On our drive back from St. Augustine to Miami, we stumbled across Pines to Palms Artisan Coffee just off I-95 in a very non-descript shopping center. Honestly, if it hadn't been for Yelp -- and my absolute need for real coffee instead of Starbucks -- I never would have found this place. And I'm so glad we did. This coffee shop is truly a hidden gem. When you first walk in, there's a hand-painted coffee bean mural on the chalk wall that immediately gives the space a warm, homey feel. As you walk further in, there's merchandise, lots of comfortable seating, and a welcoming atmosphere where we ended up chatting with some locals who were incredibly friendly. The barista was wonderful and made a few recommendations for us, and every single one was spot on. I ordered the ChagaChino because I needed an energy boost without a bunch of sugar, and it was exactly what I was looking for. It had adaptogens, natural caffeine, and espresso shots blended perfectly together. Smooth, balanced, and energizing without feeling overly sweet. My boyfriend ordered the Sable Palm coffee, which had chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut flavors. He said it tasted like a Snickers bar in coffee form -- absolutely delicious. What really stood out beyond the drinks was just how genuinely friendly and welcoming everyone was. You can feel the community atmosphere the moment you walk in. I honestly wish this place was closer to home because we would become regulars immediately. This was just meant to be a quick pit stop but I've never seen such an adorable little coffee shop that I had to take pics and showcase this little gem in case there were other Travelers needing to stop for a Hot Chocolate pick me up. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make my drink chocolatey and dairy free with Oat milk. I think the name itself says a lot, but Pines to Palms is an absolutely adorable and charming coffee shop! It can take a little to find it because it definitely blends into the strip mall where it's located, but it's worth the find. It's got a very whimsical/ woodsy decor setup which totally matches the whole vibe. I tried the rose lavender vanilla latte and it was seriously so good. Any time you start putting floral tastes into a coffee it can be risky because it can quickly become too much and you feel like you're eating a garden. But they put the perfect ratios! The workers here were so nice, and if I lived in the area I'd for sure be a regular to come sit and do homework and work and hang out. Definitely try it if you're in the area!! read more

We were passing through town and stopped for coffee. Super cute shop! There's a little reading room and wifi if you wanted to work in a quiet spot too. The coffee is amazing! Great Barista Coffee hands down. The store is in a small strip mall by the side of the Rt 1 going East. Dont let the minimalistic ambiance fool you. The coffee is great, so is the warm service. The cranberry orange muffin is a must. Obviously ask for your coffee in a mug! read more

I had a very delicious iced caramel latte. This coffee shop is the only one in this area, close to I-95 and US1. It's definitely worth a pit stop. Pines to Palms is my go-to coffee spot when I am in the Ormond Beach area. The coffee is excellent and there is a wide variety of muffins and other pastries. I have tried all the other coffee shops in the Ormond area and Pines to Palms is clearly the best. In the past, seating has been somewhat limited but a recent major modification has added bar stool type seating which is very convenient single customers. Note: it is not easy to find, even though it sits on Route 1. It is located in a strip mall just south of the new ACE Hardware store. Pines to Palms is worth the drive from Ormond Beach. read more
