Fantastic coffee! We loved the autumn latte the most, it was a perfect little warm treat while we walked around the area. Looks like a really hip study spot too. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Their baked goods looked really good from the other reviews, but unfortunately we came later in the days so there were barely any left in their display case. Uninviting and impatient counter staff!!!! I have given Monigram Coffee Roasters 4 tries hoping for a better outcome each time. It didn't happen. It is very hard to ask questions and try new coffees when the staff treat you like they want you to leave. They are dismissive and rude and no coffee is worth that. A great place to enjoy a truly good cup of espresso. They actually roast the beans themselves which makes for a much better and fresher taste. I tried a shot of their Kayon espresso. Very tangy and interesting flavour. Nice after taste. The owner suggested I tried it and offered a regular shot if I did not enjoy the Kayon. There was no need. My friend and I both had the Eggs Benedict, both done a bit differently but they were both so flavourful! One of the best Eggs Benedict I've had. It was just the amount of food for a quick breakfast. I did think the prices were a bit high. It was $8.00 just for one egg and $14.00 for two. However, they presented the food so nicely. The atmosphere was really nice and clean and modern. It wasn't just a typical restaurant. Our server was very friendly and came to our table right away. The best coffee shop in town! And they've got a great selection of tea from Genuine Tea as well. I've tried the jasmine tea and it had a great, refreshing taste. Staff are cheerful and their positive attitude can be contagious. I like how this coffee shop has outlets for you to plug in your electronic devices and the wifi works great. Took a short country drive from Guelph for my first time visit to Monigram Coffee located in a century old building in scenic downtown Galt last Saturday.. cool spot. I went to this coffee shop for the first time on Friday for lunch and a latte. I really loved how it looked inside and right away noticed how busy it was.. It can definitely be hard to get a table at peak times. Pros: amazing latte and probably the best service I've ever had at a coffee shop. The owner came to introduce herself and welcome us which was amazing. The customer service is excellent. Cons: my sandwich and latte costed just over $20 so if I go in future I'd stick to only drinks I think. Overall amazing experience. Great cafe for coffee, brunch, and baked goods. My friend and I went there for brunch and I got their spicy mango chutney sandwich with chicken and it amazing! I also got a cappuccino and my friend got their coffee and TBC sandwich. The coffee was really good - a bit pricey but worth it! They also sell their house made mango chutney, jams, and coffee makers (french press, pourover, drip, mugs, etc. - all really cute!). Do you really need to take your coffee this seriously? Absolutely. 100%. This place is a gem. The first time I got a latte here I took my travel cup and headed for my car. A right turn onto Ainsley and I begin a drive to Brantford. Heading towards Hwy 24 I take my first sip and nearly drive off the road. The balance of flavours, the texture of steamed milk. The nose, the finish. I seriously underestimated the amount of attention a cup of coffee can demand on a good day. Consistency is at 100%. Never had a bad cup. The food is terrific. Exactly the right stuff on offer. Daily lunch specials make regular visits essential. Also, it's really nice inside. Noisy enough. Private enough. Top all of this off with the most charismatic owners possible and you've got a recipe for a perfect experience. Can't rate Monogram highly enough. read more

I live in waterloo but came here because a friend was participating in a craft show they were hosting. Place was busy - good sign. It has kind of a granola crunch vibe but was cozy. Staff was excellent. We sat at a table for 2 hours and never felt pressured to leave. Had a flat white that was excellent. Didn't have any food but would try next time. I think I may have found my new hangout area in Galt. I did come at what looked like a busy time as there were not many tables available but thats a pretty good sign for the business. This is a very hipster kind of area, with lots to look at within the actual shop itself. There are plenty of local businesses that come and hang flyers, which is great for people who are new to the area like myself. The owner was behind the bar and made most of the drinks, he was friendly and seemed to love his job very much. I believe this cafe has been around for perhaps three years this year and has a steady stream of attention in the Galt area. If you enter "monigram coffee roasters" into your search engine there will be plenty of returns about this cafe being a local hot spot with a rich history. I ordered the chai apple cider and multigrain croissant BLT with kettle chips for a quick lunch. I think the Chai cider is going to be my new favorite drink, it is sweet from the apple but also has the spice of both the cider and the chai. This is an amazing combination, it is a natural sweet and spicy mixture that would be perfect with a scone or other bready baked items. I did drink this after I was done my croissant because I felt like they didn't mix well on my pallet. The multigrain croissant BLT was really good as well, there is a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce with the bacon; which is real and crispy! The croissant is baked in house as well as the kettle chips which were warm and salty. The space is large and clean, it is modern with an old english twist. I could go on and on but it would be best to head down and experience the coffee roasting genius for yourself. read more
