    My breakfast combo!

Nothing makes you feel like home like Starbucks in a foreign country! Even if this foreign country is Mexico : ) We were lucky enough to have this Starbucks in the walking distance from our hotel and it saved us many times! Most importantly, it has AC! It is also pretty clean and has very friendly baristas most of whom speak English. Plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs and free Wi-Fi. Menu items are pretty much the same as in the US and they even take your gold card (no redeeming your stars though). You can pay both in pesos and USD, and frankly, there is not much of a difference. I loved the fact that they had a breakfast combo: if you got any of their breakfast items, your espresso drink was 20% off. They also gave us coupons for buy 1 get 1 free drinks - pretty sweet deal! Definitely made our mornings easier : )

Baristas were very nice and welcoming. I'm from New York so I was very excited to see a Starbucks in Mexico. There wasn't any difference but it was still cool to see familiar places in a foreign country. They didn't have black tea. They only had green tea. I ordered Strawberry Green Tea, Peach Green Tea, and Mango Green Tea. The Mango Green Tea doesn't use Mango syrup like Teavana's other drinks. They use Mango purée. Very delicious!

It's pretty hidden so be sure to look for the Marina Sunrise sign ( see in my pictures). You walk upstairs and through a Starbucks pop up store/convenience store and then back down to the patio. Very small area but all tables have a gorgeous view of the water and if you get there at opening time (8am) like I did, you get to see the guys getting the rental boats ready for a fun day out on the water. This place is sooo inexpensive and really tasty! If you're looking for a break from the overpriced hotel breakfasts, this is your place. For 90 pesos ( roughly $4 USD) you get your choice of eggs, meat, OJ, coffee. That's a serious bargain. I mixed it up and got scrambled eggs with chorizo and got Grapefruit instead of OJ and opted out of coffee since it was already so hot outside. They also provide delicious tortillas. Totally worth every penny and more! Back home a basic breakfast like this would have run me close to $17, so it was nice to get a break for breakfast not costing you as much as other meals. Worth coming by and enjoying a peaceful traditional breakfast.

I was…read morecraving a nice walk and figured I would walk the 30 minutes over to this Starbucks for my beloved iced green tea. I believe they open at 7:30 but there are conflicting signs at the store as well as online, so I would call or just risk it if you're feeling adventurous. They are located in the middle of a super cool outdoor mall, right across from the McDonalds. The store inside and out is very clean and organized they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, both tables and couches. Only thing that would make it better would be to have misters outside because even though it's 8am it's HOT outside. So it feels nice they have the AC cranked all the way inside. They have 3 different types of Starbucks mugs for those collectors out there ( guilty). They have a Mexico one that I ended up buying because it was WAY cuter. They have one for Cancun and for Tulum, but neither of those really stood out. Menu is pretty standard with a few different items unique to Mexico. The chorizo panini is so delicious. Tastes like real spicy chorizo unlike the fake stuff back home!

We walked over from Live Aqua around 7:30 in the morning and it was nice being able to grab coffee before much else was open. The woman working when we visited was really nice and friendly, which made for a good start to the day. The menu is pretty much exactly what you would expect from a US Starbucks, so there were no surprises there. One thing that was different though was the food selection. They had a few items you do not normally see back home, which was cool to check out. Also, if you are hunting for souvenir cups, this location had a great selection. They had both Cancun and Tulum Starbucks cups available when we visited. The only downside, especially as an American, is that the Starbucks rewards system does not transfer over. It is on a different system in Mexico, so your points, rewards, and app benefits do not work here, which was a little disappointing. Overall, a solid Starbucks experience with friendly service, good coffee, and a convenient location for tourists staying nearby.
