecessary (as I had finished where I had started) - her response was "oh, why are we so angry today ?" And I simply replied - I'm not angry, I'm a little annoyed that your store isn't properly signed, nor did what you just did make sense, but you were and also are a bit rude. But thank you - and have a good day" Having a fake smile and saying rude things while smirking / smiling doesn't make you seem like a nice person - it just gives the appearance of rudeness or that you don't care and think it's a joke. I'll continue to go out of my way to the other Starbucks in the area - even though further - for better customer service and genuinely nice & sincere baristas ! Which is what Starbucks is known for Starbucks on Fountain/Pinebush & the location further south on 24 are both amazing !! read more

This is my favourite Starbucks location. It's huge! I wish they had more locations like this. Every other location has maybe 10 tables. This place has 10-15 tables plus cozy seating and a fireplace. It reminds me of a Williams. More Starbucks should be like this location. read more

It's a Starbucks. If you're here you know why you're here. This location is particular has tones of seating and friendly staff. Lots of parking and a drive thru make is a convenient stop and sit or a pick up and go location. It's central to basically everything on hespler road in Cambridge and is a perfect stop to fuel your caffeine itch. Starbucks as always has the most reliable internet of the free wifi locations so fret not faux bloggers and novelists you can write your Pulitzer Prize winner without dropping off your Facebook page while looking at your friends baby pictures... I visit a lot of different Starbucks, and this one in my hometown is my favourite. They always get the order right and if I request an item that's unavailable or have to wait longer than usual, it's always rectified with a complimentary drink or dessert. Great Starbucks location. The staff goes above and beyond too make sure you feel welcome. Samples are given out which is awesome! The coffee is always made too how I ask. Staff remember your name. The new renovation is wonderful with the open ceiling. Drive thru is not forever. I know this is an out of store concern, however, I would love too see the store(S) advertise how to make drink substitutions for people with dietary restrictions. This Starbucks goes out of its way to feel like a small coffee shop! The staff are super friendly and have taken the time to learn some of the regular customers names. Even at busy times, staff take a few minutes to bring around samples to those dining in, I was able to try something I wouldn't normally order. read more

Tricky location to get into if you are not familiar with the area. Glad to see that there has been recent changes that have made it nicer to get into the parking lot. Have always found this location consistent with drinks, food and staff. I believe this location has had a facelift/renovation as the set-up was different than I recall on past visits. It definitely seemed to have more seating and was super busy! read more
