The staff is very friendly and competent and the coffee, food and service are consistently very good. I had a very special experience in this particular location in Daytona I left my wallet in the restroom with my license, credit cards, and medical cards. I drove 1-1/2 hrs away until I realized that it was missing. I called this Starbucks and a very nice woman/manager named Shasha assured me that they had the wallet and that it would be locked in their safe. I couldn't make it back there before closing that day.She promised me that it would be secure and that I could come pick it up the next day. I was so relieved that it was there. My wife and I had breakfast here on a Monday morning and the experience was very disappointing. We have been to Starbucks stores all over the country and this was the least friendly place we have been to. One of the baristas would not put sleeves on hot drinks. I asked her to put them on our drinks and she gave them to me and I had to put them on myself. This location is right across street from the racetrack and was conveniently close to where we were. We stopped on way out of town and staff was very nice. They had my pumpkin spice so I was happy!! I think this place is overrated it has good coffees and good cake pops but very expensive! They are good with service but not names my mom ordered her name "Melanie" and they wrote "Melonee". Their mood is ok i like the wood. They have drinks for 7 dollars! This is outragious I pay 7 dollars for a small but dunkins smalls are 4! I would recommend dunkin they have cheap coffee and more snacks to choose from not just bagels, crisounts, and cake pops. It's super cute inside and everyone is super friendly. My orders are always correct and my drinks and food always taste good. My 3 stars has nothing to do with any of that. I don't know if it's the managers fault or corporate, but every time, no matter what time I walk in here. There's only a couple employees working struggling to keep up with everything. Everyone always seems like they're drowning, and I know that they do not get paid enough for that. Whoever is in charge of scheduling needs help, or needs to fight for their employees to be able to fully staff each shift. Starbucks recently changed their interior decor at the international location. As you can see in the picture taken, they have eliminated all inside seating, as well as given the decor a new vibe that takes away from the relaxing coffee shop vibe it once had. No longer can you come in to relax and drink your coffee or study if your a student. Now you are blasted with loud music, and the choice to sit outside in the sun or leave for somewhere else. We visited this Corporate Starbucks Sunday and Monday. My ordered a white hot chocolate and they gave him a regular one and it upset him. He has special needs and it's more frustrating for him to understand complications but we were already left and we're already running behind getting to the race track so we decided we would go again the next day and explain and get him a replacement. They said we needed to tell them the same day as soon as possible next time if they make a mistake in order to honor any corrections as apparently they get this a lot at this store. Which is red flag to me that staff must make mistakes often. As we were NOT EXPECTING something for free. We wanted the drink we ordered corrected. They really gave me a hard time about it and the person who spoke to me said his manager just griped him out the day before for honoring an order wrong from the day before. I said explained I can understand your position but had I received the correct order I wouldn't even be here asking you to fix/correct the issue as I had promised my son the correct drink so just charge me. He said no I'll make it whole this time. We'll they were so slow to handing me my items and I barely pulled away and realized I didn't receive the egg and protein box so I stopped and walked back to the window and they asked what was wrong and I said well your staff made a mistake again so I'm coming back as soon as I realized so I'm not accused of trying to get free items and so you can correct the issue IMMEDIATELY- well they were out of the protein box the app sold me so they gave me a cheese and fruit which is less expensive but at this point I didn't care I just took it and left. We will be back to Daytona BUT we will not go back to this Starbucks there are others we went to that had gracious and nice staff. If I could give it no stars that's what they would receive. There's a guy that works here named Willy, I went on two dates with him like 5 years ago and I was upfront with him about not wanting to pursue things further with him. TO THIS DAY I am still being punished by this kid. Several times I have placed a mobile order at this location and then the order just doesn't get made, because my name is obviously attached to the order. And I do mean SEVERAL times, at least 6. That was until I recognized him as the Willy. This Starbucks just opened in September, and I'm so glad it finally did. When passing through Daytona on the way to Orlando (or on the way back to Jacksonville), I've always had to stop at the Starbucks inside Target to get my fix. It's always been a pain. Well, now I don't have to do that anymore. The store is pretty easy to get to from I-95 if you are traveling. It's a couple of miles off the interstate, but it's just past the International Speedway. It's a straight shot. The only time I would advise to avoid stopping here while traveling is if a NASCAR race happens to be going on. The traffic will be so horrid that it'll take forever. I've only been here once thus far because I didn't know it was here. Thanks to Yelp for helping me locate it! Even though there's a drive-thru, I opted to go inside. Coffee and a potty break.. 2 birds. The two baristas I talked with were very friendly, and were all smiles. I rarely drink hot coffee... I'm an iced coffee kinda gal. This happened to be a chilly night, so I opted for a hot cocoa. The barista even did some cool leaf art on the top. It doesn't take much to make me happy... it's those little things, ya know?! =) This is a smaller store, so there's not a whole lot of seating; but, the seating they do have is nice and comfy looking. If you like sugar in your coffee, don't go here. I prefer Starbucks over Dunkin and I've been coming to this Starbucks location frequently the past few months. The past few weeks they've been making my coffee without sugar after I clearly asked for it. I even say my order slowly and yell SUGAR and they still manage to not put it in my coffee. I placed a mobile order at 12:05, did not get the mobile order until 12:46. At first they could not find the receipt/order. I showed them from my phone on the app with the receipt/order number. It was the correct store (we confirmed) and the order was able to be viewed. They supposedly were working on it. They were busy but people were coming in, ordering in person and leaving with their orders while we waited. I inquired again... still, they pushed ours to finish other orders in front of ours. Waiting 41 minutes for a mobile order that was scheduled to be ready for pickup at 12:17 is not realistic. The staff were nice, just the system or management for the day were lacking structure. It was like the mobile orders kept getting pushed back with each in-person order. Then the oldest mobile orders kept getting pushed back with the newest orders. During this time, 2 customers were being very rude to the baristas due to the wait times. Despite this, when I told one of the baristas I was running late to work and not to worry about finishing my drink, he made my drink ASAP and got it right to me.
